WTB: Broken G-TAB OR Touch screen and speakers - G Tablet Accessories

I am trying to fix my daughter's GTAB (inherited from me).
If anyone wants to part out a GTAB - I really need the touch screen and the speakers (nothing's fun without sound, apparently).

I have one GTablet to be used for parts. It seems to have only problem with the mainboard. I sell it cheap.

Do you still have the battery? (BT-A0B2)
I would be interested the battery.

Not sure if still valid, but I have a Gtab that I will part with. Works outside of the fact that it does not charge.

Need Touch pad
If you have a working touch screen I'm interested. My gTab touch screen is not working.

Touch screen not working

I put a skinomi skin protector on and after that touch screen stopped working. I took it off and screen is still not working.
I got it to work by doing

Well, hard reset may help you fix this ASUS Transformer Prime touchscreen not responding issue: 1. Unplug the power cord and shut the unit off and Press and Hold the power button and the "Down" volume button together for 6-10 seconds and let them both go. 2. Wait a few more seconds until the term "Cold Boot" appears in the list near the top of the screens and just press and release the "Down" volume button again and let it reboot. If you own the dock be sure and do this with the dock connected.
Nevermind its not working again

sounds like you've been remoted.
Maybe you spayed too much application solution that got inside tablet? dip it in a bag of rice may help..
This is funny.. play by play of what is happening
Hard reset and wait.
I went into my email and it started deleting emails
That's a wet screen protector, right? Definitely sounds like water damage. Same thing happened to me with the original Droid phone. Power it off, put it in a bowl of rice over night, and cross your fingers.

wasn't the Prime's gorilla glass enough protection eliminating the need for a screen protector in the first place?
it doesnt look like there is any holes on it to get into

Edges around the screen?
I had a problem with my screen that was bad enough to cause me to return it. It was amazing in every other way, but the screen problem was a deal breaker. I'm gonna give it some time before I try again.

now I noticed you were using a stylus pen in that video. Did this problem also occur when you used your finger?

Touchpoint works "mirrored"

Basically - if I am touching the screen on the left the TF201 reacts on the right, exactly the opposite side of the screen. I have reset the device, no luck. Googling for recalibration didn't help me to succeed either. When working with the pad on the dock, everything is fine, it the touchpoint which is not working ... Does anybody have an idea?

Did you buy the prime new? It sounds to me like you have bought a second hand one and they had replaced the screen with one from china which has the axis reversed. If you then had flashed a new rom you would have lost the edited kernel to make it go back the right way.
I have never heard of a screen reversing axis otherwise.
Any way you could post a video of this?
It happens when you replacing glass digitizer of the tablet with wrong version of digitizer(I have same problem)
Search here on forum fix inverted x-axis, also you will need to be unlocked, and rooted.

My transformer prime is unrooted. It just started haveing a black screen with the LCD not working all of a sudden. I charges and vibrates when you try to power on. The hdmi still displays the screen on tv. I sent it off to asus to get fixed and the wanted $250 for a new lcd. So i decided to replace the lcd my self. it was pretty easy to do, however there still is a black screen after replacing the lcd. Does anyone have any other suggestions to get this fixed?

2.5 yrs later....
My toddler uses my Prime now and the exact same thing just happened.
I cracked it open and there's one cable which attaches from the lcd to the motherboard was loose on the motherboard cause I noticed, even though have some "tape" there, the cable doesn't actually snap into anything. I loosened their tape, and gave the cable a good shove in and voila everything worked again. I put some new electrical tape to hold it in place.

[Q] Need Help with screen

So it looks like a small part of the top of my screen is dead, already tried everything and no luck, The draw line test shows about a 10% of the screen not working. I think this might be a hardware problem, but not sure.
If its the hardware, is it possible to only replace the Digitizer glass, without replacing the LCD screen?
Where can I buy the part (hopefully Original, I read that third party replacements are usually disappointing, because of quality.)? I tried searching in ebay and amazon and was only able to find for the HTC one X not the plus version.
Is it too hard to replace or i'm better saving for a new phone?
Do you mean the area where the status bar is? My HOX+ also doesn't recognize touches there. It happened suddenly 5 months ago when I was playing games . However, I used to it and it is not a big problem, I will give it to repair when I get on vacation .
I already made some researches on the internet and it is not an uncommon problem for touch screens. Yes, it is the digitizer's fault.

Exactly the same problem, upper part of the screen (all notification bar). I have an OCD and this tiny things bug me a lot. I guess now I need to find a digitizer to replace it, the problem is that on ebay and other sites there are not HOX+ available, all are for the HOX.
Is there any difference between HOX and HOX+ digitizers? I thought both got the same screen.
I'm not an expert so I won't fix it on my own, better send it back to service .
Btw. I've read one time that you can put a piece of paper between the bezel and grill to clean some mess up which could get inside the phone. I was wondered that I was able to slip the paper there, but it didn't work .

yes it will work, but you can't only change the digitizer, it's too hard glued together. I broke my LCD connector while replacing the screen although
I was really careful, so it's not as easy as everyone says.
Thx, i will keep that in mind.

Hi Nidhal
I have replaced whole screen with frame, but it seems to be used one (ordered from Aliexpress). It might be the case, I have two complete screens with same issue on my desk, but I dont know how to test them

you have to test each of them separately
take out the mainboard from the old chasis (frame) to test on the new lcd you bought (carefully unplug all the connectors)
then, connect the lcd and digitizer connectors to the mainboard, connect the battery too, and of course the power flex cable should be connected.. power on the phone, and see if the display lit up, then if the touchscreen works... and do the same with the second one you have and i hope you will have a working one al least
watch this video tutorial to avoid any damage
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrOQoOSbldU&t=1s
and BTW, never buy these type of parts from aliexpress! would've been better from ebay or amazon because you'll be covered with warranty in case the part you buy is defected, and for that, you'll get a full refund or ebay will refund you if the seller won't
good luck
