I want to change settings page background on our canvas hd phone. I have seen this thing on some phone and on one rom too. Is it possible? Please share trick for it or some app so that we can do it. Thanks in advance.

I used do it on my Galaxy Y. You have to decompile framework. I haven't tried it on CHD yet :highfive:

Actually I have read few threads on XDA that we can do that by editing some .png image on framework-res.apk.. But in 4.2.1 things not the same. So I would love to know how can we do it on 4.2.1.

KryptonFroyo v2 Galaxy S Style
Hi friends, this is a 2.2 Froyo rom from Kryptoner.
Thanks wolfbreak, jerplea and other developers for the excellent contribution for x10 community.
Rom is based on CM6
Almost everything is working. If tethering doesn't work, use tethering app from market.
(there are 2 google search widgets out of which one is not working. Use the other one.)

Its similar to Wolf's CM6 rom. Its built from scratch btw. so its not pirated even if anyone thinks so. I already thanked wolf in first post but will thank him again here.

In about phone menu, you will see mod version as GautamPW and Build number as Kryptoner. Actually that's a mistake as my friend GautamPW modified build.prop for me and wrote our names there just for fun.. sorry if thats a bit annoying for anyone
what different between others cm6 rom？only Launcher？

already clarified why this is so.btw, thanks DooMLoRD.
It depends on user experience. Try it, if you like it then keep it as your daily rom, noone is forcing you. I'm just wondering why am I getting so negative response?
Ill try it out in the morning for you and post any bugs I find

Maybe if you work a little on the theme to make it just like Galaxy from Samsung
and port some of Galaxy apps.

I'm trying to port samsung widgets in this one, but I seriously want help from other developer as I am completely new to this. I'm working at my level best to bring touchwiz experience to xperia. hope you all will like it.
Like the idea, this is what you also can do:
- Make/download a Galaxy S theme!
- Change all icons to Galaxy S icons (sms, phone etc)
- Port some more apps, lockscreen, phone etc.
- Change the power widget to a Galaxy S styled one.
Maybe you can find a older ROM from me like something between V1-V4 i think it was, becouse i had Galaxy S Style in older Versions with Apps styled like Galaxy S too.

(I know they explain it on that thread but I was searching in the settings.apk but couldn't find the specific XML )

ive done the same my friends were exited about htc style
got this widget since i saw it a year ago
Also on my transformer and my brothers ace or uncountable friends... This is the best widget I've ever used!

I am using micromax a116.. I want to know if there any mod or tweak, that can be used to change the appearance of notification area.. Its not so attarctive as in samsungz galaxy phones.. So I just want to change its looks.. Please help if somebody knows about it..

go to res/valus/for change high resolution or icon size etc...if you only like to change bg...go to> res/drawable-xxhdpi> and change tw_recent_app_bg with gimp ore so...
