Cherry pick list
* CyanogenMod's latest merges: http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/q/status:merged+branch:cm-12.1,n,z
* CyanogenMod's Github: http://github.com/cyanogenmod
This is a kang of CM12 with cherry picks from CyanogenMod’s Gerrit Instance, compiled by a group of volunteers that enjoy learning about building CyanogenMod & Android in general. All credit goes to cyanogen, #teamdouche and the coders who submit to Gerrit. Thank you to @RyanMacG for providing Euroskank hosting.
These builds are bleeding-edge, most comparable to a nightly build, and are not meant for inexperienced users. Things will be broken and crash from time to time, you need to accept that this isn't stable by any means before flashing. Nandroid as often as possible.
How to post useful, informative bug reports:
Sometimes dev's actually check out our threads, or sometimes we have a good relationship with a dev or two. These bleeding-edge builds will have issues, and having good information on what's broken is great feedback before a feature is merged. Here are some good bug reporting tips:
* No bug reports while using custom kernels or add-ons:
CyangenMod's own bug reporting tool does not accept bug reports from people using non-stock kernels for a reason, so why should we? CM can merge changes to their kernel causing custom kernels to break things until they catch up. Therefore, please do not post any bug reports while using a custom kernel or add-on such as Xposed Framework. Post your issues with custom kernels in their own respective threads as they are the ones who need to play catch up. Any bug report posted in this thread should be while running CM's stock framework and kernel, as this prevents unnecessary clutter.
* Gapps are not a CM issue:
CyanogenMod is built to run without the assistance of Google's proprietary apps (gapps). Having issues with your Google account and syncing is a gapps issue, not a CM issue. Please do not post about any gapps related issues, just wipe data and try a different gapps package.
* Posting about the same bug every build:
Beating a dead horse with "bug X still isn't fixed" posts just adds unnecessary clutter and provides no help into actually fixing the issue. Some bugs take days to squash, some take weeks. Please don't report the same bug every time a build is uploaded.
* Logs:
Provide logcats when applicable. Use a service like Pastebin and put a link to the log in the post. Please do not post logs directly to the forum.
If these requests are too demanding, there's good news! CyanogenMod is open source, so please feel free to download the source code, compile your own builds volunteering your time and resources, then start a thread and run it however you see fit. All we simply ask is that people post good, reliable information that can be passed on to a developer that can actually do something with it, making CM a better product for everyone involved.

Bugs to report:
1) Focal FC's with every pic taken and the image is completely blank and black in the Gallery.
2) There's two DeskClock apks causing the error message when you first boot. I deleted the smaller one out of system\app to fix it.
Is there a way to enable notifications to always expand?

Does this have the IR Remote functionallity added like invisiblek's unnoficial nightlys?
Is this just cm, or are there other roms code merged into the build? Is it different than the other cm unofficial nightlies?

If you typically flash nightly builds, I'm pretty confident that you will enjoy these builds. The vibrant and captivate folks have embraced these builds a little more readily, so far.
In other words..... Don't "watch".... It's time to #crackflash!!!
EDIT: I stand corrected on the "embraced" statement... downloads are now pretty even across devices, all things considered!

Trust me... I take NO CREDIT!!! I can barely tie my shoes!
This thread was my first post ever in the Fascinate section. I have no idea who jt1134 is, but I'm certain that person deserves vastly more credit than I would ever attempt to stake claim to. I'm furthermore betting he falls into the broad group of people to whom I attempted to give ultimate and absolute deserved credit.
I hope I haven't been unclear.

Take this with a grain of salt, but unless the OP specifically states to wipe everything, you almost never have to wipe anything but dalvik. Usually not even that unless you encounter issues... it's recommended to wipe dalvik and cache just to avoid issues but unless you get a bootloop or FCs then you don't need to data wipe. Especially if you're going to this from current CM7 or MIUI or something similar in framework to this ROM.

Sure does...hell yeah! It breaks up a bit here and there, but not bad at all! The GPS took a while to lock on, but looks like I got a solid lock now, ready to navigate in Google maps. Excellent work! Yes. Any non-Touchwiz will get rid of most of the s-pen functionality and basically turn it into a regular stylus.

Beta 1 notes :
Root - It's disabled by default, it has to be or it's an instant fail on the CTS! (Compatibility Test Suite). Good news you can just turn it on. Either in the superuser app -> settings or in Developer options.
A few more settings have been moved around. It was decided that no "advanced" user settings should be under developer options. Some were moved previously but with the beta 1 release the following have also been changed
Ram bar is now under interface
Media scan on boot is under system advanced options
Advanced reboot menu is now called Secure reboot and is under security.
Reserved 2
Gonna try that out...
Thanks
Finally..thank you..will test and report back!!

Update
Just looked at file size. I'm guessing this is AOSP.
Has anyone found that the volume of the phone, particularly the speaker phone and music playback is a lot lower with the AOSP Roms?
Well so far I'm likeing this build but one thing I noticed was that I am not able to change lcd density in the settings
BTW Loved the builds you worked on with the Vision your part of the reason I had got this phone (that and speakers and build quality)
Also Im using the m7tmo version if it helps

I realized last night/this morning when I posted that build that the source was 3-4 days old. Feature wise there were a couple tweaks that were committed since then that i wanted you guys to have. I also added swagpapers and scar45s AOKP Web app. Otherwise this is stock AOKP from source. If you flashed the 1-23 build this update should be able to dirty flash just fine.

Let me know how it works out and if you want to take over building it again I have no problem stepping asside. Really all i did was patch things up so it would compile and work on the jewel.

I left a note in the OP about that. The AOKP team is still working on how to deal with devices that have the capacitive buttons like ours. Until then those options wont work.

I apologize greatly for that. Complete oversight on my part.
Wow, I never check this section of the forum. Thanks mass for building this, OP!!! AOKP was my favorite AOSP ROM. I'm giving this a go tomorrow. So stoked to see this. Thank you.

Thanks: I DID NOT MAKE THIS ROM! I simply compiled it to work on our device. I can not express enough that these types of projects can not be done without the support of the community.
deck's tireless work made the CM kernel and device tree that this and many other roms for this device are based on.
tearaz, Haus_, shortyishere, NaterTots, CaptainThrowback, and everyone in the #htc-evo-4g-lte channel for all of their support and info along the way.
The Paranoid Android Team for their hard work in getting the source up for us to try.
Please dont hesitate to let me know if someone was missed here, send a PM or catch me in freenode and ill get you in there

Absolutely beautiful!! Thanks!
So I noticed after posting yesterday that Beta 4 codebase was out so here it is!
I noticed PA is now including SuperSU in their rom so no need for a separate flash anymore. Removed link to SuperSU from op
So tearaz just pointed out many of the other releases have PAs halo...so im going to rebuild with it. I think it was a useful feature to PA...be back with it soon.
Would this be on the ota updater or no?
I don't remember PA being pure stock.
Runs well though.

For now the major difference is the stackable pulldown settings, lightbulb and other PA tweaks (Fn buttons in settings for example).
Is there any way to modify the status bar stuff, like changing the battery icon to percentage etc....

Ok cool, since I flashed this ive got 2 random crashes where it freezes for a sec then reboots the phone, should I be running log cat to document this?

Beta 4
OK So i went ahead and posted Beta 4 without halo, it appears there are quite a few bugs that still need to be worked out so id rather have a stable base for everyone to use. Its nice to see how these kit kat bases are progressing and it gives the jewel owners the "latest and greatest" while also not causing the phone to blow up :cyclops:

Feel free to update to Beta 4 and yeah if you can pull the logcat that would be great.
Looks like I got the first DL can't wait to give it a go ! You rock GoblinZ thanks for bringing these ROMs for us

So it looks like Beta 4 broke the PA Lightbulb app and im not seeing the PA Easteregg...challenge accepted! I will post a build once I get these fixed.
In the mean time these and the more important drop down settings features were all in Beta 3. Feel free to use it if these features were critical to your daily activies
