what could be the cause?
Better yet why not grab a logcat and see what is causing wake locks or install one of many apps to do this for you such as better battery stats or watchdog

Some apk's can cause this. Try to do factory reset.

Hi all, was wondering what is the best app for monitoring battery consumption by specific processes? I understand that it might be difficult to do so as we have to work out a way to split the battery used for simultaneously running processes, but just wondered if such an app exists. I am using battery monitor at the moment and it is good but it does not provide data by process. Thanks

I also wanna know. Also I want to know a RAM management app coz when I quit heavy games like FIFA 12, GTA III, Asphalt 6, Backstab the icons of my home screen restart. Due to RAM
Xperia Arc (rooted)
I prefer Battery Left

It says widget, but it's an app in your drawer as well.
Hi, thanks for the suggestion, by this just seems to be a bog standard battery app, not one that estimates usage by process.

Need help with the following information. Not too sure what to do about the wake locks running down my battery (only 3 weeks old and flat in 8-9 hours). Battery managers don't seem to be working.

Now! I wanna share this app to you. It is works on all device and ROM
THIS IS JUST A SHARE,THIS APP IS NOTMINE
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.greenify&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDNd
All you gotta do is install the app,and hibernate the apps that u think might be running in the background,or drains a lot of battery, and done!
Greenify help you identify and put the bad behaving apps into hibernation when you are not using them, stop them from lagging and battery leeching, in an unique way! They could do nothing without explicit launch by you or other apps, while still have full functionality when running in foreground, like what iOS apps act!

There are a few threads about this in both Q and A as well as General. It could be Maps caching the area or other apps that are using the GPS.
Edit: Here's one from a little while back with something that worked for the OP: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2334342&highlight=maps
I had this problem too. Maps would always be one of the top three consumers of my battery, even though I never used it. I app quarantined it.
I think Greenify would work as well if you still want to use Maps.
Zero problems here, doesn't even show in battery stats. I'm on stock unrooted.

Op same thing here
It's used 4% of my battery and I haven't even opened the maps app. Running modded version of CM10 with working IR and GPS
Swyped from my VZW SGS 4
it happens when i use Google Now. i end up killing the maps after using it. i even have location turned off.
Greenify works well for this.
Destroying my battery today after I reflashed last night. Ended up uninstalling maps. Guess I'll just install it when I need it...
So I recently updated to 402 firmware but was forced to downgrade back to 55 cause of severe battery drain and now back on 55 (after a clean install) the problem persists. I haven't installed anything yet and this is what my stats look like constantly

Note: Facebook is disabled... Lol and the name of the process that appears in the icon is: ANT HAL Service. I have no idea to check what's causing this since I'm not rooted. Anyone an idea?

Alright after countless restarts and force closing of potential apps that could be draining battery I managed so somehow make screen disappear completely from battery stats. I'm gonna reflash firmware cause this is kinda bull****. I've never had such issues before 4.4 and I'm getting the impression that there's quite a few issues with it so far..
Update: after reflashing a clean rom 2nd time in a row I still can't get screen to register in battery usage :S
Anyone got tips for me? I'm this close to going back to the store and getting a replacement.
Do a full wipe and see if issues are resolved.

Didn't work, got a new device today anyway. This one came with 402 and has no issues whatsoever.
Mine too, but not so munch. 5% per night. Heavy widget and home screen installed.

I have written some tips here in my Xperia Z2 battery saving thread. No doubt it will help you. Cheers!
