Going back to stock jb - HTC Desire X

As the title says i'm looking for a way to get back to stock JB.
I did use that search button but i'm not sure what steps to follow.
I did relocked it when i upgraded to JB but not sure if the same metod is good or where to get the appropriate files.
HBOOT-1.25.0002
Radio-1.15.40.04
CID:HTC_32
My display has the problem with the broken pixels or whatnot on the right side so i was thinking to get it to warranty...getting on stock room seems a good ideea and safer for reply's like"you lost your warranty by unlocking your bootloader".

Installing ICS - Is this the right procedure?

Would this be the right procedure? I was reading the wiki and want to ask..
I would do the following...
(I am rooted; BulletProof 2.5.. Android 2.3.4 - Tmobile)
1) Follow this tutorial to unroot and get back to stock:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27058110&postcount=44
2) Follow this tutorial to install ICS
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26865752&postcount=27
3) AND...Then... I will be unrooted..
How would I root again on ICS?
So is this the right procedure??
and what would I do for (#3)?

You don't necessarily need to use my OTA tutorial if you're gonna restore to complete stock GB, then you can just download the file via the software update option on your phone and let it install the update itself, the guy above answered your final question already.

, go for it then. If you're on tmobile, there's a file that can be used as a PH85IMG to update instead, that may be a bit easier if the OTA is iffy.
ok got the image...
For rooting ICS, do I still unlock the bootloader.. the whole process?
and thanks for all the help so far.

Yes unfortunately bc don't you need a recovery like cwm or 4ext to flash super user? Anyways you should s off. Makes everything super easy.

Does make it super easy, doesn't have to though, it's all upto him if he wants to. Lol at needing my approval, about time you started being confident in what you say dude, you've messed with your own device, you should know which was better for you in your opinion, your opinion matters since you did do it and you know the benefits personally.
Ok, I can give S-OFF another try.. but last time I tried and I was in this rom: "BulletProof 2.5" , it did not work.... so from experience of you guys, what rom have people been the most sucessful getting S-OFF??
You won't need s-off if you using the method I gave you

ok, ill think about the 2 options.. with S-OFF and with S-ON.
but as far as reverting to stock to then flash ICS, no instruction says I need to have my bootloader back locked... I do, right?

Relocked is the same and when attempting s-off, stock rooted rom is a better call, it saves you the hassle that custom roms may cause.
I mean the MD5 sums fail on both PHP8img w/e name... and the nand backup to restore to original ginger garbage.. so I think it's because I have to relock my bootloader by doing OEM_lock or whatever the command is.
do I have to lock bootloader to go back to stock?
and also.. do I need to flash the original kernel?
come on.. someone answer me please... I will make a REALLY good tutorial noob proof for everyone else when I finish doing this.

I was also having problems with my downloads so I downloaded thru my phone. I also found that I had better luck downloading straight from football's account on file factory. You can find his account on stock roms collection page 5 snargaflab post where it says "here"
Hope this helps, as far as locking bootloader when s on I think you do have to lock bootloader. If nobody is helping I suggest you try it out.

Lock your bootloader via the fastboot oem lock command or use hasoon's tool to do it,
download this file here: http://d-h.st/3VD
Place that on your sd card and rename it PH85IMG do not place it in any folders, etc.
Reboot into hboot via the volume down/power button method, when your hboot finds the file, hit volume up to update, phone will reboot on it's own. You're on ICS.
Unlock your bootloader, install 4ext recovery via hasoon's tool and hit the Perm root ICS/GB option, follow all on screen instructions.
All done, official ICS and you're now rooted as well.

Trying to Go Back To Stock From ICS/Stuck at Locked Bootloader Screen

Hey there guys. I'm hoping to get some help with a problem I'm having.
I'm not the smartest of guys when it comes to the ROM world. I know my way around, but I get lost sometimes and can spend a good week trying to get myself out of a jam. With that said, here's my problem.
I have an HTC Rezound that had the current ICS firmware on it. I'm going to sell it on eBay so I need to get it back to stock. I googled my way to an RUU that turned out to be older than the one I need. I found out the hard way. I believe it was a 2.... version. I can't remember the correct series of numbers. But I'm pretty sure that I need one with a 3.x.x.x
So after running the wrong RUU exe, I'm now left with a relocked bootloader that limits what I can do.
I've tried several different things that leave me with the same rebooting bootloader.
Here is what's currently being displayed on my screen.

Without getting to emotional, is there anyone out there that is willing to help me out and give me a good guiding push in the right direction? I'm pretty much baffled as to what to do. I'd appreciate any help anyone is willing to send my way. Thank you ahead of time.
-Kristopher
You have to be S-Off to flash back to an older RUU. With S-On you can only go forward. So your stuck on ICS unroll you s-off.

You can go down to the bottom of post #3 to find a link and directions. Since you are already 'locked' you can skip step 4. Don't forget to "thank" NilsP while you are there. :good:

Should I do anything else before someone buys it from me? Is it going to work like normal from here on out or no?

Sorry, but this is not the way to run up your post count.
Maybe if you said what you have installed, what you are trying to do, and what you have tried so far someone could actually help you.
And there's no need to open two threads simultaneously unless what you are looking for in each is totally unrelated, and there's no way to tell that at this point.

Relocking the bootloader will not update it to a different version. If you did the relock to flash an RUU that will update the bootloader to the stock level associated with the RUU and you will have to HTC unlock it, flash a custom recovery, then root the stock ROM or flash a custom rooted ROM.
I suggest rooting the stock ROM then doing the JuopunutBear wire trick to gain S-OFF before flashing custom ROM's to make everything much easier. There are guides to do all these thing that you can find if you use the advanced search mode for these forums and scan only titles for the topics you need.

I guess people should learn to give as much info as possible

Click on "HTC EVO 3D" next to the "home" icon and right below "PORTAL" in the upper left hand corner of this page, then search titles as indicated in my last post. You should have enough information to get started for what you need to do.
Sorry, but if you can't find what you need at this point then you probably shouldn't be worried about root and S-OFF.

[Q] Q: Getting back to ICS

Hey guys.
My question is if I can go back to ICS. Actually I on JB 4.1.1 but I can't get OTA.So I'm thinking to go back to ICS to restore my nandbackup.. Is there a way to do it?
I was googling but couldn't find something for this device...Also I don't want to brick the phone
Any suggestions..
I'm still S-ON and my HBOOT is HBOOT-1.25.0002.
Getting back to ICS
Thnx
I think theres two ways to do it.
1.Downgrade hboot (I do not recommended this..)
2.Look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2213663

New Rom for ReZound

I've had the ReZound since it was first introduced. I upgraded to what I think was ICS when the leaks came out of the Verizon ROM.
It's been a while and as of late the phone has been slow. I don't know if wiping it clean when using the bootloader screen will take me back to the original OS, or if it will reload ICS.
Regardless, I need advice/ opinions. Should I try to find a JB ROM, or the newest OS available? Will the phone hardware support it without being too slow?
Pictures aren't working for me for some reason. I'll upload a screenshot of my current software as soon as I can get to my PC.
Thanks

Try a KK ROM if you're on the latest firmware and update you're fine. You just need to unlock the bootloader through htcdev.com load a recovery, flash a ROM, then flash the boot.img since you're probably still s-on. If you want I can provide a FULL like 45 step by step by step guide.
When you unlock the bootloader it will just factory reset the phone. Nothing much.

I'm afraid I may need that kind of explanation. Like I said it's been a full 2 years since I messed with this at all, and I don't remember much, if anything. Apparently I don't have 10 posts yet, so I can't upload pics. I'll figure, something out.
