Does anyone else experience low fps or fps dips when playing this game?

I was experiencing this on the new update that came out yesterday. Prior to that no major issues except the occasional times when nothing on the scanner or inventory would load. But that was universal, had nothing to do with the One.

I've noticed that the YouTube app on this device has some pretty bad lag so far. Like slightly worse even than my POS Samsung Moment. Scrolling while videos are playing cause really bad stutters and slowdowns. YouTube works fantastically in the browser but the standalone app seems lacking.

Really ? No problems here I prefer it over my iPhone YouTube app
If you don't have an Evo3d well you don't have an Evo3d
It's only ever bad for me when scrolling between comments and such during the video, and it's really not too bad, but it is the one instance where I feel the phone is a bit slower than it should be.

So far it has been awesome. Maybe your over analysing.

I probably am over analyzing it, and the slowdown I see is probably just a compatibility issue that I'm sure will get resolved. Regardless, here's a video showing the slowdown I'm referring to.

This thing always stops playing video. This version and the latest version from the market. I will just stop with "An error has occurred touch he to restart" or something like that. Pisses me off to no avail!
I used to have that same problem, mostly just over 3g though. I know some people can't get it to play over wifi or 4g. Yoboii23's post about retrieving msl to speed up internet fixed the problem I had.

Used to not have a problem with it and would run smoothly with my airwave..last few days its been lagging during playback and buffering..I have to update my prl for it to run smooth again..I feel like I'm updating my prl everyday..I'm trying to get another phone bit I've exchanged my 3d twice already and don't know if they will do it again..I swear my store.got a bad bunch..I love the phone besides some of the network issues I've been having
My problems for the app would be that it only works sometimes & only on 4G & not on 3G or WiFi . Which is weird because it used to work before like a week ago .

After the OTA update, my photon has generally been performing very well. I had the silent call/no audio issue before, but they seem to have gone away completely since the update. I only experience the "random" reboot issue when I am using music/audio applications such as Pandora and Google music.
Also, if I am listening to music using Pandora and I turn the phone from portrait to landscape (and vice versa), the audio pauses/stutters with each rotation. If I do this enough, I can usually get the phone to lock up and reboot eventually.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues?
I was having hanging issues with Pandora have you got the update That came out today it has been fine since I downloaded that

Are you talking about the MR5 update that came out earlier in the week? I have downloaded that and am still experiencing the issue
No there was a Pandora update that came out yesterday from the market also make sure your phone is set to automatic for the network settings and on high performance for battery settings or it can do weird stuff

I notice the phone stutters in pretty much everything I do outside of the music app. If I start messing with settings while it's playing it stutters over and over. I also notice that the music player and music widget don't play well with each other. I can be playing music in the app and on my homescreen the widget doesn't even show what I am playing and just sits blank. I am really starting to see some bugs with the software on this phone.

Thanks. The update seems to have fixed the stuttering issue for me. I'll see if I get any more lockups/freezes over the next few days
I spoke too soon. After about 10 minutes on pandora, the stuttering came back. I wonder if this is an android issue or a photon specific problem

Yea I see this stuttering too.. used to happen on my Evo OG when I was using bluetooth stereo headphones and came into a building where my wifi knew the password. After the first update on that phone it was fixed.
I notice if I disable wifi it fixes the stuttering issue on the photon as well... but on the photon it happens whenever my wifi finds something in range, even if the phone doesn't have a connection to the wifi. After a while it seems to stop, like the hardware requests more resources and settles it.. but it is still quite annoying.
You can also get root explorer and change it in the build.prop

Definitely considering trading my Photon in for the Epic 4G Touch when it comes out on the 19th. Not only do I get the reboots while streaming but I also get the stuttering as you have mentioned...doesn't matter what the signal level is. Sometimes Last FM and Pandora will not play at all on this phone.

So, most of us have had our OGs go a little crazy responsiveness wise while plugged in and I've figured out that it's from the heat from our phones... Whyyyyy in the heck does the heat from the battery cause random presses on my phone? That's so dumb.... But, I know it's the source now because now that i've dropped my phone and have to get it replaced it has been getting super hot, and the spots where it gets hot will actually press buttons on its own. It's pretty weird because i can't use those parts of the screen anymore, it just won't respond to touch anymore but when the phone starts getting warm it'll do all sorts of stuff on it's own. Do you think it has to do with LG's "zero-gap" screen?
Yes.
The screen is super sensitive. It may be the biggest issue sadly.

Unfortunately, today, after no heating issues, my phone has developed a thin horizontal strip of screen that does not respond to touch. The issue seems to have materialized out of nowhere. No drops, no heat.
The strip is about an inch up from the bottom of the phone.
Luckily, the strip is thin and does not adversely affect my user experience enough to be a hindrance. Although, the fact in itself is bothersome. Hopefully, this will not spread out more throughout the rest of the phone.
FWIW, the strip is right across the Google search widget.

That sounds like the issue I have although mine only occurs on the home screen. I can't press any of the bottom icons unless I move higher. It works fine everywhere else.

This phone definitely has some quirks to it, but it really is the best phone i've ever had. It's the smoothest and fastest i've ever had, if it does start to bother you or gets worse, i'd take it to AT&T and just get a new one, not like you did something to make it happen so why not take a replacement?

I agree wholeheartedly.
I'm not with AT&T so I got my phone on ebay. I've read that LG will fix it with a proof of purchase, though. Gotta search the threads and possibly contact LG. As of right now it's not a major problem.

My issue isn't affected by charging, though. I'm charging now and no issues other than that one strip. And that is there regardless if it's plugged in or not. That's also the only area affected. No lag, stutter, slowness.

Yeah, that is a common issue with all Android devices. I've read that it is a voltage issue with the USB cable, charger or outlet. If it's happening, try a different cable or outlet. That usually solves my issue. I had the same issue on my SGS3, my old HTC Inspire, and my wife's Pantech Burst... But it was by far the worst on my Motorola Photon. Random touches would happen while the phone was plugged in and it became unusable while charging.

My OG doesn't get hot at all, at least it hasn't happened yet. But I do get occasional scrolling issue, it would go from scrolling the entire page buttery smooth to crawling 2-3 lines at a time, and instead of scrolling the page, it'd open the app where my finger started to scroll. Turn the screen on/off usually fix the problem, but it gets annoying after awhile. I thought it was quick memo causing it, that was the first time I noticed it but then it started to happen randomly when the phone is on charge, I don't think I've seen it happen on battery though. So maybe it is related to charge/voltage issue.

Mine by no means got hot, until it was broken, but it did get a little warm just like any handheld device does after some use. Seriously though, if Sprint did get an update to fix it, then i think AT&T needs to step their game up..
I'm taking back my second HTC one due to an issue of light bleed after just getting it. the first one had serious build issues and i'm already kind of expecting to see some major issue with the next one just from my luck. But this is really becoming a time-consuming hassle. Is this normal for everyone else or am I just super unlucky?.....

Just got the HTC m8 2 weeks ago. I play games on it. Especially golfstar. When I first got the phone it worked great. Barely any kind of lag or stutter. Yesterday though when I went to play, it stutters like crazy now playing it. Reboot the phone. Same thing. Downloaded angry birds and that too once in awhile stutters. Just wondering if any others see stuttering playing any games on this phone?

Annoying question I know, but just to be sure, is power saver on/off?
Power saver is off. I don't really have many apps and stuff on this phone cause I wanted to make sure it's what I wanted during the 2 week try. Now I'm a day past the 2 week and this happens now. It's unacceptable to me cause the hardware in this phone should do anything I throw at it without really a hiccup. I'm probably going to exchange the device but I just wanted to make sure others aren't having this issue. I'm coming from a note 2 and even that phone didn't stutter this bad.

So I did a factory reset and all seems to be working fine again. But it took couple weeks last time when it started to act up. Hope it doesn't do it again.
