[Answer] DroidWall - solved issue with Play Store on Android 4.3 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I use DroidWall in white list mode on my rooted phone.
After upgrading from Android 4.2.2 to 4.3 (reroot by flashing SuperSU 1.51 zip) the Google Play Store couldn't connect to the internet.
I opened DroidWall app, I saw "Google Play Store" still had the permission to connect, I saw three new google apps:
"Google Keyboard", "Dialer", "Google Hindi Input".
If you want "Google Play Store" to work properly, you have to give connection rights to "Google Keyboard" in the DroidWall configuration.
Do that, and it will work again.
I just wonder what's the deal between play store and keyboard
PS: play storie stopped working again, so I reconfigured droidwall in blacklist mode and the problem seems solved for real now. In white list mode there is something that needs to be enabled but it seems not to be there in the list.

[Q] play store dont show my installed app saying not installed by play store

Hi there, seems i got a quite strange problem here.
I'm on a CM10.1 nightly rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2099499) and today I accidentally discoverd that the play store dont display my installed app any more, which was fine last week(i did an update of some apps that time, not related to play store services), like the screenshot showed only two buttons left there. And I tried unstalled and reinstalled one of the app(gps test), and it told me that "this app was not installed by google play store". After the reinstallation the app showed up in the "installed app" section this time.
I check all my apps in the phone with "pm list -3 -i" to see if the installer is wrong(i installed all my 3rd party apps with airdroid last time i flashed the rom, and the apks, which were downloaded from play, were pulled from the phone itself). i found out that the values of installer attribute of apps i update last week were "com.android.vending"(for instance greenify), while others wre just "null". But the strange thing is that neither of them showed up in the "installed app" section.
I guess this has something to do with google's recent policy change for not allowing non-play-installed app to be updated through play store. But i just wonder what exactly happened to my device and if there is a solution to it without reinstalling every app. Thank you very much!
EDIT: the web version of google play don't show my apps, either.

Yep - no modifications of any kind, no root access. Still, after updating to 4.0.2, Play Services started crashing incessantly

Hm, Google Keyboard didn't crash for me. Maybe try clearing settings for that one as well?
To get Play Store to connect and re-download Google Play, I had to re-enter my Google account password. The tablet prompted me to enter my details after a few reboots, but you could probably add your account manually using "Accounts" in the settings app as well.

Play store - No internet connection...Retry

GT-P7510 4.04 rooted.
Play Store 8.08.76.R-all
When accessing some apps pages..I get the message "No internet connection...Retry...please connect wi-fi etc.
Mostly it works installing the majority of the apps...but for I get that error. The same apps. It's not random...in the way that a app can thorw that error and some time the page loads.
I know win programming/debugging but I have ~0 experience with android.
I have this logs when I try to enter some apps page and get that error:

'Google play services updating'?

I recently got a black shark 3 pro CN version from Giztop (2 days ago). Device is great and I absolutely love it. However I noticed an issue whilst using Google maps or any app that requires maps access. In Google maps, my location never gets pinpointed as nothing happens when I ask the app to access my location. Similarly, an app requiring Google maps service to work functions. I get an error saying 'google play services updating'.
Another issue I've noticed is if I use the Google play games app to launch a game, nothing happens. Which led me to the conclusion that my Google play services are not installed properly. And yes I've given permissions to all Google apps.
I've tried deleting my gapps and re-installing them using Google installer but that still hasn't fixed the issue. Please help me solve this issue, thank you.

Edit: I have solved the problem, using the steps in this link:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/comments/dkdwie/guide_how_to_fix_gps_and_notification_issues_for/
Now Google maps and Google pay + Google play games have started responding normally!
This is not the solution.
The solution is enable all permissions and autostart in all google services and also permit no restrictions in miui battery optimization.
And the last and most important stage, Enter Locations by clicking long press on the button in the status bar, enter app permissions, choose "google play services" and click "always allow".
Thats it, you don't need to touch the supl server.
There is only one problem I found out. The Google services framework service "No restrictions" always return to "Miui battery saver" after restart and need to set it again. That make the compass on google maps to not work properly if you leave it in battery saver mode.
Hope it will help.
I'm having the same issue (Google services are updating) and did everything all Google apps & services have full permissions and still not solved.
Anyone know how to fix it.

Google Services

So i've tried so many means of making this work but i'm here as a last resort. Ive got a couple of old tablets running android 5.0 ( Lollipop ) and they were custom made and distributed by a company called Five Cubits. Ive tried to contact the company to see maybe if they had a software update or system update so I could install google play services on it but I think its gone bankrupt I've left voicemails but no response. I've tried to install google play services on this tablet with root access and its saying google play services has stopped working on a loop, I've tried going back to install older versions to no avail. The device model is MDT7P2-01. My question would be to anyone who sees this post, is there anyway I could install google play services to have it work on the tablet and or if I could get android 5.1 update on it or maybe android 6.0. All help is greatly appreciated thanks.
@zoblod
Never heard of a crash report like "Google Service has stopped working" but of "Google Play Services has stopped working". Did you mean the latter?
FYI:
At the time you won’t get Google Play Store to install apps and if you download any app from an unknown source, then it will crash and display a message “Google Play services stopped working”.
Google Play Services autoupdates by default.
@jwoegerbauer
