I don't know what's going on but all of a sudden any notification I get from facebook actually shows up in my status bar. But I dont know what I did for it to do that and can't figure out how to get it working on my gfs fascinate. Any idea what could make this happen?

I'll attest to this. Suddenly this morning, notifications were working. It was odd.

Yes, it is simply Facebook trying to get the Push notifications working. Mine randomly have been working for a couple of months. But only here and there, they are having a hell of a time with it for some reason.
hi guys, my phone made an automatic update yesterday to find out that it was the jelly bean update. i was really excited to install it on my phone, but once it was installed it really got me frustrated because my phone doesnt vibrate anymore when i receive a message even when it is in vibrate mode. it only vibrates when i receive a notification
(e.g Facebook) . i have installed AudioManager but still doesnt work.
Help anyone? is there a way i can go back to ICS?? ... My phone isnt rooted by the way.

I really like the tablet GUI and don't want to move to the phabet one, at least till GUI can be changed for 4.2.2...
I don't think I will miss any of the new features...
But what is bugging me is the update notification. How do I remove it? I turned the auto update off but its still there. Tried reboot as well...

If you are rooted, you can simply freeze with TB the Update Center app and no more notification to upgrade to 4.2.2

This drove me nuts for awhile too. I believe I ended up going into the Samsung Hub app and then the settings for it.
You have to go to the internet and download the Samsung App Store. Then you can go to purchased apps and update from there. SHealth and one other one was wanting me to update the last few days.
I am receiving notification on lockscreen but unable to expand to see what the message is.
Example if I have 5 WhatsApp message, on other phone I could press & drag down to see what the messages are but not on honor 7.
Any help

Same problem here.
Have not found a way to fix this, apart from installing another lockscreen which turns off your fingerprintscanner.
Yep.. That's exactly the problem I have.. Really thinking of returning the phone

I did return the phone in september after only a day of usage, pretty much just for software littlenesses like this one... that's just a shame for a phone like this, if just huawei would relase codes to get AOSP built...
Same problem, very annoying. Really hope this gets sorted in 6.0. Might give NiLS a try as I used this on my previous phone running 4.4.4.
Actually going to install it right now, I'll let you know how it works on the Honor 7.
Hi Largamelion,
Did it work

Yes NiLS works very well. I turned off all notifications on lock screen from EMUI and replaced them with NiLS. Finally getting notifications from Gmail on the lock screen and all notifications can be expanded. I can recommend this to everyone. The free version has everything I need but I might buy the premium one for just 2$ to support the dev (who is btw a member here on XDA).
Thanks for the update
