[Q] Stuck on LG logo screen after flashing a rom - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

I accidentally flashed aP760 custom rom onto myP769 After that, I wasn't able to boot my phone up.(stuck on LG logo) I've tried Hard-Reset(VolDown, Home and Power) I've also tried everything on cmahendra's post. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085344&highlight=15but still no luck after that... Is my phone forever bricked? If not, how can i fix it?
Additional Information:
I Rooted and installed recovery using apks found in the XDA-developers forums.
There isn't a "Security Error" below the LG logo
Followed what http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085344&highlight=15 said and on step 11, the flashing process always stops at 15%, saying that it couldn't detect my phone. I MADE SURE that the USB drivers are installed correctly.
I've tried this on a different PC, still same result.
I can only access two screens: the LG logo security error screen and the s/w upgrade screen.
Redownloaded the KDZ multiple times, still no luck (from the same site on his rom collection page)
Any help would be appreciated, Thanks~

I've tried that already too, but i get the following error message: "Updating is not possible any longer due to fatal error while the LG Mobile Phone Software Update."

It seems like i found the solution.
My phone was running on JB, not ICS. So i flashed ICS onto my phone using Fastboot. After that, i went back to the LG support tool (following cmahendra's post) and it went fine and smooth.

WORKS!

After 2 days of searching, your link of Fastboot saved my L9! It worked. Although I have OMAP4 driver missing but I searched "omap4boot-for_optimus-v1.21.7z" and used the drivers inside to force install (1) OMAP4*** driver (2) LG P2 (although not L9) driver
teh go back to offline update, this time it pass 15% and saved the phone to stock! Great thanks to you!!!!

You guys werent suppose to offline flash after waiting 30 min or more. You had to boot/flash into jb (mirrored) and then flash 10g.

[P765] LG Update Tool Error After Flashing JB

Hey All...need your expertise a particular issue that I'm facing. I flashed my P765 offline with the P760 JB kdz. flashed cm10.1. faced some issues so I returned to ICS with my cwm backup. Now when I try to flash either ICS or JB kdz with LG Update tool, it wont do it and I get stuck at 4% and it tells me to connect my phone with my computer - which I have already done (all drivers installed).
Attached is a screenshot and a log from the update tool. Hoping someone can guide me here. BTW - I have uninstalled and re-installed all drivers.
I have the same problem...
Did u try using cwm backups in the forum? If that works, try flashing kdz again n see :good:

hey all...i think I solved it...don't manually put your phone in software mode. Keep it powered on and in LG software mode. flash kdz using update tool and the tool will automatically put the phone in software mode.

I found out what is the problem. My computer has too many USB devices while the power supply is not the brightest. probably due to variations in voltage of 5V I had a problem updating. I disconnected bluetooth and external HDD after which everything is done regularly.

your are a champion,i was a bit to eager and flashed my wifes p768 with the jelly bean rom for the p760,bad idea, camera did not work anymore and apps like talk came back with error messages.tried to flash it back to ics but that was a no go with the manual option of sw mode, stopped constantly at 15% saying phone or device not connected.tried your option as last resort et voila' it worked like a charm.ics back on the phone
camera working again and no error msg's.
have to say but that the upgrade in general to jb on a lg phone does not seem to be a huge step, when i flashed my galaxy s2 to jelly bean that phone had like a whole new feel about it,feature and smoothness wise.
either way u made my day m8:laugh::good:

What events lead up to your bootloop problem?
If you didn't unlock the bootloader you should be able to get LG or your carrier to flash for you.

To tell you the truth I kind of don't know because it was working fine the day before this happens and when the next day came I try to check the time but the phone was dead.....
Then i relized that 2 days before this happen i tried rooting it which i wasint really good at or even knew how to root it so i download a kdz file and im guessing that is what probably caused but what i dont understand is when i try recovering it using lg support and when it gets to the update mode it keeps on stopping at 50% saying there was a problem between the phone and pc I tried using another computer and it told me the same problem.
P.s. I took it to a phone store they said it could fixed for 60 and they even said it just need an new kdz

Maybe try a different .kdz from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2107971
Sometimes files fail to download the way they should - maybe you have a corrupted kdz file and a new one will work?
Edit: Or maybe try the official update, you have instructions here: http://www.lg.com/us/support-mobile/lg-LGP769BK
P.S. If I was you, I'd simply unlock bootloader, flash a recovery and format from recovery. Then, I'd flash a ROM.

I think the easiest way is to use LG mobile support tool. refer to this member post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2456558&highlight=encrypt
- Boot you phone to S/W update mode
- Run LG mobile support tool (B2CAppSetup.exe)
- Select recover you phone from menu and wait for about an hour
- *Dont forget to comment lg server that you add in host file for offline flash
There're also other way to fix it, if you can boot into Stock recovery by Holding vol- + ... (I can't remember ), but this combo may hard reset your phone if you don't have stock recovery. In stock recovery mode you can use adb to push and replace busybox. I don't try this myself but some member unbrick their phone by this method.

You're on JB rom? Try to flash ICS u-boot/x-loader using Lelus tool first and try again. But for LG mobile support tool it should go pass 15% even if you flash it or not. May be you don't install latest lg usb driver?

[Q] security error on LG p769

Ok so i have tried everything on line i even tried takings my phone to a repair shop and my p769 is still stuck on LG security error someone please give me a way i can fix this im new at this kind of stuff so u might need to give me step by step please help i don't want to give up on it
How this happened i tried to install a custom Rom that said it would work with the p769 the phone shut off and when i tried to turn it on i got LG security error and i have tried Google and xda and YouTube someone help!!!!
Thank u in advance
I did the same thing when I was clueless with this stuff. You have a locked bootloader, and you need to unlock it to flash custom roms. Unlocking the bootloader is a mission on its own and is not a guarantee. To fix your problem you'll lose your info etc. on the phone.
1. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292828 download the fastboot attached file.
2. extract it into a folder
3. run fastboot.bat and select option 1
4. follow the instructions then run the commands in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45554676&postcount=6
5. close and reopen fastboot and select option 5 if your phone came ics stock, and option 7 if it came stock jb
6. now heres the time consuming/difficult part http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085344
7. once your done and you still can't boot or you have bootloops try factory reseting.
Do u know if this would work if im using a windows 8 laptop

The jb x and u should work on all variations of jb. The key is to flash the x and u that came stock with the phone. If you've flashed both already and weren't able to get past 15% you should try erasing everything again, flash the x & u for ics, and make sure to run LG tool as admin.
Thank you albino cookie, you and Kuma have provided some very useful information. Now I just know when I'm wiping the partitions not to wipe persist. I got past 15% with no problem flashing the u and x loaders. Then I recovered persist via fast boot thanks to albino cookie and Kuma.
Thanks guys! Kuma, I'm flashing your ROM.

I bricked my Xperia S

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to roms although I did install a few on my old zte blade a few years ago. Anyway I just tried to install the pacman rom from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2685822 and I've managed to brick it somehow. Install all seemed to go fine via CWM, selected reboot system and now it won't turn back on. No lights or anything. Only thing I get is a vibration when I hold the power button down =/
Any chance of saving it?
