Everything is working except for my phone. I get 1x data, but the phone number won't show up, I can't dial out without getting a "your account doesn't have this feature" recording.
The MEID comes up correct, but I can't do ##786# or any PRL updates.
I didn't see anything in the FAQ's, but I'm assuming this is because it's not based off of a stock sprint rom. How can I do the PRL/Provisioning?

In addition, if that doesn't work for you, try to make a phone call once you've flashed a Sense ROM. Sprint may have to re-provision your service, at which point you'd be good to go.

Yep. One thing I neglected to mention is that I updated the radio firmware after I went S-off before I loaded the new rom. I was still using Freshmod previously and everything was working great. Since Fresh isn't in development anymore I figured it was time for some upgrades.
Now I can't load a stock rom on to it. Every time I try to install a rom through twrp it reboots about 10-15 seconds into the load, when I get back into TWRP /sdcard is corrupt and has to be reformatted before it's recognized again.
Already did a factory reset/wipe in TWRP 2.6.0.0.... Is this an issue where TWRP has to be downgraded?

Shouldn't be. Boot to recovery and mount your internal storage to your computer. You should get the option to format it. The file system type is FAT32. Should be good to go afterwards. The issue seems to be related to swapping back and forth between Sense and AOSP, but I personally have never had the problem.

I had to do an advanced wipe in TWRP and wipe everything, format the internal SD, found a small (350 meg) sense rom (UR/EVO), that loaded this time. I was able to go in and activate the phone and do an activation and PRL update.
Going to try and reload Rootbox now... Wish me luck.

I've asked for help in the threads posted about the OTA update and I cannot get the help I need. I've seen people post similar questions that I have and they are largely ignored. I had to stay away from the forums because I was getting so damn angry.
I have root and I have S-Off. I have not flashed any ROMs on this phone. I want to apply the OTA update but I do not know how to do that.
There's mentions of flashing firmware, radios, PRIs, PRLs, ROMs, Deoxed, Oxeded, hboot, bootloader, recovery, TWRP, etc. All of that across multiple threads does not compute well in my head.
I've read a lot and I am not sure what to do. Can someone please help me out? I will be forever grateful. I could send you a case for your phone for helping me. I promise I am not being lazy. I'm just not getting it.
If you're rooted and you have S-Off, you should have TWRP. First verify that by booting into the bootloader (Power + Vol Down) and going to Recovery.
Once in TWRP, do a backup. Backup everything. This way if something goes wrong you can restore your previous ROM.
Next download this: http://d-h.st/d2a
It's the firmware zip, courtesy of Haus. Rename the file to remove all of the stuff after PJ85IMG. Then put it on the root of your SD card and boot into the bootloader. It will scan for a zip and find it, and ask you if you want to update. This step is optional; you can flash new 1.22 ROMs without the new firmware.
After flashing that through bootloader, you can choose a 1.22 ROM that looks good to you, and download it. Boot back into TWRP, do a factory reset and wipe System, and then install the ROM. If you download it to your external SD card (in other words, an SD card you put in yourself), you'll have to mount it by going to Mounts and choosing external SD. That way you'll be able to access files on it.
To install the ROM after wiping, just hit Install from the main menu of TWRP and navigate to the location of the ROM zip you downloaded. Install it and reboot, and there you have it, you're on the new firmware and using a ROM with the new fixes in it!
The firmware zip is optional, but recommended. If you aren't comfortable flashing it, don't bother.

I would personally recommend staying away from that method. As a rooted user you should never accept an ota. Doing it that way might work this time, but in the future there's no guarantee you won't lose s-off and never be able to get it again

I know "never OTA" is your and some other people's mantra, but being able to do this is one of the benefits of S-off. I agree it is possible they could turn you back to S-ON in a future OTA (maybe...), but since it works for this current update, I don't think you should be dissuaded if you don't want to completely wipe your phone.

My man.
Exactly.
Just look at all of the people who show up on here going "Oh crap I took the OTA and now I can't get S-OFF"! The fact of the matter is, people don't check here before taking the OTA. If they look here and see that thread that says to just put on teh stock recovery and you're A-OK, thats what they'll do from then on.
When it happens, I'm just going to sit back and say "toldya so"... and let everyone else deal with the support. Until then, I'm going to keep preaching that you should never take an OTA if you are rooted or EVER thinking about rooting.
Sora, I looked at your instructions. I flashed ROMs before on my EVO 4G. That process I was comfortable with. Basically, the developer did all the work for me. I wanted to keep my phone stock for a while but I do want the updates.

Ok, so I will have to flash a ROM. Do you think I can flash the deodexed version of this [ROM][STOCK] --- Stock Rooted 1.22.651.3 Odexed & DeOdexed (7/14/12)--- over my stock-from-Sprint setup?
I flashed TWRP. I'm going to update the firmware next with the file you pointed me to. I'm trying to find the info on clearing Google wallet.
...then the ROM.
Clearing GW data should say something about resetting it. It'll be in the app settings.

There is only one superwipe for our phone. There is nothing to compare it to, and no need as it works fine. The link you posted has nothing to do with our device.

I've never understood super wipes. I just do it manually.
No need for a superwipe. Just Factory Reset and wipe System and you're ready to flash. That's never once given me a problem.
I use superwipe mod all the time after a manual wipe. Reason because TWRP does not have option to wipe/format the BOOT partition.

Install any aosp rom, example deck cm10 8-31-12. The Rom have force close issue with the phone process at the beginning. Now if you want to go back to latest sense Rom, without wiping boot img, you will continue to have the same phone process force close issue even if you're on sense Rom. It just happen to me a couple nights ago. So wiping boot partition is my way of completely getting rid of previous issue on the last install Rom.

I was doing something wrong at the time, I forgot to flash the superwipe. When I first booted into meanrom 3.6 the same phone process force close still there. After realizing I forgot to flash superwipe, went back to recovery, wipe completely manually follow by superwipe then install meanrom 3.6, which booted fine without phone process error. Every time I flash a New Rom I always wipe everything at least twice.

I think a lot of people got used to using these from the og evo. CWM was thought to have trouble wiping so most would wipe two or three times to make sure it didn't miss anything. I haven't heard of that being an issue for a long, long time though.
One thing that it may help with though is if the ROM doesn't format the system partition. I've spent hours trying to track down bugs only to realize leftover system files were wreaking havoc with the new ROM.

My phone is a HTC Thunderbolt and when I attempted to root the phone it had a hboot version of 1.0.8 and had a stock version of ICS installed.

I have tried clearing everything but still doesn't seem to work.
One thing I forgot to mention is sometimes if I wait long enough on the blank screen It boots me back into the 4ext recovery, don't know if that makes much of a difference.
The way I have been installing the rom
Load ROM onto the SD
Do a "wipe data/factory reset"
Go into install sd and choose the Rom which is in a .zip file
I think this is how its supposed to be done, but not sure.

Did you create a backup before you flashed the ROM? You could restore to that. You also could either flash a stock ROM (search the forums) or RUU. Good luck.
The Sprint store gave me a copy of the RUU and a new ROM but i cant get the boot loader to find it. do i need to change the file names?
I am not sure, I have never RUU'ed before. Sorry.
You have to go to the bootloader on the phone and connect it to the pc then on the pc u run the ruu and it will restore u back to stock

Here ya go man, go here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2045935 download the rom.zip (its the stock rooted 3.16) put it on your sd card.
go to recovery,
go to the wipe menu,
wipe data factory reset,
wipe cache ,
wipe dalvic,
wipe system,
go to install and choose the rom from the menu and flash away. when its finished just reboot your device and youll have a stock phone just like from the store,,,,,,but rooted
hope this helped

Extracted both into folders.
Ran Venom Kernal Flasher
Browsed to Boot.img and flashed.
Phone rebooted... stays on HTC "Teamwin" white screen.....

Ok, now try a wipe and install the viper rom.
I Dont think any ROM is gonna be what you need. If you have data call failure it's gonna be a provisioning issue and you will probably need to walk thru some epst codes with a sprint tech. Do not extract ROM. Get a fairly stock ROM to boot. If S-on will need to fastboot flash boot.IMG after flashing ROM. Once up and booted, try a different sprint tech. As long as you get a ROM with epst (pretty much any sense ROM), it doesn't matter if you have root, they'll be able to help. Maybe just don't mention you have root.

Micro Maniac
When you clicked on the exe file it automaticly loads the img file, You dont have to look for one. You need to just use the file that loads automatic.

I think we need to get him running before Sprint is going to help him. He is stuck in a boot loop.

I do not get a "Drive" via USB to copy anything over to the phone so I can only run the Venom Flash via command prompt using FASTBOOT USB...
