OK. You need 4ext recovery and sense ROM. Wipe everything except sd card an be sure to enable smartflash in recovery before flashing

root finally hear hopefully ????????

We finally have root for hboot 1.50 hopefully, read up guys: http://phandroid.com/2011/12/26/htc...es/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
i hope so. im getting an evo 3d today and all tho i know how to use adb, i really don't feel like messin with it whenever i want to flash a rom...
But there is nothing in the article that ensures that hboot 1.50 will be able to be unlocked with this tool, I think that testing will need to be done.
They can be offering to unlock only past versions of the hboot...

Did you give it a go on your 1.5 hboot?
I was about to try it but i cant download the file, keeps cancelling itself at 3.7mb
Ill try this as soon I get a chance.

I would try to but I dont think our IT guy at work would like me to install all the adb files.
im trying this now
im almost 100% positive this doesnt work with 1.5
will this work, ill be getting my evo 3d in a few weeks time, it would be nice to get it rooted whens its out the box!
Mastajeff will be letting us know (hopefully) soon.
Just downloaded & might give it a go.

If nobody reports yay or nay on HBOOT 1.50 I will try it tonight when I get home.
I read some where it required HTC token bin file ??? so may be HTC way ? I waiting too ? Hopefully its works without HTC method.
This will NOT give you s-off if you have 1.5.

Hboot 1.5 S-ON Adb/Fastboot tool |Download| Easy and Simple to use

Hey guys, i just wrote simple script to make it easier booting/rebooting recovery for hboot 1.5 s-on users.
Screenshots pretty much explain what it does.

I'm already rooted on 1.5 with TWRP. Is there any reason I need to DL this? I'm sorry if that's a dumb question. I just recently rooted.

Yes, if you are S-On, youre gonna have to boot into recovery throu fastboot to flash ROMs and Kernels
with this you dont have to type the commands and you save time.
Does that mean I don't need to use Flash Image GUI anymore if I use this?

This isn't S-off... Just allows you to flash kernels as if you did have a S-off device. Might want to change the subject before you get people all excited.

Then that is the problem. UKB has not been updated to the newest version. So the drivers are not correct for the kernel.

I'm not sure there is one specific to UKB. However, it can be flashed separately from the RUU, which would probably be easier than the full RUU install.

UKB didn't include a boot.img. It used the stock kernel. That being said, I'm not sure that it will work as it didn't the other way around. It is possible though.
to use the UKB ROM.
since it's based on the old RUU
you need the old boot.img AND the kernel modules -- if u want wifi to work anyway..

I'm confused on why anyone would want the UKB Rom. I started out with it and then went to Viper. They felt the same except Viper has more options. And now it's updated too. Am I missing something here?

you need the wifi modules for the kernel you are using..

Please help me, my device is bricked!

Hi. I installed a stock rom today, but mistakenly I pulled the cord and my device is bricked please help me, what can I do I have a INTL SGP5.
Bricked how, exactly? Does it turn on (hardbrick)? Does it bootloop (softbrick)?

Does it boot?
Are there any signs of life in the device?

Id guess its soft bricked. If u can get.into recovery and.have a recovery, then restore. If the restore acts funny, it could be that u need to re-flash the appropriate kernel.
If u can't get into recovery, flash a.ROM via Odin/heimdall
