Question about Wi-Fi Calling And MMS On P769 T-Mobile Version - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

I can send MMS via Wi-Fi calling but I can't download them, on my LG G2X (it was running Cyanogenmod 7) so I don't know if that matter I could send and receive. On this I can't unless I turn off Wi-Fi calling and acquire a signal to a tower which if home is difficult at best as I am in a pretty decent dead zone with reception here and there.

While in Mexico next month can I WiFi call to the US on my g3 ?
I have the HTC One (M8) and did my update (Which added the Wi-Fi calling app). I am currently in Mexico (Been here since Saturday) and I couldn't get the Wi-Fi calling to kick in while connected to a Wi-Fi. Everytime I tried to connect by enabling the Wi-Fi the location part of the Wi-Fi calling app would kick in and I would get a message something to the effect that wi-fi calling wouldn't work in my current location (Not exact words but that is what it would tell me). So I decided to turn off the locate me feature in the Wi-Fi calling app and enter my home address (from the US) and it said confirming address took a while and it seemed like nothing happened. A little while later all my text messages and my voicemail s started to show up on my phone and the Wi-Fi calling icon showed up on my status screen.
I'm going to be honest. I was also tinkering with the network connection settings and manually selected cdma/lte in the network mode and enabled Domestic voice and data. I just wanted to get some type of service (i didn't care if it was going to go into roaming because I needed to make calls back to the states). So I'm assuming I am using the Wi-Fi calling feature because I don't have the data portion on the phone turned on and I don't have international voice or data enabled. But I will find out on my bill next month.
If I'm really on Wi-Fi calling mode then the key (i think is to trick the location servive of the Wi-Fi calling app to think you in the US by typing in an address in the US and not letting the app locate you automatically to Mexico....
I was trying to upload screen shots from my phone but the web browser let's me. I will pots the images after the 19th..

I just returned from Mexico and had turned the wifi calling on my last day their. At first worked great made a few calls back and it worked crystal clear. Then it started to ask for location I tried everything even when it did accept a location over the border in the U.S.(I was in a border town) it stopped working. My friend who has the wifi calling from T-mobile had no problem. Hopefully Sprint (lol) will get a clue.

S5 Drops Signal After Connecting to WiFi

Hey guys, I have a T-Mobile branded Galaxy S5 (SM-G900T) that I'm using on Metro PCS and whenever I connect to wifi I can't receive mms messages. I will get the text and it will ask me to download the image but then I get a never ending progress bar. So then I'll turn off WiFi and I will have bars but the 4G LTE indicator will be gone and the only way to get it back is to reboot the phone. Any ideas as to what this could be? I have tried using both the T-Mobile & Metro PCS APN settings but the issue still happens no mattter which APN the phone is set to. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

No ROM, it's stock.
wifi calling enabled and set to only make calls on wifi?
This will happen when you have wifi calling enabled. That is why you see the cell signal bars go gray or grayed out. Turn off wifi calling and you will see you signal bars come back, as long as you have cell signal (service) at your house.

Having WiFi calling enabled won't affect your data and messaging at all unless there is a connection issue with the router.

It sounds like a connectivity issue on the routers side if the APNs are correct. I would go back to Metro PCS APNs then check your signal strenth and link speed in the phones WiFi settings, then check to make sure WiFi calling does not display an error in the call settings. If all 3 are good then check your client list on router and make sure phones IP address and MAC id is there. If IP and MAC id are good run diag log on router and possibly change/test different wireless channels on your router.
I never have WiFi calling enabled so I don't see that as a cause, and I have tried both the MetroPCS and T-Mobile APN settings and it still happens. I'm still able to receive calls and send text messages but I can't receive MMS messages or access data. The only way to fix the issue is to turn on airplane mode for about 10 seconds and then turn it off and I get the 4GLTE signal indicator back along with full service. Its really weird because when this happens, I still have a signal indicator with 3-4 bars but the only the 4GLTE indicator disappears.

I will get the same issue as stated above. When you have bars present with no data icon, its because your phone is latching on to another network when MetroPCS is not to be found. At my office, T-Mobile service is the pits, yet i get bars present. I usually open the dialer and type *#0011# and it will show what band your phone is picking up, from there you can tell if you are really on MetroPCS or someone elses network.

Wifi calling button grays out each time a call begins

I am experiencing an intermittent problem where Wifi Calling gets disabled on incoming/outgoing phone calls. The button starts out looking enabled, but the second I accept an incoming call or dial outward I notice the Wifi Calling icon gets grayed out. Once the icon gets grayed out, the call experience is equivalent to having Wifi Calling enabled. In other words, it seems to be dropping back to LTE. I have very poor reception in my office so LTE calls drop out very frequently.
How do I go about troubleshooting the underlying cause?
Background information:
* The phone is an unlocked, unrooted Samsung S9+ running Android 8.0.0. The model number is SM-G965W. The build number is R16NW.G965WVLU2ARF7.
* My service provider is Rogers (Canada). They have noticeably worse LTE service than my previous provider (Telus) but it's unclear whether this is the cause of the problem.
* The phone is connected to my home router, running OpenWRT 18.06.1.
* The internet connection is 25Mbps down, 10Mbps up.
Are there any sort of log files I could look into which would indicate why Wifi Calling is getting disabled, or dropping to LTE?
If this forum isn't the right place to ask, where else could I ask?
Thank you,
Gili

Any success making Wifi Calls on T-mobile in USA ? (not just enabling option in menu)

Hello,
I have read and found success making options for wifi calling appear in the stock menu when it was absent before, however the phone is nonetheless unable to make wifi calls after enabling. Tried placing phone in airplane and turning wifi on.... or just choosing the "wifi only" option for making calls in the network menu - Resulting message always states to connect to a wireless network to proceed with the call, even though I have an excellent connection and internet works fine.
I have done an exhaustive search for methods to successfully use T-Mobile's wifi calling feature on my phone.
My initial research revealed that the option should work so long as your phone supports wifi calling as well as your carrier.
The wifi calling option was absent (as well as VoLTE) on the stock ROM, so I had high hopes that a custom ROM which included the feature would allow me to utilize the service with T-Mobile (my current GSM carrier).
After a slew of unsuccessful attempts to make calls using wifi vs the mobile network, I finally called T-Mobile's tech support who was actually quite helpful, but essentially stated that wifi calling through T-Mobile requires the carriers own proprietary software to work... in other words, even though T-Mobile likes to promote the ease with which you can BYOD (bring your own device), it would appear that the wifi calling feature is only possible when buying a phone directly from T-Mobile unless a custom rom is built which is at least partially based upon T-Mobile's own proprietary software with regard to wifi calling.
If ANYONE has had any luck at all placing wifi calls on the T-Mobile network domestically in the U.S. using the global/MEG7 version of Redmi 5 Plus, your assistance would be immensely appreciated. I have found that, although my phone does not support multiple LTE bands used by T-Mobile, I am still able to make LTE calls quite frequently in my region using the single supported band.... however, my home is a "dead zone" so to speak and, even though I am smack dab in the middle of an excellent coverage zone, my service inside the house is poor enough that others' attempts to call are unsuccessful, leaving me unaware of the call unless a message is left.
At this point, I am getting ready to throw in the towel so any advice or success stories would be greatly appreciated - or, on the flipside, a validation that wifi calling is just not possible at this time so I don't have to drive myself crazy with a continued search for which a solution does not yet (or may never) exist.
Many thanks for your help!

LTE not dropping to 3g to receive calls

Hello all!
I have a Samsung A01 (SM-a015AZ) unlocked from Cricket, being used in Pakistan. Internet over LTE works perfectly, however the phone does not support VolTE and so it is only possible to send sms or call over 2g/3g. There's no problem when making a call as the phone automatically drops from LTE to 3g, however that does not happen when someone else tries to call me. The phone does not drop from LTE, nor do I even get any missed calls/sms notifications, but to the person calling me it seems like my phone is unreachable.
There are 3 options present in the preferred network mode (LTE, 3g, 2g) If I set it to 3g, all calls work fine, but with really really bad internet (EDGE). I have even tried to see if any settings in the advanced network configuration menu (By dialing *#*#4636#*#*) would make a difference, however I've had no luck so far. I would really appreciate it if someone can help me with this.
tl;dr Samsung A01 drops from LTE to 3g to make calls, however does not drop when someone else is calling and so does not receive any calls.
