Hello.
So this is my problem.
I'm trying to flash the PAC Man ROM then flash Siyah Kernel v6.01 Beta 5 version, then flash on dual-boot options MIUI v5 version, and the same kernel, everything through CWM. When I reboot my phone to primary rom I get the SAMSUNG Galaxy S II logo next Siyah Kernel logo and then black screen When I try to boot secondary rom ( MIUI ) I get the MIUI logo and the startup sound but the sound is cut off and then I stuck on this logo I saw at youtube when one guy flash AOKP and MIUI together on dual-boot on siyah kernel too, but I can't Can you help me ? Please.
Sorry for bad English I'm from Poland.

How old was the video that you watched? The problem is due to siyah not being updated for the new Mali drivers. These are required to boot PACMan. If the video was a little older, it's likely these new drivers hadn't made it into PACMan yet, and hence Siyah booted it up.
I can't tell you if MIUI is compatible with this, but try dorimanx kernel. It's originally based on siyah kernel and is capable of dual-booting. I only can't tell you if it will work with MIUI as I've never flashed MIUI. There are two versions of the kernel, the 8.xx branch and the 9.xx branch. Read up on which one you'll need for MIUI, although I can tell you that both the 8.xx and 9.xx branch will boot PACMan.
Edit: and your English is great, don't stress

Title said it. I want to try out the new CM10 builds for the S2, but I still want to keep my stable CM9+Siyah build running in case the new ROM has some problems. Went to the Siyah kernel dual boot guide thread, and it's stated there that one can only dual boot 2 ICS ROMs. That means no ICS+GB... but is ICS+JB possible?
By the way, yes I did do a search before asking and found this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1800866 where a method is proposed, but it requires switching to another kernel and I'd like to stick to Siyah.
Current configuration: CM9 RC2, Siyah v3.4.

Hello guys i got resurecction remix jb V3.0.9. i got 3.0.15 siyah-s2-v4.1.5 kernel and i wanna try lastest dorimax kernel. my problem is i download a dorimax kernel and flash it via cwm. "install zip" and i chose the kernel when reboot the phone dont turn on i see galaxy 2 logo and none more.
how i can install that kernel? or i need other compatible rom?
sorry for ym bad english
If I'm not mistaken, the newest dorimanx supports only ROMs with the
new Mali drivers. RR 3.0.9 doesn't use those and so you're stuck in a bootloop. If you want to use dorimanx you'd have to look for an earlier version of the kernel. If you want to use the latest dorimanx only, then you'll have to use a ROM that mentions 'new Mali drivers' Look for those in the android development forum or original android development forum.

Yep. I did this too. The dorimanx 7.x (latest series) only supports Mali driver and RR 3.0.9 doesn't have that. I got around this by flashing Dorimanx 5.85 using Odin and everything is fine.
You will need to use Odin to flash a working kernel and everything will be back to normal.
Hi,
I currently have Paranoid Android v1.5 dual booting with a stock Samsung 4.04 ROM, using Siyah kernal 4.15 (the PA ROM is the primary and the stock is the secondary)
I want to update the PA ROM to version 2.2, but when I install it, I lose the dual boot option.
I tried flashing the Siyah kernal, which then gives me the dual boot option back again, and from there I can boot into the stock ROM, which is still listed as the secondary ROM, but if I try to boot the primary PA v2.2, the screen goes black and the ROM doesn't boot?
What am I doing wrong? I have tried full wipe/reset, wiped caches, fixed permissions all to no joy...
Anyone here point out what I'm missing? :good:

Siyah doesn't support PA after v1.6. The new mali drivers used by PA v1.7 and above not incorporated by GM in siyah yet.

I'm guessing that this kernal should allow me to dual boot, but when I install it, I get no boot menu options like with siyah? Am I just being thick? Do I need to do something to enable the boot menu? Thanks for the help so far.:good:

I dont believe dorimanx kernel 7.x supports dual boot yet. The latest siyah does. Head down to gokhanmoral.com and download the latest v5.0 version. Dual boot and support for PA 2.17 and above.

Thanks. Now I just have to decide if I want to go back to PA or stick with RR.
I got impatient and installed RR, in the mean time, and I kind of like it.
how to make dual boot roms on international s3
You cant make a dual boot rom. But there are dual boot kernels which you flash yourself and then can install a second rom aswell. I dont know which kernels do this but there is one or 2

I advise you to install Siyah kernel 1.9 it's let you combine 2 rom's personnaly I installed in First Rom a Samsung based rom like WanamLite; and in the second rom I install the latest CM 10.1 it work perfectly . however I still have issue after changing from the WanamLite Rom to the latest Omega 44.4.
My phone crashes after the first Boot. I'm working on it

hey guys, just signed up so please excuse my ignorance if this has been answered, redirected previously.
ive been using slimbean as my daily driver and love it without any problems. but for work i require something with slightly better battery management hence through my research it seems like 'ressurection remix' rom would be a good bet.
i currently use a s2 i9100 and wish to dual boot slimbean (as main) and ressurection remix (as secondary).
i understand siyahs latest kernel has issues with dual booting so with perhaps the older one 'SiyahKernel S2-v5.0.1', my question would this be possible ?
or perhaps a different kernel... again.. this is new to me and i would appreciate any direction or advice. i appreciate dual booting is always under construction...
thank you..

(would prefer a response before i start flashing stuffs, please dont question the why but i am seeking the howto)
unsucessfull
flashed siyahs latest beta kernel following the instructions....
flashed kernel.
booted cwm
setup second rom
installed second rom
reboot
home key, selected second rom... blank screen.
not working for me. ( if that had of worked i was going to swap first and second roms because after installing the siyahs kernel slimbean failed to boot. (blank screen after siyahs logo).
will try previous version..... i believe if this fails i will have to wait for siyah to 'fix' dualboot as is said in his latest beta. please correct me if i am wrong.
To be able to boot 4.2 and 4.3 you need dorimanx kernel. That would be 9.xx version. For JB 412 you need 8.4x version. Dorimanx is the kernel to use IF you dualboot newer Roms.

first flash siyah latest v6.0b5 and then flash the latest dorimanx kernel using the cwm.
Dorimanx is the best bet and would easily dual boot the roms you mentioned
Flash the latest dorimanx kernel v9.43 and you wil be good to go
Gud luck mate

guys. dorimanx kernel worked perfect. flashed it, booted it.... installed resurrection as second rom.... thank you so much.
