Recently bought Micromax A116 and been using it from past 2 weeks. I'm facing a weird issue.
I listen to music a lot and using Poweramp music player. No issues with the quality of sound. Problem arises when I receive a call while listening to music. After answering the call when the player resumes, I get mono output from the headset. Even after adjusting sound settings of player and the phone, it still plays in mono. The only option is restart the phone and then it's normal.
Is anyone facing similar problem? Is it issue with the app software or phone software? How to resolve?
Please help.
Thanks in advance,
Sarath.
I am not sure what the issue is... But try enabling audio enhancer option in the user profiles...

if you are facing this problem due to poweramp you may try any other player or might be Sony Walkman...

Simple Way
Step 1: type *#*#3646633#*#* on dialpad
Step 2: Swipe in to hardware testing
Step 3: Click on Audio
Step 4: Check the volume settings
if all are OK
then there might be some hardware issue.

Hi,
I noticed, that whenever I playback a sound (music, video, ...) there is a constant buzzing that keeps on after the sound playback stopped for about 1-2 seconds. Do you have this problem as well? It's kinda annoying me.
If I remeber correctly I had the same problem with one of my previous devices, but I can't remember which device it was and if or how I fixed it

Issue here aswell. From day 1 of purchase. Not a massive issue though as it's not there during music playback. Only after.
Are you using headphones or the internal speaker?

try and see if turning off clear audio and the other sound enhancements helps
I already try to turn off the clear audio and other sound enhancement, but still got the buzzing noise....
I had this problem with my C6806, sometimes it's gone after I changed few setting on audio effect, but still, it will come back. The problem persist after couple firmware update, so I think it's hardware problem.
I just got a new C6833 couple days ago, it's dead silent , no problem.
I think it's just randomly effecting some of batch.
same problem of static noise from speaker especially with battery below 50%, I think it's a software problem.
Hi Everyone,
I wish that I am posting it in right forums. If not, Please move it to suitable Forums.
I had this problem from the day I bought L9. That is, I faced this problem in Stock ROM, and now I am facing it on CM ROM too.
But, after Googling this problem, I think that this seems to be a very critical problem with all LG Optimus L9 Users, as all the given below Threads actually point to the same problem:
Audio problem headphones
Problem with music listening
Issue with music player
May be these people were not able to explain the problem very well, so I am posting it again. I wish that I would explain at my best.
Problem?
We know that there is a Safe Volume Level in our Android, and it gives some sort of warning like Raise Volume above Safe Level? This may cause hearing problem! Blah Blah!, when we try to increase the volume to Max Level.
When I try to increase the volume to Max level, and suddenly when very High Beats(you know what I mean) come in the music of the song, the Music Player pauses. The Connection of the earphone gets detached from the phone, and it plays the Song in Loudspeaker of phone, when I Resume the song.
So, I have to unplug the Earphone and Plug it again to Listen to it.
This Problem happens with:
My LG Earphones
Other small earphones
My Car Music Player when using an AUX Cable
Music Player at my Gym
This Problem does not happens with:
Steelseries Siberia Headphones
Its so strange to me that the problem is with all earphones, but not with this Gaming Headphone which I have. I just increase the Volume to Max level and it keeps playing it and the beats are awesome with this headphone.
Is the problem related to L9's Hardware? Or there is something with the Output of Audio? I don't know! I am a Noob with this!
So, I request for help as I am, and maybe some other people too, are sick of this problem. PLEASE HELP!
Thank You
Best Regards
no prob with me
I am using skullcandy headphones

It happens with any song, at maximum volume.
Is it something related to Output of Audio? Maybe it does not give problem with Good Heaphones like your SkullCandy and my gaming headphone of SteelSeries.
Maybe these headphones are able to process very High level sound? Or something else? There must be some solution!
Thanks for your reply!

Although, I can see 90% change with Viper4Android, but still at some extent, when I tried to increase the volume to Max, the music is getting stopped in some high beats song.
FYI, currently I have enabled these settings in Headset settings menu of Viper4Android:
In Master Power, V4A FX is Enabled
In Fidelity control, Viper BASS is enabled
What settings I can alter for more advantage?
Thanks for your help brother :good:

I used to always voice dictate to my phone. I'm usually listening to podcast or Google Play. I would normally press the microphone button on the keyboard and the audio would pause and then it would transcribe the speech. A second later it would detect no sound and then my audio from doggcatcher would start playing or Google Play Music would restart.
No it beeps the audio pauses for a brief second and then the audio keeps going. If I use the mic on "Google Now Search" it works like normal.
Any suggestions?
I am stock rooted on a clean wipe of 4.4.2
Who do I even contact? Samsung? Google?
Any suggestions?
Any one having the same problem? Any one not having the problem?
Microphone on keyboard won't stop audio playing (anymore}

Okay apparently its a problem across the board:
Voice Dictate Issue:
The problem could be a bug in the KitKat OS update, because I tried different 'Keyboard' apps and I was able to reproduce the problem with all of them, this is also an issue using voice search with 'Google maps'. Apps that require audio playback to pause, needs to tell Android, so that Android can tell DC to pause.
If you're reading this (yes you!) could you also take the time out to click the link below and report the problem so we can't get that fixed?

Hi All RN3 users,
I am writing this from India, using a Redmi Note3 Snapdragon, 32gb, running MIUI Global 8.0.6.0
I have been using this RN3 since 2 months now. I am music fan and was happily listening to songs on Rocket Player and few other Music players with Philips Earphone which I had got with Philips 1GB Mp3 player many years ago. It was a TRS jack and was working fine.
Suddenly few days ago the earphone went dead. After this I have been trying few others like JBL Headphone, LG earphone(TRRS) etc.
Everytime I plug in the ear/headphone and switch on the music player, the song plays for about 4 seconds and then OK Google voice assistant opens up on its own and stops the music. Push it to background and manually resume the music, it appears again. With my old Philips earphone I never had this problem and the top bar icon was always of headphone only. Now it changes to earphone with mic icon before OK google appears.
I browsed the net for solutions, forced stop the google app, disabled voice detection in settings, tried rebooting, tried 2-3 new earphones but no use.
According to some users who are facing this problem, it is a earphone jack and audio port hardware issue, earphone is being mistaken somehow as microphone and so the voice app is appearing.
But it was not there with my old model Philips earphone
Even now this problem is not there when I am playing FM Radio !!
No problem when playing the music with Phone Speaker
But only when playing music from music player apps and with Earphones inserted.
From net browsing I learned that even other brands like LG G3, HTC, Galaxy phones are facing this and with good branded earphones like Sennheiser, SoundMagic, JBL.
Also this problem was not there with MIUI v8050.
Is it a bug or a hardware issue? Is my audio-port damaged?
PLEASE help me solve this. What is the guarantee that buying a new earphone would solve this issue?
Hey Google, It is NOT OK to stop playing music.
I was also facing the same issue, and no its not a hardware issue. I solved this issue by modifying mixer file in /system/etc/ by changing a line from HIFI to LP and then a reboot.
Can you please give detailed info how to edit that file. Full path where to locate that file.
My phone is not rooted, I don't know how to root. I hope the solution you have suggested doesn't need rooting.
Open Google > Settings > Voice > Hands Free > uncheck "For wired Headsets".
OK google Detection > Disable everything...
Try this and see if the problem was gone

Hi madkiran, I have tried doing this and sorry to say it did not help. What you have suggested is the only action we as non-expert users could attempt.
I fail to understand how despite disabling it pops up once music starts playing.
Hi,
There is strange issue i am facing with my phone. Every time i get a call i can listen to the person but my voice does not reach the person from the other end. I have to connect my earphones and then speak through mic.
I did factory reset but that didn't help.
I am not sure whether its a hardware issue or a firmware one?
Any Solutions?
