I have a mini pro that used to run IGO sat nav really well when I was on Android 2.2. Ever since updating to ICS and now JB (nobody at all rom and kernel) the IGO sat nav does not work properly. I get terrible stuttering on the voice turn by turn directions. I have tried clean installing the IGO program a few times, but still get the same problem. Does anyone know how to rectify this as it worked perfect on Android 2.2. Alternatively If I can't get this to work are there any other offline turn by turn Sat Nav programs people would recommend for the mini pro?

Hi,
Everything in AP4 has been running perfectly but then today I installed TomTom and mucked around with the GPS settings (hardware ports etc) and now when I try to launch Opera it starts to boot and then disappears. Are these related? Did I break something?
Also media player doesn't run anymore which may be an AP4 bug bt it was working fine.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do? Is it possible to uninstall and reinstall?

I'm sure this is connected but looking for advice and help
Since I started playing with Android on my HD2 I have been having problems with Bluetooth and 3G on Windows (and bluetooth on Android).
When rebooting into windows, phone will not set up BT pairing correctly. It stopped responding to my car handsfree (parrot CK3000) which had worked flawlessly for a year. Trying to pair with PC seems to work but when I try to transfer files it fails and tries to pair again, unsuccessfully.
Pairing with Parrot in Android won't work either.
As for 3G. Phone keeps forgetting the password setting for data connection.
Tried hard reset in windows, no success. Tried different radio, same problem.
Can using android screw this up. Pulling my hair out with this as nothing seems to work.
Using Elegancia WM6.x.x with CHT ROM, with MDJ FroYo Sense clean Android build. ROM.
Radio is currently 2.12.50.02_2
Task 29 and Install latest 3.14 ROM
we know that we can realize navigation in gtablet by connecting GPS model~
but I wonder whether we can realize navigation in gtablet by connecting a garmin GPS(my garmin GPS type is 295w) by using the usb port?
thanks~
i dont think so garmins gps is not set up to share its gps data over usb or bluetooth. you best bet is to get a bluetooth gps unit and use bluegps on the gtab to get navigation they modules run about 20-60 dollers for most and work just great.
Garmins don't work. I have two and neither will share their gps signal.

Actually Garmin gpsr's do share their signal via usb. I have used my gpsmap 60csx with my wndows laptops using garmin software Nroute and their mapping software. I am still looking for a method to use it with android.

But doesn't that require that the software can read the usb signal? I haven't found anything on android that will do this.
I went with a Tom Tom Navigator 6 gps unit (approximately the size of a pack of gum) and BlueGPS on the tablet. It works a little strange since you pair to the gps unit but it never "connects". It just appears in the BlueGPS service and it available to all the gps enabled apps on the g-tab.
I also use Tomtom Bluetooth GPS with CoPilot live 8.
Works great.
Although to answer OP's question about USB connection:
Viewsonic ROMs based on 1.1 version didn't have much of USB functionality.
Now, with 1.2 version released there is more USB support, as keyboard and mouse and several others.
I do not have 4391 installed yet, so cannot try it out.
Maybe someone else running recent ROM can try to connect USB based GPS and let us know?
I'm looking into gettin garmin_gps module for my CM9 galaxy i9000 running 3.0.8-g4cf4918.
anybody has any hint on how to build the module? thanks a lot

Hi, i have an external bluetooth GPS device (Nokia LD-3W) and i tried to use it with my Touchpad running CM7 Alpha 2.1, but got no luck yet.
I can install the sygic app without problems, but i get a FC when i try to start it...
Maps application als FC's
Anyone maybe got something similar working?
I used "Bluetooth GPS Provider" from MOBILE-J.DE to link my Holux GPSlim 236 to the TouchPad.

Use Bluetooth GPS from the market and this will search and find all bluetooth devices and you pick the one you want.
I have linked two different GPS receivers without problem.
Agreed, Bluetooth GPS works beautifully with my Holux M-1200 GPS receiver.
Hi All,
I'm running the latest SmOoTher_BeAn mod and love how much more responsive my gTab is. I do have a problem getting my bluetooth GPS receiver to work. It is properly paired but my nav app (Sygic) doesn't seem to recognize it. I then sideloaded the BluetoothGPSProvider.apk which worked on a previous TeamDRH ICS install but it doesn't work on JB. Any ideas on how I can get my GPS receiver to work?
Thanks,

Anyone?
