What bluetooth headset works correctly with the Rom's based on CM 10.1? I have Samsung HM-1200 and Nokia BH-110 and you can only hear crackling noises.
Not had a problem with my plantronics

Hi! I think I have the same problem here with the crackling noises. I hat the same issue with cm10.1 and cm10.2. Could you maybe confirm my problem, it would be helpful to know that it's not an issue with my phone only.
1) Bluetooth Audio (A2DP) for listening to music works fine all the time.
2) Bluetooth headset works only for the first call after a reboot. All subsequent calls have this crackling noise - also with the headset where music streaming still works fine. Tried it with 2 different headsets and my BT car stereo.
Exactly, I confirm
1 - Nokia BH-110 - only works once then crashes
2 - HM-1200 - crashes immediately
3 - Nokia BH-214 - Bluetooth Audio (A2DP) for listening to music works fine all the time but the conversation immediately crashes
Nokia BH-108 - only works once then crashes
Motorola S9 - only works once then crashes

I need headset with microphone.
I borrowed a few headsets to test them out.
One USB headset worked but it was inconvenient since it was wired.
One Bluetooth headset worked only with the speakers, the microphone just would not work on the G Tab (it worked on the desktop).
Can you recommend a Bluetooth headset that just works with the setup?
I tried several SONY and Motorola BT headsets and all were working fine except when you disconnect BT you have to reboot to get audio routed back to speakers.
(No other remedy worked)

Did the microphone work in all these cases?
Or did you have to do something special to get it to work?
Please provide a few more details

Which Android release, which ROM (Vegan?), which application (sipDroid, sound recorder, etc), and did headset microphone work (as opposed to built-in mike)?
Appreciate your feedback.
Hi,
I have the same issue with the original ROM (3588). It looks like original firmware does not support Bluetooth headsets with microphone it just support Bluetooth headphones without microphone. Can some one help with it? Or any other custom ROM supports Bluetooth microphone?
Thanks in advance.
I was trying my new bose Bluetooth headset today and found that i cannot use it on gtlak video calls, is the problem from my headset or it is not enabled from gtalk app?
update: turns out there is an option for bluetooth while in call but couldn't switch to it, dono if the problem is from my headset, anyone tried it ?
thx

I have the same problem, The voice gets routed to the bluetooth headset, but nothing happens afterwards, cannot hear or be heard!
When changing the audio the the speaker or earpiece, audio works fine.
I have a Jabra Extreme2 and on LFB latest stock with no root or any modifications.
This only happens on Gtalk, otherwise the bluetooth works fine with calls and anything else, oh also skype is funny with the bluetooth as well, not stable!
Is it a general thing of my combination of software, SGS3 and Jabra Extreme2?
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
I was wondering if anyone has any issues playing audio from their note 3 to a vizio soundbar. I am running temasek v45 with lean kernel 1.2.
The audio plays, but skips like crazy, and I have to keep the phone right in front of the soundbar to make it NOT skip.
Any suggestions?

I had this problem when I was using a galaxy gear. I ultimately got rid of the gear and all the apps on the phone pertaning to it and had to flash the stock kernel. Now no more skipping even from another room. If it matters I use poweramp and viper for android. I am not sure if it is because of the low energy bluetooth used by the gear or what .... just my experience.
I am stock rooted and don't have a Galaxy Gear. My audio plays just fine on my Vizio S4251W-B4.
I'm not a BT guru so maybe someone can explain this to me. When I have the soundbar paired as Media audio and my Plantronics Voyager Pro headset paired as Call audio only, the headset doesn't work and phone calls ring in the soundbar.
Hi,
I have the latest CM11 for SG III, I have also tried other ROMS but cannot get the phone audio to work with this headset. Normal audio is fine. I am using a cyberblue BSH10. An alternative headset does work.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Iain
I've bought a pair of bluetooth stereo headphones with mic. I've connected them successfully and both options for phone audio and media are enabled. I can listen to media, music and audio from apps. The problem is when i place a call. Although on the call screen at the bottom left the bluetooth icon is selected the call's audio is redirected to the phone's earpiece not to the bluetooth. The same headphones work great with another phone i checked. I have tried everything from dev, stable roms to aosp rom.The problem persists on call. I've tried mono bluetooth and calling works great. I've tried the sound about app and all the same.I've tried google dialer but also the same problem. So i am left with a bluetooth headset that i can only listen to music and not place a call.Any help or idea?
I am also facing the same problem. The Bluetooth connection displays - "Connected (no phone)". The Bluetooth headset works fine for phone media but doesn't work for calls. Anyone is able to use a Bluetooth device with Redmi NOte4 please?
I've been using Bluetooth on RN4 on nougat. However, I faced the issue you're describing only on Oreo ROMS.

this is a bug prevalent in all oreo roms, however some say that in omni rom, bluetooth call audio works, so maybe you can try that out

It works in Atomic OS Plasma (Oreo).
BTW, there is a list of Oreo ROMs here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/help/extensive-list-oreo-roms-mido-t3741277
Yes exact same problem cannot enjoy call via bluetooth headset. I think it's manufacturer defect in the phone. Cheap Bluetooth hardware Xiaomi placed I guess
