Beta 1 notes :
Root - It's disabled by default, it has to be or it's an instant fail on the CTS! (Compatibility Test Suite). Good news you can just turn it on. Either in the superuser app -> settings or in Developer options.
A few more settings have been moved around. It was decided that no "advanced" user settings should be under developer options. Some were moved previously but with the beta 1 release the following have also been changed
Ram bar is now under interface
Media scan on boot is under system advanced options
Advanced reboot menu is now called Secure reboot and is under security.
Reserved 2
Gonna try that out...
Thanks
Finally..thank you..will test and report back!!

Is this based on GE or AOSP?
Update
Just looked at file size. I'm guessing this is AOSP.
Has anyone found that the volume of the phone, particularly the speaker phone and music playback is a lot lower with the AOSP Roms?
Well so far I'm likeing this build but one thing I noticed was that I am not able to change lcd density in the settings
BTW Loved the builds you worked on with the Vision your part of the reason I had got this phone (that and speakers and build quality)
Also Im using the m7tmo version if it helps

Try turning on root access for apps and adb in developer settings and trying again. I still have my vision and I'm crazy enough to be trying to get 4.3 going on it

Its very stable. Its faster than the GE rom in my opinion. Everything seems to be working. I wish we could get better sound on the aosp roms. None of the sound mods come close to sense or GE sound. Only thing that keeps me away from aosp.

Okay had to disable and re-enable root access in developer settings to get it to work.
Yea that would be awesome to see 4.3 on the vision, to bad I put my phone in my pocket and my drivers license ripped my ribbon cable.
It would have been a great phone to give to my son with it built like a tank and all.
this ROM is incredible, definitly my new daily

Cherry pick list
* CyanogenMod's latest merges: http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/q/status:merged+branch:cm-12.1,n,z
* CyanogenMod's Github: http://github.com/cyanogenmod
This is a kang of CM12 with cherry picks from CyanogenMod’s Gerrit Instance, compiled by a group of volunteers that enjoy learning about building CyanogenMod & Android in general. All credit goes to cyanogen, #teamdouche and the coders who submit to Gerrit. Thank you to @RyanMacG for providing Euroskank hosting.
These builds are bleeding-edge, most comparable to a nightly build, and are not meant for inexperienced users. Things will be broken and crash from time to time, you need to accept that this isn't stable by any means before flashing. Nandroid as often as possible.
How to post useful, informative bug reports:
Sometimes dev's actually check out our threads, or sometimes we have a good relationship with a dev or two. These bleeding-edge builds will have issues, and having good information on what's broken is great feedback before a feature is merged. Here are some good bug reporting tips:
* No bug reports while using custom kernels or add-ons:
CyangenMod's own bug reporting tool does not accept bug reports from people using non-stock kernels for a reason, so why should we? CM can merge changes to their kernel causing custom kernels to break things until they catch up. Therefore, please do not post any bug reports while using a custom kernel or add-on such as Xposed Framework. Post your issues with custom kernels in their own respective threads as they are the ones who need to play catch up. Any bug report posted in this thread should be while running CM's stock framework and kernel, as this prevents unnecessary clutter.
* Gapps are not a CM issue:
CyanogenMod is built to run without the assistance of Google's proprietary apps (gapps). Having issues with your Google account and syncing is a gapps issue, not a CM issue. Please do not post about any gapps related issues, just wipe data and try a different gapps package.
* Posting about the same bug every build:
Beating a dead horse with "bug X still isn't fixed" posts just adds unnecessary clutter and provides no help into actually fixing the issue. Some bugs take days to squash, some take weeks. Please don't report the same bug every time a build is uploaded.
* Logs:
Provide logcats when applicable. Use a service like Pastebin and put a link to the log in the post. Please do not post logs directly to the forum.
If these requests are too demanding, there's good news! CyanogenMod is open source, so please feel free to download the source code, compile your own builds volunteering your time and resources, then start a thread and run it however you see fit. All we simply ask is that people post good, reliable information that can be passed on to a developer that can actually do something with it, making CM a better product for everyone involved.

I realized last night/this morning when I posted that build that the source was 3-4 days old. Feature wise there were a couple tweaks that were committed since then that i wanted you guys to have. I also added swagpapers and scar45s AOKP Web app. Otherwise this is stock AOKP from source. If you flashed the 1-23 build this update should be able to dirty flash just fine.

OK So i went ahead and posted Beta 4 without halo, it appears there are quite a few bugs that still need to be worked out so id rather have a stable base for everyone to use. Its nice to see how these kit kat bases are progressing and it gives the jewel owners the "latest and greatest" while also not causing the phone to blow up :cyclops:

ThinkingBridge project consists of people (around the world now) that want to learn how to do things related to the Android Open Source Project. It's not just a fork that has a few features added in and some themes changed, or a project that just wants to see how many devices can be ported. We've all learned something in the process of porting devices, and creating features, and continue to do so. With contributions from other forks like CyanogenMod and CodeAurora we are able to learn from them and continue even with older devices.
Also, all of the sources can be publicly viewed through Github.

Cool man.. Nice looking ROM..
OP you can add in the title or first post about the ROM BASE- AOSP/CM ? so that you wont get post saying which kernel to try.
Downloading and will post the review. :good:
Its running crazy smooth!
Thanks!
Just a quick question. I noticed the stock kernel is CM. Now will we need a CM CAF kernel or will AOSP work?
TIA

AOSP kernels don't work in my case.
I tried faux, franco, hellscore, matrix and they all had some error.

Man this status bar colors API are nice if we can see it more often in other ROMs .. too bad it's exclusive ..
Flashed this an hour ago and i am loving chameleon engine ! Amazing work guys !
It lacks a litlle bit in customization but hopefully it will come in next versions, its stable and smooth and i would recommend it to anyone !

But if i complie from your github (Which i found on ThinkBridge G+) and cherry pick some other features the Chamelon os will be there right?
I think you should put in the OP the list of feaures that the rom has, but beside from that I'll try it just for the chameleon engine, which looks so cool from the screenshots (I can't see the video )
