Is there a guide to get this back to stock? I found a few for other carriers, and even the One X but haven't seen a solid one for ours. Maybe I'm missing it somewhere.
I am wondering the same thing. I've searched quite a bit and did find some references to no RUU being available?

the only thread I really know of on the topic. I might also suggest checking out the cyanogen mod forums on their site and see if anyone posted a working miui camera app. I think that's where the one listed in the thread originated from.

http://www.theandroidsoul.com/fix-for-transformer-prime-update-problems/
it mentions its for people who did stuff before updating. I know alot of people are having issues out of the box, but im curious if this works
cant believe that with all the complaints on here no one is trying this?!
that fix is only for people who had rooted and removed bloatware , it still doesnt help people with unknown serial .

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone knew when the Xperia S is getting android 4.0/whether it was worth putting a custom rom on it, depending on how much time there is.
Thanks,
Storm08
Good grief!
This forum needs a like button
We're not getting it, ever... Its a myth like unicorns
Last time I heard from Motorola that Xperia s will get 4.0 early next.year.

It's already out for quite a while and we're working towards AOSP.
What's AOSP and where can I download it?

AOSP is Android Open Source Project. If you need the source, get it at source.android.com
Cheers
Installed, plays great but I'm getting stuck at the Main gate to the castle, do I give the guards the peas or what? He won't take them, says he doesn't like bookshelves!

I know, but I have some fears with rooting and flashing roms. If I mess up my phone, I don't know if I'd have the money to get a new one for a while.

The only way you could hard brick your phone is if your s off and you mess with your hboot or radios.
The rest can always be fixed.

Thanks for the assurance. I'll have to look into rooting a little more to get a better idea of what to do.

Things to search for (xda or Google)
- HTC dev Site for unlocking bootloader
- hasoon2000's All in one toolkit (for unlocking, flashing recovery)
- ICS RUU for updating firmware. If you are on gingerbread firmware, you will need to update

i was scared at first as well with rooting and it took myself a while to convince my brain to do it. but like mentioned above, you cant break your phone unless you s-off, and once you learn how to flash regularly, you wont have any worries of breaking anything
