Vroot did it for me, though it also installed some weird Chinese superuser. I replaced that with SuperSU and it seemed OK.
BUT... before you root, is there any chance you could please download the ROM for me? I've messed mine up, and it turns out the ROM backup I took was corrupt. :crying:

I just bought a Cubot S108 phone and I`d like to get root privileges on it. I did my research, but the only way I found is rooting it with Vroot. Since it isn`t clear yet, if Vroot is harmful or not, I`d rather use another method.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

Cubot s108, android ver.: 4.2.2, quad core 1.3GHz, kernel ver. 3.4.5, build no. cubot s108_4600K0P2_CQ10_4031C_V005, hardware ver K460_MB_P2V01

I've tried to install Stock ROM and now the phone is dead. Didn't do any back up (I know, dumb) and now I don't know what to do. Maybe you can create a back up of your ROM and send it to me?

Same problem here. Did u find a normal rom?. I need o rom just to make this phone work. Something wrong with uploaded stock rom. :/

No bootloader unlock=no root no recovery.
No matter how urgent, you are stuck with a locked bootloader.
