why any rom built for NovaThor cpu has an exaggerated consumption of ram compared to other phones with different cpu?

I read somewhere that culprit is Mali400 GPU which is quite RAM hungry.
Sent from my Xperia U using xda premium
I have read that our GPU is Single Core and also Downclocked!
Really disappointed ...
The GPU will definitely use some of the phone's RAM but as I understand it, the 380MB you're seeing is with that RAM already allocated, i.e. the phone actually has 512MB of RAM but is showing less as the GPU has ~128MB allocated to it.
why to compare like Xperia P to a Neo V with ram hungry etc? the 1st thing is neo v have a single core and anothor chip and an XP have a dualcore with also another chip like novathor. so sorry but this is not a usefull thread, just my meaning

I was reading that nova Thor with Mali allocate more RAM for a better graphical experience . 3d videos images and more . that sucks . you make me feel better about my neo v and worse part st Ericsson is going through managerial changes. So hopefully they will have later libs and sources when new management takes office

Linux usually caches alot of data, like Prefetch on your computer
I thought ICS would have a better RAM management... like in my Galaxy Note (running ICS 4.0.3), those APPs or programs I'm not using or opened are not automatically running in the background... unlike now, even I forced them to close, they will still keep running and consumed memory...

Try installing MIUI roms. It shows 1GB ram but 800mb full almost all the time. Yeah it sucks but it largely has to do with the processor. I think HTC One series in the US has the same issue as S4 eats some of the 1GB ram.

Go for Nexus 4 bro, great phone.
Meizu MX 4 core is the only 4 inch quad core in market.. Others start from 4.7-6 inches
My opinion - go and buy a big screen device.. Trust me you wil fall in love.. Later you will realise WTF was I doing with a small screen!!..my XP is so small compared to my S3.. I love my S3's display... Get a device with in 4.3-4.7 its not that big as u r thinking...this is the big screen era. Don't fall behind line Apple..

You have noticed right that Xperia U, Sola, Go is slow at times, and you might wonder why it's like this. It has come to conclusion that this issue is related to our phones internal memory (NAND) and the issue is that it's slow and unreliable.
The Sony Xperia U, Go and Sola uses the same NAND memory, the sdin5c2 and is made by Sandisk, here is a datasheet of the NAND:
http://omapworld.com/iNAND_e_MMC_4_41_IF_data_sheet_v1_0[1].pdf
I have done some benchmarking of the NAND memory now, and my theory of it being slow seems correct, especially when it comes to the random write and read speed, which needs to be good for the device to operate in a good way,
Here is some of my benchmark results:
Xperia U

Nexus 7 (Comparisment to see what's normal):
Seem's like Sony have been chosing a cheap and unreliable NAND memory, as these benchmark results really shows how bad it is. Also the slowdown of the phone while downloading apps and such shows it also.
Heres my task for all Xperia U, Sola and Go users, go to the Play Store and download the app called AndroBench and do a full benchmark, then post a screenshot of the result here so I can get a wider amount of tests so that we can see if it's just my NAND or everyones. Also post which device you use and what rom you use, as that might be useful.
