After flashing CM10.1, I have been getting the wakelock suspend_backoff while on wifi. This is after disabling Wifi Optimizations under "Wifi Settings > Advanced"
I know it's from wifi, because it is not present with wifi off or with 4g (only) on. Any suggestions?

This is usually caused by Chrome, and can be fixed by disabling Tilt Scrolling.

I see it occasionally... Haven't figured out what the trigger is. Usually a reboot makes it go away. Not elegant, but it works

I'm pretty sure it's caused by an app not releasing the wakelock. You could try watching what apps are using WiFi data and start disabling them to try to eliminate it... Other than that, not sure how to proceed.

Better battery stats could do it... Or just turn on Wi-Fi data tracking in the data counter built into the ROM.

Just an update; this only happens on my home WiFi, not any other one (I've tested three others). Does that mean anything?

I assigned the phone a static IP on my router, which said it fixed it for other people. Sadly, not for me.
UPDATE: Added the BBS screenshots, and dump file. Please ignore the red hue, I have Twilight installed.

Phone has been awake all the time
As you can see in the graph, your phone has been awake all the time, you might have an open aplication that is using the CPU, i suggest you to see if you can check for that and close the app
Other battery saving tips:
Lower your brightness
Turn off WiFi as well as Bluetooth, and GPS
open up your dialer and input this *#9900# and then disable fast dormancy (Big battery boost!, also fast dormancy is useless so dont worry)
---Don´t forget to hit the thanks button if this helped you
so how about mediaserver?
I don't know what is that .how to close?

I am running stock rom and uprooted.
What Apps have you installed since this started?
Anyone figured it out yet? It's happening to me now, every time I toggle it off, it'll switch itself back on a few minutes later.
I can't for the life of me figure out what's causing it and it's driving me nuts.

I use the stock kernel, just use Omega to have the last "stock" without bloat
Same, I have stock rooted generic UK, have applied the last 3 updates they released ota without factory resets.
I have a suspicion it could be minimalistic text widget or nfc task Launcher, any other people with the problem running them?

OK guys so I see people getting 7-9hrs screentime on 4g and I don't nearly get that. In just 32minutes of use I lost 7%. I'm on 3g no WiFi gps or BT. Here are some screenshots. I tried clean ROM and jellybeanz with Perseus and stock kernels. Any idea? I'd like as much screen time as possible.
Thanks so much

This may sound rediculous but I notice somedays my battery runs down a lot quicker than other days. Doesnt make sense but thats how it seems to me. Are you using the cable that came with the phone and plugging into a wall outlet?
3g eats a lot more battery from what I have seen...LTE and Wifi are the easiest on battery. That being said I still don't think 3g should be causing that much drain...I bet you have a rogue app since the app usage shows 50%

Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
Beans V6 with perseus kernel. Im not sure why your phone is using so much. Maybe someone else knows.
Me either. If someone could please help I'd appreciate it. Shouldn't be so high usage
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
Download better battery stats and grant it super user rights. Let your phone sit for a couple hours (without touching it) and pay your read out from it here. It seems like you have an app going crazy, but just simply looking at your installed apps won't help.

OK just installed it. No idea how to use it though. What shouldbibscreenshot?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
how many hours of screen usage on 4g do you get?
Thanks
Open it to grant super user. Then let your phone sit for at least an hour or two. It's best overnight. Then post your kernel wake lock, partial wake locks and alarms.
Sent from my SCH-I605 (AKA NOTE 2)
You had the phone on for 9hrs and only dropped to 93%? Why r u complaining.? 40 minutes screen time at 93% after 9hrs off charger isn't bad at all. If I'm seeing that right.
thats correct, but while using it for a straight 60mins, it drops over 15%

You aren't the only One that app killed my battery faster than keeping the screen on pretty impressive how an app can manage to drain battery that fast and this is on my home Wi-Fi network. The app is trouble and if it's not draining battery for some people it's definitely not helping their battery either So best to keep it turned off imo.

Mine was doing the same thing even with the app off.. still running WILD with GPS .. climbing. Ended up killing it that way.. going and hitting FORCE STOP under apps, killed all background apps in Dev options.. Funny thing is.. first few weeks with this phone.. It never showed up.. Suddenly it's there and going nutz!!! (It's all fixed for now) lol :good:
This is what mine is doing.. CONSTANTLY. I can watch the GPS usage climb.. and i have location off.
Hi there! I'm having some doubts about the phone, switching between apps forces app refresh, even if I switch only for a couple of seconds. If I was filling up a form and had to check something in another app (let's say a bank app), everything I completed resets itself. If I was using a browser, leave it for a couple of seconds, come back, it refreshes the website (spending data and time). Any way to make it better? A really fast phone but this is bothering me.
Here is a video I recorded to show what I mean.
https://youtu.be/b_wrBgJrS4M
Tried limiting 4 background process as someone suggested me but it didn't change behavior.
The phone is a Leeco Le Max 2, android version MIUI .14
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Or
U may go to the developer settings and make sure u have unchecked this "dont keep activities"
