How to return to stock? - T-Mobile HTC One (M7)

I have the HTC One from T-Mobile I unlocked the bootloader and rooted and flashed a ROM, I forgot to backup and now I need to return the phone back to stock and I need help.
I need to relock bootloader and unroot and get the phone back as it was when I got it please help.
I searched online and here and could not find a way unless I some how missed it.

An RUU is available. I hear it is currently corrupted, but should be fixed in a day or so. Use this to return to stock, or check out the thread from behold_this in General. His files should get you back to 100% stock if you can't wait for the RUU.

Which is a better or more official?
Thanks.

The RUU is straight from HTC/T-Mobile... but the files from behold_this are the same that would have been used in the previous RUU.

I just looked at it and he states only if you are on stock I might get boot loop

Then I would wait for the RUU if at all possible.

doesn't need to be updated, just remember to flash an old firmware patch before you boot.
GB ruu it. While they may not notice if it has ics or gb, you're better off being safe than sorry.

You don't 'need' to do anything. However, if it is just out of the box I would recommend this : http://themikmik.com/showthread.php?13780-STEPS-TO-ICS-FIRMWARE-UNLOCK-ROOT-and-S-OFF
The tutorial takes through update of the firmware to unlocking/root to s-off and then whatever you desire after. :good:
At the minimum, I would update the firmware by running the RUU, and then unlocking. Don't unlock first because you'll just have to relock to run the RUU!
As a previous poster commented, you don't have to update the firmware, but I bet you will eventually so get er done now.
There are other tutorials/"all in ones" out there so look and read around.

FWIW, just activated a warranty replacement yesterday. My specific steps were:
1. Unlock bootloader
2. Flash Amon Ra and do nandroid.
3. Flash 3.14.605.10 firmware & ICS leak from bootloader as PH98IMH.ZIP.
4. Run Juopunut's S-OFF
5. Reflash Amon Ra
6. Flash my ROM (see sig).
I also flash Titanium as a zip, and use App2zip. Not everything works when I do things that way, but it takes me most of the way home.

noob question

I have an GSM unlocked HTC One with bootloader unlocked. I didnt use lost the function of calc or sound recorder when unlocking that i have read. My question is will i still be able to receive OTA updates? and is there a very simple way to go back to stock or get the google play edition?
If you do anything to modify your phone you will not be able to accept OTA updates but you can always flash ruu's as long as you re lock the bootloader before you try to flash it. (which is also how you got to stock.) And currently the only way to run the play edition software is by flashing a custom Rom

So if I relock my bootloader and flash a stock ATT Ruu i will be able to accept the OTA updates? (if i understand you correctly)
I have only unlocked the sim and unlocked the bootloader via HTCDEV.com no rooting
Yes that's correct, SIM unlocking shouldn't affect anything, just the bootloader

You said you were on the stock Rom right? You probably can get away with just locking the bootloader. As for the ruu designgears has a thread in general

Convert AT&T to International

Just curious if anybody has converted their AT&T Stock HTC One to an International One. Unfortunately I cannot root my phone since I use it for work and due to security settings mobileiron will block my emails if it detects root.
So my end goal is to convert my AT&T HTC one to an International One so I can get the latest updates via OTA without having to wait for AT&T.
I have posted a guide which is a WIP at the moment here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43397755

Can any provide step by step guide please...
There is lot of confusion...
Well lets say i s-offed my At&t htc one.. Then i can convert cid and mid to international htc one, but how to do that?
Ok suppose somehow i convert it to international cid and mid, but again the latest RUU is only 4.1.2 available... But i can recieve 4.2.2 OTA that is rolling for international htc one right? But again everyone is saying that s-off is not available for 4.2.2 ... So now what?

Yeah?? May be i am mistaken then...
Some one said on page number 159 in revone developer early access thread..
Anyways bro.. Can you please correct me if i am wrong...
First i need to s-off , then i need to convert to some Cid and Mid of sim unlocked htc one( as 4.2.2 is officially available for sim unlocked htc one) then i need to run RUU 1.29 of sim unlocked htc one and then relock the bootloader , then get the OTA of 4.2.2 ...
Can you please tell me Cid and Mid of sim unlocked HTC one?

All I know is you have to change the cid not the mid and after that I don't know because I have no desire to do that. The cid for an unlocked one is HTC__001
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4 Beta
So I have tried this but currently stuck....
I got S-OFF and I was able to change the CID to HTC_Y13 (which currently has 4.2.2 pushing).
So I tried to install the RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.28.401.7_Radio_4A.13.3231.27_10.31.1131.05_release_310878_signed however it said that it is not compatible.
After that, I went down the path and changed the CID to 11111111 and I was able to flash that RUU
Hooked up to WIFI and there was the 1.29.401.12 update pending. However this is where I am stuck....it will download the update however when it goes to apply it it will tell me that my system is modified and that it can't install it.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Check the location, if it's for the factory unlocked version it's HTC__001, not sure about the others.

After spending 6 hours on this today I was able to finally convert my AT&T Phone to an International HTC__001 and was able to upgrade to 4.2.2 using HTC__Y13 CID. I will write something up when I have some time, but this is a WIP.

The only issue that I have noticed so far is that I am unable to get LTE. Curious if I can flash an AT&T radio from the 4.1.2 release or maybe just wait for the official AT&T update and then flash that radio. I am still getting about 14Mbps/5Mbps so speed is not currently an issue but would like to have LTE.

Turns out the ROM doesn't have the LTE icon, after I followed another persons suggestion on another thread I was able to confirm under phone info that I am running "Network Type: LTE".

Thanks, I will try to write something up but I did so many things that I may not be able to recall every step that I did so I will post a WIP-GUIDE for this so as we have other people (if they wish) to debrand their phone we can get a step by step guide that way.

Yes. I locked the boot loader. Then flashed the old RUU to get stock recovery. Then upgraded OTA. Then unlocked the bootloader again through HTCDEV. Then put TWRP on and rooted again. Long process but it works.

And thanks, been waiting since last night for someone to clarify OTA installation for root users. Also does it matter what ROM I am currently using? And one more thing(lol sorry,) please clarify or direct me as to how to 're-lock or lock boot loader. Thanks! Your all awesome!
