A status 6 error in Clockworkmod Recovery is usually caused by editing the updater-script in a program such as notepad or wordpad on Windows that breaks the unix style formatting (Creates Windows Style End of Lines when it should't) causing the script not to work. This can usually be solved by editing the updater-script with an application such as notepad++ and changing it to Unix Style EOL, and saving the file.

[Q] Interesting Busybox Error

I used the terminal and copy pasted this script just to reproduce the error message:
https://picasaweb.google.com/111880...hkey=Gv1sRgCMPBnLGS14HHTQ#5836287645907959746
Can someone translate that error message to me?
It happened when I tried to update Busybox (Jrummy), looks like all links are broken now with the same error message.
It's not affecting me now but soon I will have to deal with it since Busybox is a lot requested by anything that mess with root..

Nee some HELP

Hy guys. i got myself hands on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 P7500 (Wi-Fi + 3g) and i installed by odin the CWM 4.0.4. but some things won't work...
1. i can't mount the partition form CWM
2.when i do the full wipe it say's it does everything
3. when i select the rom to install it says that assert failed: getprop (''ro.product.device") == p4 || getprop....and ...error in SD card.... STATUS 7
as far as i translate it: i think it doesn't get the correct properties of the tablet..
4. i reboot the tablet and the original ROM is still there...
Any help i can get?

I managed to fix the problem. I installed another ROM and it seams to work.
Just so you know what is happening...
An assert 7 error that quotes a getprop discrepancy is looking at the ro.product.device tag in your current rom's build.prop file as a safeguard to ensure you are not flashing a rom that is incompatible with your device. Any time that value is different from what the script is looking for, the difference will cause an immediate quit of the updater script as it has an assert attached to it.
The rom you flashed either is looking for the device ID you had at the time or simply is not performing the check. Simple as that Enjoy!

[Help] (Status7) error with cm 10.1 builds

Hello, I've seen this is a common problem, however the big problem is I'm the one building the rom (cm 10.1) and for some reason every build can't be flashed and says:
Code:
script aborted (no error message)E
:Error in /...(zip's name)
(Status 7)
Installation aborted
I've built successfully previously on a Virtual Box and then did dual boot on external hdd and downloaded source, set build enviroment, etc... on the dual booted OS but for some reason each build is giving that problem. I even tried to set the device tree almost as the first commit to see if something happens but nothing worked:crying:
Device is samsung galaxy music. Already tried using the new cwm recovery from the out folder but didn't worked

I'm sorry, I think you misunderstood me, I builded cm 10.1 for my galaxy music inside a vbox that flashed successfully on my phone but the perfomance was really slow on the vbox so made instead a dual boot with an external hard drive to take less time doing the builds, but now, all the cm 10.1 builds I make now on the dual booted os gives that error 7 and I don't know why and I already deleted the vbox
i also faced this issue many times, and later i managed to pull the recovery.log and found that zip is corrupted while transferring to sdcard...
so after that i use sideload to install any zip with ease....
Well... after all the problem was in the BoardConfig.mk , so this commit fixed it, thanks for the answers.
So I think this thread can be closed

mke2fs : I/O error while trying to determine filesystem size
After this , the Remix os logo flashing for hours...
Anyone can help ??
Thanks in advance
Fix with chkdsk
You most probably have to reinstall the whole Thing
There is this video in Youtube: Remix OS Error 15
For error 15 , and there is a solution that I tried
"I fixed it!! Just boot into Windows, open cmd as admin and type "chkdsk e: /f" E: means the partition where you installed Remix OS. That worked for me."
By Rosmel Garcia
But if you try it for I/O Error it will reinstall the whole thing again!
I think it is better to install it from Scratch
Good luck!
It's best to backup your Remix install ,then, when you have this issue, you just reinstall Remix and, after install, delete it and replace with the backup. it's what I do anyways. I backup my Remix OS after I get it the way that I want it, then, when e er I make a major change after, or, after an update....
Remix is a very finicky os when it comes to long term use. Ive had to reinstall 4 times now. It really doesnt like system changes or interrupted shutdowns and the like. Sucks because i was using it exclusively for a while then suddenly it wouldnt boot and i lost everything.
