Homebutton wake is working. Just gotta change system/usr/keylayout/generic.kl file to
Key 172 HOME WAKE
Or so
You gotta find it yourself. Maybe CM skips that update and directly goes to key lime pie.

Just a little correction if anyone is going to try it. Map key no 172 for HOME WAKE.
And CyangogenMod di tweet yesterday "10.2 It begins." so it must be 4.3 coz KLP would be CM11 in all probability.
Whats to be seen is if L9 continues to be officially supported by the wonderful CM Team.

indeed. jelly bean 4.3 is not that "wow" .. and the main problem is with this versions.
if google makes more 'silly versions' of android .. we have a strong change to remain with 4.xx .
Does anyone knows will we ever get 4.2.2 frol lg, official?

They don't support any other variant. But then expecting them to support different variants of the same device could be too much to ask.
BTW for 4.3 update they are working on the OMAP devices which should be a good news for us

Well actually they drop their devices, like they did with x8 its got only 2.1 official firmware, but since Xperia U is anew device we will get ICS and in nearls future i hope JB. Sony is slow with their updates but they dont like other manufacturers, they did their updates unique and smooth like butter and tottaly different from others and for that they need some time
I remember the x8, I still have 2 of them. Both run bug free 2.3 overclocked and they never give any problems. I would have enjoyed the phone a lot less if it were not for the amazing devs over there, stock 2.1 is very limited and boring. I hope sony dont forget about the U and deny us JB. @dsaklein its nice to see a familiar name around here, x8 was getting a little old.

I am also awaiting to see results of 4.3 additions to current rom projects.
But I personally think the LGOG design is much nicer than the N4, the N4 rounded top and bottom make it look like HTC wannabe and seems to add bulk to the phones.
If I had known about the Oppo Find 5 earlier, I would have gotten that instead since the lack of microSD, LTE and the terrible design on the N4 turned me off completely. So ended up with the LGOG for $49, at least the price was attractive since I already pay for the data plan.
FYI, the iPhone 4S is still $100 more at AT&T. And I see AT&T still has iPhone 4, guess Apple in their contract made AT&T buy far more phones than they were able to sell.
- I noticed some AT&T employees even had Windows 8 logo on their shirts, to promote the Nokia WP8 phones, with the shirt on, tried desperately to convince me to upgrade to the iPhone 4 .99 upgrade, not the 4S, not the 5. I found that very amusing.

It is 4.3 running on a stock JB LGOG. As nygfan760 said, any mako kernel will boot on the LGOG, as long as it is updated with the jellybean partitions, which is why the kernel version is identical. I am using it because an android 4.2.2 kernel will not boot android 4.3, caused by changes in the code base between the versions, such as SEAndroid support.
Kernel modifications will be needed for a fully working device. External sd card and physical touch buttons are the main things that would require a new kernel build, and will not be possible until source is released.

Sorry about such a long title. The question is mainly aimed at developers. At the moment (correct me if I am wrong) 4.2.2 by team Canjica is the latest working cyanogen-based rom for xu. It has not been updated in a while and there are no major working builds out by other devs with 4.2.2, although 4.1s are quite a few and are updated fairly regularly. What is the catch and will this situation likely change? Why do people not fork from Canjica's progress? All but front cam is functional.

It is just as I understand development - it is building on the best towards even better and right now we do have a fairly solid 4.2.2 with sources, meanwhile people keep using earlier stuff for their roms also cyano-based. I'm only hoping everyone is waiting for a 4.4 to go hot.

Hi All. I'm wondering if, realistically speaking, we can expect to have Android 4.4 on the Atrix 4G? From what I understand, even the 4.3 port is not yet stable enough to be a daily driver, so perhaps it is unrealistic to expect 4.4 to come.

All development is being put into the kernel at the moment. krystian has stated that the 3.1.10 kernel should be able to run 4.4, however if not, he'll work on revising the kernel to match the Nexus kernel (I think he said it was at 3.4?) For us, CM10.1 (4.2) is the most stable current Android version. Cyanogenmod even says it on their page/wiki, 4.3 is at the preview stage, meaning its not at the same stage as all previous versions. That's why it is not stable enough to be a daily driver. Epinter just resurfaced and released an updated CM10.1 to reflect the changes in 10.1.3. He stated in his thread, since the updated release, that he will give CM11 (4.4) a shot. He's not making any promises besides saying that he will attempt to build.

Not sure, but I'm guessing it's because since the YP-G70 (SGP 5.0) came out, the 4.2 got old. Well, the YP-G70 is already pretty old anyways, so that would make the Galaxy Player 4.2 even older.
Sent from my YP-G70 using XDA Free mobile app
Player 4.0&5.0 = Exynos 3110 CPU = better performance && possibility of sharing platform and codes with Galaxy S series = nice development
Player 3.6&4.2 = OMAP3 CPU = worse performance && few platforms to share with = few development
And isn't 5.0 out before 4.2?

That just might be true but i can try to do something if i can figure out how to build a cwm 6 recovery for our device
Just found some git sources for the 4.2 it is a kernel modified for booting android 4.4.x ( all credits to @Androthan ) if someone could compile it and post the compiled files that would be great

Well I can compile it, but compiling it would get you nowhere because for cm11, you need the uncompiled sources to build...also the kernel is not tested, and there's no guarantee it'll work.

Well it is not dead. I've had some personal problems for the past couple of months, mainly exams, but I've got a couple weeks holiday from the 22nd, so I plan on giving the last update within that time.
But I have been developing for it, bit by bit.
For example, I got the ICS lockscreen working, I fixed the bugs of the Tile status bar and also ported Swipe to Kill Recent Apps, which will all be included in the update.
When I said no active development, I meant development to port other versions of android, like cm.
