Hi, I have thunderbolt LTE ue which is on band 13. I have loaded custom rom as well on this.
When I want get on to other network/carrier, whose is also on band 13 with their SIM card and apn, ue detaches it self from network. I am missing something in configuring? Do I need replace radio module? Thanks in advance.

There's files in the framework that tell the phone to connect to verizon, it'll take a little more doing than changing the simcard and baseband

Buddy, you need to be more specific. What ROM? What Radio? Your question as it is is telling us that you have a touch pro....nothing else.
Thanks, I am currently using Cracings WM6.5 6.0.0.4 with radio 1.14.25.35....I had checked yesterday by changing rom and radio but the problem is still same...Is this problem belongs to WM6.5...is there any patch or something...I am unable to save service centre number manually...

Hummm... It sound strange to me... But... Why do you want to enter your service center number manually?
Wouldn't it be easier to just use Network Wizard to auto-detect your carrier and auto-configure everything that needs to be configured?
I know this is not a direct solution to your problem. It is a workaround though...
Cheers and good luck
sorry if I can't be of more help...

re: Wireless N not being recognized
Has anyone had this issue? I can't seem to find my wireless n network after flashing to ICS. I've tried many roms, but don't know what's the reason. If I flash back to HC I can see my wireless n network.

Is this the 5Ghz band you're referring to?
If so, it's not enabled in ICS for some reason.
There's a file that can be edited that will enable the band, but you need root to do so.
System/etc/wifi/
The file is nvram_net.txt
Change ccode from =GB to =ALL

I used ES File Explorer to get to the file and to edit it.
If File Manager is the same one I have (mine is File Manager HD) yes, I think. It can also get to the file
and it has as editor, but I haven't tried it yet.

Glad to see that solved it.
Would this be an issue to all N networks? (both 2.4 and 5ghz?) I have the WNR3500L which is single band 2.4 ghz only if I'm correct. Just want to know what I have ahead of me when I do the upgrade to ICS?
There's a better fix for this.
In /system/etc/wifi there are two files:
nvram_net.txt and nvram_net.txt.us
The installed one is for Great Britain, and the other one (.us) is for the United States.
Rename nvram_net.txt to nvram_net.txt.gb and rename nvram_net.txt.us to nvram_net.txt
This makes two changes. changes "ccode" to "ccode=US" and adds "regrev=5".

Well in my case I had the setting =US, and my wifi is on channel 12, 2.4ghz and was not discovered. After changing it to ALL it worked, maybe =GB would work too. I'm in Sweden and I guess channels are same throughout EU
This was for my GT 8.9 with Arlic's ICS rom. However my Xperia P which is on official ICS could not connect to my wifi either which is even more strange. This isn't rooted so I did not bother to check the setting. But I tested to change my router to ch 1 and the Xperia P now discovers the N network again.
BTW, what does the added setting "regrev=5" add to the mix?

I tried it on my GT 7510 (10.1/p4wifi) and it's able to see both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz signals with the "US" file in place. I don't know what the extra setting (regrev=5) does. Some kind of revision level?

Yeah, I'm also curious as to what that is.
With the latest .587 fw sony has brought yet another bug of network mode resetting to WCDMA/GSM rather than previously selected setting..
a fix to above problem will make this rom better .. help me modders
It can be set with this line in build.prop: ro.telephony.default_network=3.....now for the number 3 i don't know if it should be really 3, this number represents one of the alternatives when we select the network mode in settings menu.....i suppose that GSM only is the second option so it should be set to 2. I will try it
EDIT: Nope it doesn't seem to have any effect on the setting

Don't think that will help.
Switching of network types is under SemcPhone.apk.
Yes, interface is under Settings.apk but there is smali code under SemcPhone.apk that is doing it.
Lost two hours and failed to solve it.
I took all different code from 431 fw into 587 SemcPhone.apk but no help.
Reason is that radio user from radio group is deleting it each boot.
Now I am under impression that baseband is reseting it.
Those are my findings.
Sent from my LT18i using Tapatalk 2
have you try set it from the info menu ?
EDIT : actually ..i didn't get it ..what was the type of network that you want to set ?

Hi all.
For a little bit, I was running SlimLP. I was looking into SkyDragon and like the looks of that rom, so I flashed the 12b modem and the ROM onto my phone. Now here is the kicker: I have a Verizon G3, and I recently switched to T-Mobile, so the Unknown sim card symbol is in my notification bar, and on both roms I do not seem to get as good service as I used to with Verizon. Now that may be the switch from verizon, but I know people that have other phones that are from T-mobile, and they have excellent service in the same places that I am.
So my questions for now;
Is it possible to get rid of the unknown sim thing?
Is my service situation normal?
Thanks in advance. Any other comments are welcome as well.
