[Q] Need Suggestions related to my New app Hide My Secrets - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Guys,
I have developed my android app called hide my secrets. This App will be helpful to the users who do not want anyone to access their personal data on their mobile phones. The users can hide any file, contacts, call logs, messages and can even lock the app so that nobody can access their data.
The App is currently is in Testing, not launched now and will be launched on 15th august 2013, I need your suggestions regarding the App so that I can add the some more functionality to the app.
Thanks in advance,
Rajesh Kanjani

[Q] Android app which queries wordpress database for specific message category

I am writing my first app and want to know if I can have my app check a specific WordPress database and display the latest message from a particular message category. And if so, is there suggestions as to how many times it should query while the app is running?
My reason is to be able to post a very short message with the WordPress admin page that will show up only for users of my android app. I don't want their phone to chime a notification when they aren't using my app (that would be annoying I think)...I want anyone who has my app open to get messages I post via WordPress in a relatively quick timeframe.
Suggestions and guidance greatly appreciated.

[Q] Why does an app need this permission: ACCESS EMAIL PROVIDER DATA ?

I was looking at this free Kingsoft Office and here is what it lists among its required permissions:
"Access email provider data
Allows this application to access your email database, including received messages, sent messages, usernames and passwords."
It seems highly suspicious to me even without the usernames and passwords part. Can anyone explain? Should I stay away from such apps? Thanks!
The app is in Google Play, I can't give the link because I'm a new user.
OK, so I take it nobody cares why an app downloaded millions of times would ask for these things? To me it seems like a huge risk, so good thing I'm not using it. The developers didn't bother to answer my email either. Great! Check permissions very carefully before you install an app, people!

[Q] HELP - how to create a android video chat app

Hello,
I am trying to build an android application that included a live video chat function. Users will log in, select the person they want to chat with and connect. Then once the call has finished they will be requested to complete a form providing feedback.
This is just one function of the app so I am worried about using these sites that provide the service of video chat as I would need to be able to incorporate it in to the app as appose to that being the only function of the app. In many ways the app will function a lot like skype in that all users will have a profile. But I would like the option of having ‘1 to many’ calls not just ‘1 to 1’.
I am a complete novice. Please could you advise me how I would go about creating this? What software to use to build my app (preferably free) what server system I would need to use etc.
I do hope you can help.

Please advise: how to implement scheduling through automation

Hi, I have a note 4 lollipop. The Samsung messaging app is great because you can schedule messages to be sent later, I believe Gmail also has this capability though perhaps not yet from the app.
However I communicate with people mostly through telegram, what's app, viber, facebook, etc. None of these offer delayed messages capability.
I was wondering if there was some automation app or combination of apps, that I could use to request the message and time in a dialog then wait until that time and then macro control some app and paste the text there to send.
I'm interested in a non root solution however, root is a good plan B. Although xposed onky works on one device I have, so non xposed is probably preferable.
Does anyone have any ideas or would this not be possible due to security sandbox in type restrictions?

[Q] App to Spy (Monitor) Mobile Phone

Hello everyone.
I want to know Android Apps that are used to track your Kids, Office staff or friends.
I'm looking for an app which has the following features.
- Records All calls and store on Cloud accounts (G Drive/ Dropbox )
- Grabs GPS location (wheather gps is on/off)
- Access to photos recieved or clicked.
- WhatsApp & Fb Messenger chat logs.
- All tracking should be remote via Cloud accounts or some weblink.
I'm not sure about all these features in one app, multiple apps will also work. I have rooted device.
I've doubt that my brother is into wrong line, he might be dealing something illegal. So need to track him down and stop.
PS : If I have posted at wrong place, kindly shift it to correct place. Pls dnt ban me!
I ll be glad to hear replies from you. Looking for some urgent solutions.
Thanks SD!
Idk about an app, I do know family base on Verizon helps you track, but pulling FB messages and texts is super secure and hard for an app to be aloud to do that.

How about no. This is illegal. This is immoral. This kind of discussion won't take place on XDA. Thread closed.
