I get an error when I try to restore a backup from CWM (locked bootloader). I want to install the Rom Dualcore which is not a flasheable .zip, but is a cwm backup so I have to restore it
When I click on restore I get this...:
Checking MD5 sums...
Restoring system...
E:format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcblk0p12
Error while formatting /system!
then stuck at sony logo
please any idea¿? THANKS!
Use advanced kernel 14 as apparently the restore is fixed in it

Yep I flash it and I repeat the root + recovery process, but I would want to try that Rom, dont you know which could be the problem?
unlock the bootloader would be one solution.
Actually it has worked for many people with locked bootloader

Thank to all.

I don't know how to change the Kernel.
I've installed only an root exploit that I've found on the web.

Can't say if this fix the prob, but try it.
And yes all kernels with CWM support the nandroid backup

Okay. But does this error say to me that the nandroid backupping was unsuccessful or can i handle it like a notice so that I've got a correct nandroid backup un my system ?
I think it just "aborts" if it fails.

OK. I don't have this folder on my System. So I think it is either an application error so that it would not create that folder or it is not created because the backup doesn't run complete.

I think u won't get further with this kernel.
It's written that it isn't possible to get into the CSC.
So maybe it's because the kernel is not able to OR because soemthing wrong with the CSC.
Backup all ur important data to PC and try, or u can life without a nandroid backup

Okay. I saw in my Smartphone, that everytime I've tried to start the CWM Recovery it was landing in the Android System Recovery. It doesn't matter when I start the Backupping over the ROM-Manager or over the 3-Button-Mehtod. I don't come into the CWM Recovery.
My installed Verison is the 3.0.0.x version for Samsung Galaxy S2 (GT-I9100). When I choose the Samsung Galaxy S2 (galaxys2) CWM Recovery version, then i am coming into the CWM recovery tool but then it hang with that message

Right, with what you are saying you do not have permanent cwm and you mention rom manager. That doesnt work properly with s2 so if I was you I would
Flash that kernel mentioned earlier or

Re-download again the rom. Flash again. Md5 means file is corrupted
Sent from my GT-i9300 using Tapatalk 4
You will need to re-download the rom and flash it again in recovery.
Yeah redownload and see if there is no problem with md5 flashing if so if it is corrupt try without md5 to flash.

I had rooted my phone using 'Easy Rooting Toolkit (v-4)' by DoomLord..I was trying to install custom roms by cyanogenmod.. for some reason i was not able to install custom roms and was getting a status 7 error...so i did sd card partition from Rom manager..but instead of external it did an internal partition..after that my phone is recognizing many problems...many programs are force closing at anytime..if i do anything on phone and reboot then my phone goes into bootloop...then i have to reset data, clear partition and then reboot...then my phone starts properly....i am not able to root or install custom rom because as my phone reboots it remains into bootloop...
What went wrong ??? What should i do ???? How do i proceed ??? plz help me ..i searched many forums but did not get any good answers..pppppllllllzzzzzzz help!!!!!!!!!

Huawei(s) have locked bootladers... Which means custom recoveries (cwm, twrp..) are next to impossible to do/use, which means no backups to save you when $h¡+ happens, which also means working ROMs are virtually nonexistent... Sorry bro.. Might be time to exchange/trade in/return..

i can unlock bootloader officially .....does it have any risks.....and will it solve my problem.thanks for hlp bro....
