So I'm Stuck trying to get s-off using revone. I'm on at&t with the hboot 1.44. I can't seem to get passed the error code 6 and inputting ./revone -P
I've read that some people just kept trying until it finally worked but I've probably tried it at least 100 times with the same result. Also I used the htcdev to unlock my bootloader so i don't know if that has anything to do with it

I took the OTA update (not my smartest move) and am still on HBOOT 1.44. But I think it is the update that is killing my chance to get s-off. I think I have to wait until they figure it out.

I just did it, took me about 5 minutes and now I'm s-off and tampered removed. I'm on the same firmware as well.
I've watched that video a ton of times. My problem is that I took the ota update that made my mainver. .15. So now I gotta go through the downgrade process.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Oh, OK. Because the above post says you're on .10, that's why I posted the video.
Yea. I'm using a stock rom that's .10 but if I do the getvar command it shows my mainver as .15

Since u already unlocked the boot loader, root the phone then proceed with this s-off procedure:
abd push revone /data/local/tmp/
abd shell
cd /data/local/tmp
chmod 755 revone
su
U should now see a #
Skip the ./revone -P command step and type:
./revone -s 0 -u
These are the steps I used and was successful. Removed tampered label as well after.
Something within the update, whether or not it was the firmware, seems as though they patched the motochopper temp root exploit which is part of the process that gains s-off. Hope this works...

I'm wondering also. After I took the 2.17.651.5 update I couldn't "downgrade" and run an earlier Ruu such as 2.08.651.3. ( I wanted to go back to previous radio). I'm HTC unlocked with S-On.

Hey Everybody..
Here a little guide to how to make you T-Mobile HTC One a Developer Edition and receive OTA updates directly from HTC with no carries delays.
after downloading and unzip the revone.zip file do the following:
MAKE SURE YOUR ADB AND FASTBOOT ARE WORKING PROPERLY. AND UNINSTALL HTC SYNC MANAGER BEFORE DOING ANY OF THESE STEPS!!
ONLY DO THIS IF YOU ARE COMFORTABLE IN WHAT YOU DOING.
adb push revone /data/local/tmp
adb shell
cd /data/local/tmp
chmod 755 revone
./revone -P
exit
reboot your phone
adb shell
cd /data/local/tmp
./revone -s 0 -u
exit
adb reboot bootloader
your bootloader should now be S-OFF
to change CID do this:
fastboot oem writecid 11111111
fastboot reboot-bootloader
your bootloader screen should now show the new CID
you can now flash the Original RUU for the HTC One Developer Edition from http://www.htcdev.com/devcenter/downloads
i take no credit for this guide this is just a re-write from the real devs page. i wanted to make it easy for those looking in this section
Is this reversible? Also, do you get everything you get on the Tmo version except wifi calling and Tmo apps? Thanks.
I think links to the revone s-off thread would be more appropriate than just rewriting their instructions and posting their file here, don't you? Those devs deserve proper credit, and the real support for problems is going to be there....

When HTC updates though wouldn't they also be updating the radio? If that's the case won't that affect our 1700 band or will we still keep it? All I care about is stock since I'm already over the whole flashing and rooting stuff. Wish HTC did a dev edition with tmobile bands.

adb says: device not found. I installed everything. From android sdk to fastboot. Hasoon2000's all in one kit works, so it is not my USB connection. I really need to recover with a developer edition RUU. My HTC One is useless right now.
Oh well something strange happend. When I command: fastboot reboot-bootloader my HTC One reboot in to bootloader. It is not working on adb, but on fastboot commands.

I do not have OS. Everything on my phone is wiped. I only have a USB kabel, HTC One which is still unlocked. My only hope is S-OFF and then flash developer edition cause there is no T-Mobile RUU available
Edit: I think it works. I see a white screen with HTC logo and text at the bottom: "This is build is for development purposes only etc". So I commanded: adb reboot bootloader and it works. Bit still, when I command: adb devices, there is no device.

Hi Everyone,
Question. Trying to get S-Off...
Currently HTCDev bootloader unlocked, Rooted, Running CleanRom XE 1.1...
Tried using Revone but keep getting Revone Error Code = 1 after ./revone -P command.
Tried Moonshine, but getting ADB Connection after test 2 when it reboots the phone from the bootloader.
I have tried every method, reboot etc...
Any help???
Thanks in advance.

Have you looked at the original threads for Moonshine and Revone and see if other users had the same issue and what their solution was if any?
I think you have to be on stock firmware. Have you tried moonshine with a stock .12 rom. Make sure Fastboot is unchecked and usb debugging is checked?
Use revone-0.2.1
And if that continues to give you an error. Keep repeating the command. Eventually it will lock in.
Its been 7 hours, time to ask for help. My wife cracked her rezound so bought one on Ebay. Both of us have had rooted rezounds for about 2 years (both s-off), keep getting "can't find a seat", install device and drivers", and "critical error" messages while trying juopunut (however you spell it) s-off. Have installed: HTC sync, adb manager (SDK blah blah blah), and all the "all in one tools" I can find. Going crazy. Currently unlocked bootloader, AmonRa, and installed super Su. Phone is stock as hell and still on gingerbread (scared to update to ics through verizon ota update cause i dont trust verizon or their firmware. I am totally lost. Please help.

refer to my s-off guide here in the rezound q&a forums...the windows version.which im assuming your trying to use was ONLY meant for ICS and was removed because the windows version hard bricked one too many devices
Edit: as you are on gingerbread that too was produced by verizon and htc....same as pure stock ics....you can also get a non verizon sense based ics rom on here which runs much better than verizons gingerbread or ics
You think it would be easier to s-off with or without taking the OTA update?

You don't really have a choice here... You have Amon Ra (a custom recovery) so even if you take the OTA it won't install, OTA updates require a stock recovery.
The Windows S-OFF method will only work with ICS (there was no GB version), so you could install the 3.14.605.12 RUU first (this will give you a stable ICS version installed), but with the messages you are getting it sounds like you have a driver or USB issue, or perhaps Fastboot enabled (not the same as fastboot from the bootloader) or USB Debugging not turned on.
Be very cautious with the Windows ControlBear, @REV3NT3CH is correct, it was removed because it bricked a lot of phones, it was never stable... it works for most people, but there are circumstances that if put together correctly will brick you device permanently. You could try the Linux method, it is the only official way and there is a GB version on http://unlimited.io/juopunutbear.htm that will work with your device.
TBH, I'd not even bother. I'd look into seeing why ADB/Fastboot doesn't work right. First I'd uninstall HTC Sync (should have been called HTC Stync LOL).

Okay, well, here is where I get confused. When I s-off'd 2 years ago it was on gingerbread and I still have the old juopunutbear program so in theory everything should be the same. To my knowledge, I can't figure out a way to toggle debugging on GB. Oh, can anyone link me to (literally) from start to finish, every single download I will need to successfully s-off given the specs that I've provided that I'm working with? I would appreciate it more than you know because I must be doing something wrong. Thanks!!

Would it be okay if I were to dualboot a Linux image on my Windows PC to perform S-OFF? There wouldn't be any command errors or extra precautions, right?

yes its ok to dualboot...thats my setup and works fine...i suggest using 32 bit version of linux as that is what is recommended....my guide on here gives perfect step by step instructions for it
I think(needs clarification) you have to fastboot flash boot.img, boot back into rom and try again.

try a different wire....ive seen a few rezounds where its gotten stuck on jpbear arrow screen and renders it permanently BRICKED
Edit: again this only happens on windows....should of followed my guide bud
I will be honest, I have used the Windows utility every time, it hasn't failed me yet, once I have gotten to that point and the wire trick failed, it should continue to prompt you to do the trick or tell you what to do... Just run ControlBear again, it should take you to the point where you do the wire trick again, if not, look at the ControlBear Troubleshooting page on unlimited.io

Actually, you are almost there... if you are stuck in Fastboot, try this from step #2, remember you are in Windows, so you might have to copy files into and issue the commands from the appropriate directory instead of using "sudo":
There are three ways to recover your ROM. Try each one in until you succeed:
Open the cmd prompt that is located in your ControlBear folder where you unzipped all of the files.
Type the following cmds into the cmd prompt.
1. ControlBear -r (This is run with the phone at the JuopunutBear/Arrow screen) If this succeeds recovery is complete otherwise continue to Step 2.
2. ControlBear -f (This is run with the phone at the fastboot screen). If this succeeds you're done otherwise continue to Step 3.
3. fastboot flash boot boot_backup.img
4. fastboot flash recovery recovery_backup.img (This is done with the phone in fastboot mode) If this succeeds continue to Step 5.
5. Boot the phone to android and install busybox from the market if not already installed.
6. sudo ./adb push sdcard.img /data/local/tmp/
7. sudo ./adb shell
8. $ su
9. # busybox dd if=/data/local/tmp/sdcard.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk1 conv=notrunc
10. Reboot the phone.

If you take the phone back to an ATT store for an exchange or to have them fix it, you don't have to return it to stock. they don't check and they don't care. The only time you need to return it to stock is if you are having to send it back to HTC. If at all possible deal with ATT as they will most of the time just hand you a new one while HTC will give you a refurb. You won't get your original back from HTC.

Doesn't he need USB debugging and accept the computers adb key? That could be why he gets that.

how do i achieve s-off on hboot 1.56 ive tried rumrunner, firewater, arhd, venom rom
i think i used firewater for s-off,I unlocked via htc dev and then ran the firewater on numerous htc ones, you do need an unsecured boot image for your device though...root actually isnt needed,is a plus but i didnt root my devices and it worked with just a unsecured boot image I made
