AOKP 4.2.2 MR2 - lose bluetooth call - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi All,
I am wondering if any one is having the same issue or anyway to resolve the issue. I just upgraded to AOKP 4.2.2 MR2. The bluetooth pair process are ok for all my bluetooth devices. I am able to listen to music, movies, and other application that has sound. But I am not able to listen to a conversation on a call but if I put it on the speaker people are talking. I am wondering if this is a known issue or some configurations that I can adjust.
Thanks in advance.
Ti.

4.2.2 problem mate.

[Q] Car Bluetooth Audio Problem

I have a Unlocked Galaxy S 2 running on AT&T. The phone came pre-loaded with 2.3.3. Originally the bluetooth audio feature worked with my car (Suzuki Kizoshi 2010) but I had to go into the running application and force close A2DP bluetooth running. I guess this causes a problem with some car units. Anyway I upgraded the phone to 2.3.4 UHKG7 and now the audio over bluetooth doesn't work. The phone part works as I can make and receive calls. This is very important for me to be able to play the audio over bluetooth as I have a long commute to work and like to listen to my music. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank You.
SOLVED IT!

Awesome!
Thank You so much, that fixed it. I now can hear music through my car. Couple of small issues I've noticed, the music sounds somewhat static. Also when I'm talking to someone over bluetooth my voice seems to eco in the car as this didn't happen before. I am very happy those are just miner issues I can live with, but if you have any suggestions on tweaking the settings to fix this that would be great. Thanks again!
Ok, I'm glad I could help you with this.
I'm still figuring out how this audio codec has to set correctly .....

[Q] Notifications while on Bluetooth

Quick question, I've had a search of the forums and not found anything which answers it. So apologies if there is an answer out there which I have missed!
When my phone is connected to bluetooth, all of my notifications are sent to the car speakers.
This is great when I'm listening to music streamed from the phone. But if I've got the phone connected to bluetooth on the chance of incoming calls, but listening to MP3 or FM, then any incoming SMS messages or emails are notified via the car bluetooth headset.
Is there any way to tell the phone to notify both on the handset AND the car when connected to bluetooth???
Thanks in advance.

What version of Android are you running? Is your phone rooted?
Cheers!

You must remember that CM9 is in alpha and does not have all the functionality you need. Have you tried any other ICS builds to see if the problem exists there?
Right now, the Sammy ICS ROM's such as Resurrection 9.2 are pretty stable. CM9 has been set back by the availability of drivers.
Cheers!
I'm certain it's not a ROM based issue. I know CM9 is Alpha. Previously I was running MoDaCo Custom Rom on GB.
I think it's the way that all audio is sent to Bluetooth. Hence asking if there is a way around it, via a script or app?

Try a stock ROM.
AOSP ROMs use a different bluetooth stack than stock Samsung ROMs. This is also why most bluetooth controller apps didn't work on stock Samsung ROMs until Dancing Pixel updated the SixAxis app (around October, I think?) with a workaround.
Edit to add: or a stock BASED ROM. If you like AOSP look and feel, with some essential stock bits, check out GingerMod.
Thanks for the reply.
I think it's an inherent issue with all handsets and ROMs. I have a friend using stock, and he still has the same issue.
I guess my post was to understand if there was any way around it (via a hack or app). For instance, my Blackberry alerts on the device itself, but calls and music go through the car headset.

[Q] Call sound output issue Bluetooth on Galaxy S3 on CM10.1 4.2.2.

Hi Folks
Hope someone has an advice or opinion for a problem i have and did not find a solution searching through the forums. The 4.2.2 Bluetooth sound quality is no issue and also no distractions when using with my Parrot Asteroid in my car.
My problem is that when I am finished driving and have an active conversation running and I switch back to device speaker (internal or external does not matter!!!), the sound never comes back to the speakers but the microphone is switching properly to the device's mike iso the BT system. If I switch back to Bluetooth I get the sound back to the speakers of the car.
Same symptom on all the 3 4.2 ROMs I loaded so far (currently running on Dragon's Fusion ROM).
Thanks for any help!
I have exactly the same problem and by far no solution.

[Q] P768(VN) JB V20A - Bluetooth problem

Hi people,
My P768 is very smooth & fast after JB upgrade but it gives me 2 major problems for me after that upgrade as well:
1. Bluetooth: My music player stop output to bluetooth headset after picking up the phone call. Did check Bluetooth connection both: Phone audio and Media audio are still connected but the sound only go to phone speaker. Did try to stop/ start bluetooth but now works. The problem only go away when I restart the phone.
Anyone has same issue?
2. My phone used to working fine with Call Recorder Pro in ICS with audio resource is Voice Call - means it can record all phone call (2 ways recording) even when using Bluetooth headset but not in JB. I did try different app but all of them can only record thru Microphone, it is not good at all!
So is there any good app can work with JB?
My P768(VN) is rooted anyway, JB V20A!
Thanks for your reading!
I too have run into issue one. I'm using a T-mobile P769 running V20F. It is not rooted
When playing music over bluetooth, if I get a call then the music pauses and the call audio comes through just fine. When I go back to start the music after the call, I get nothing but silence. It appears to be playing but no sounds comes out.
If I stop the music and re-pair the bluetooth it then works fine until I pause the music again.
If I reboot the phone, everything works fine until I get another call over bluetooth.
This has been happening ever since the upgrade to Jelly Bean. ICS worked just fine.
Any ideas?

No sound after using VoIP softwares

Hello guys,
I've been having this issue for a while now, whenever I use (or even open) a VoIP software (Skype, Viber, Textfree etc.), my headphones stop working and I can't hear anything through them if I play any video or audio. Weirdly, my headphones work when I make calls through those softwares but even after I quit them, I cannot get sound through my headphones until I restart the phone. Speakers work fine in any case.
I noticed it first on Cyanogenmod 4.2.2 but it has persisted through Liquidsmooth 4.3.1 and CarbonROM 4.3.1. I would appreciate any help on how to fix this annoying issue.
Thanks,
