Hi all,
I am new in this advance android flashing world & just wanted to know how can I easily root my micromax a116 canvas HD device to install latest CWM so that i can install custom roms. Also please provide me some tutorials or help if I wanted to revert it back to stock mode, i mean complete uninstall of all these advance apps like CWM and all.

welcome to XDA at this forum every thing u want is availble but u need to read and learn thing people here will help not hand hold u start by reading the below thread also search in the devlopment thread read all and ask ur questions on what u dont understand and u will +vly get help:laugh:

Finally i learned to root and sucessfully rooted my XPERIA U,thanx to xda developers staff...
now i want learn to install CUSTOM ROMS onto my phn please help me iam new to this please answer some of my questions below i would be very thankfull for ur answers..
1) what are ROMS..?
2)Where do i get them plz give me the site for downloading them for my xperia U...?
3) How can i install them plz give me easy and safe procedure to install CWM...?
4) Do INSTALLING and FLASHING roms are the same..?
5)what happens if i install the roms of other phones onto my phones..?
6)How to get into recovery mode for my xperia U..?
7) what are KERNELS and how do they differ from ROMS and how to install and where do i get them...?
Any help would be appreciated...

1) read only memory !
2) check the xperia u development section for lots of custom roms ( only 3 or 4 )
4) roms are flashed and apps are installed
5) u will end up sad
7) kernel is a communication between the data and the process ( I read it somewhere bt not sue)

For a start learn to root your phone..... install CWM and learn to use that too...
See how other people ended up bricking their phone..... so that you can avoid it..
There are many forums that can teach you to build a ROM....

I have a MIcromax A35 and was wondering if it could run the android 4.0 platform. I've searched all over the internet and did not find a single ROM for my device. I would really love to see a 4.0 OS on A35. So, it is a request to all developers working on Micromax device, If they can please spare some time out for this device.
P.S. - I have no sort of knowledge on ROM development, so basically I cannot do this myself and require your help. :angel:
And there should be request and answers to request threads(did not see any) for each specific devices this would help novice users a lot.

I have a device called xtouch x2 (512mb ram).last week ibhave found custum tecovery for it.now i want to upgrade it using some custum roms .i have heard about rom porting but i didnt really know the conditions.
So please help me in making (porting) it. I didnt know which rom to be selected as port rom.
Developers please suggest a beautyfull rom which can be selected .
curret version is 4.2.2
New rom needed above 4.2.2
Custum recovery is cwm
