When you get to that screen, press Volume Down > pause > volume down > power button. This will boot you to recovery. From here I would recommend doing a nandroid, then factory reset, then clean install a new rom. Let me know how that works out for you, or if you need further assistance.

If you look at the picture the bootloader is locked. I would try unplugging it and holding power until it reboots.

Good call @adfurgerson, didnt see that. Yeah you could do that, or try the forced reboot with volume down + power button for 10 seconds, then when it goes dark press and hold the power button. After that you could try the battery pull to hopefully not destroy your data. Then he could try LGPNST teenybin. You still have some options, and seeing that screen means you should be fine with just a little bit of work. I hope it works out!

Battery can be dissconnected by taking phone apart there are a few guides in general section. You might be able to force a reboot if you can get to download mode. Plug phone into USB then press volume up, volume down, and power all at same time. If it goes into download mode unplug phone and hold power until it reboots. If no luck that way try power and volume down to try to get to factory reset screen.

Most of non-removeable phones provide key-combination reset.
For example,
===============================
iPhone = Lock +Volume+Home (3 keys Long press)
Galaxy Tab = Lock long press (about 8 sec)
===============================
But, no one knows about Razr reset key combination.
What combination key make a Razr reset?
As we know, android and all os are non-stable.
So we should know RAZR reset key.

Please hit thanks if i was of any help (it'll only take a sec )
That's the first question i asked after price! Lol
This is what I've been told. I didn't have any issues so i didn't required a reset.
Combination = sleep/wake button+volume up+volume down
You need to press all three buttons at once and hold down (abt 10sec)

Thanks for that but my question would still be... are you sure if this would work at any point while using the phone... be it the initial dual core screen or when its booting up or when its stuck somewhere during use... i think thats what ppl are worried about because at times the battery pull is the only way...
I think on all samsung devices holding the power button for like 10-15 seconds resets the phone but a few times on my SGS during a bad install and i was stuck in the DOWNLOAD option, only a battery pull solved it... nothing else...

Thanks for your answer.
Its perfectly reset worked!!
Just to clarify, it is Power button + Volume Down only for 8 Seconds to reset. Don't need to press both volume buttons.

You held down the volume button as it booted, and entered fastboot mode. Do the same thing again, reset the phone with the power +vol down buttons, let go immediately after the screen goes blank.
thank you for this info
let me try to clarify....
Possible combinations:
Power OFF:
a) power button (1sec) = normal boot
b) power button + vol down = fastboot
Power ON:
a) power button + vol down = shuts down
??
To fastboot mode: hold POWER+VOL_UP+VOL_DOWN
Battery pull: hold POWER+VOL_DOWN

well thats what it literally means... the way some posters here are talking, literal is not always the correct answer
and fastboot is all 3 buttons? not just PWR+VOLDOWN like some earlier posts claim?
ps: whats "cba"? no, i dont know what you "cba".
I removed the battery and the power button turns the phone back on. But it is not working to shut the phone down. It is not giving me the option to reboot if i long press it and if i short press it, it does not black the screen out. I have to pull the battery. To wake the phone i have to use my vol up button. This started happening out of no where.
Sounds like you might need to mod your power button or replace phone. In the meantime, Quickboot (market) will let you power down/reboot/bootloader/recovery from the app.

I dont think its that as it turns the phone on after removing the battery, so it does work. And like o said my volume button basically took over its function with waking the phone up when its sleeping.
Got it, i dled quick oot went into recovery and reboot and it works fine now. I dont know what happend.
THIS MORNING I FLASHED CM7 AND THEN WENT TO FLASH THE G APPS AFTER WIPING CACHE,IT WIPED BUT THEN I ACCIDENTALLY HIT THE n BUTTON WHICH IN THAT CASE IT REBOOT I BELIEVE WAS THE FIRST OPTION IN CWM BUT,SCREENS BLACKS AND THAT HOW IT IS AT THIS VERY MOMENT SO DID A BACKUP BEFORE INSTALLING CM7 BUT I ASSUME I NEED TO GET TO RECOVERY ..... SO QUESTION IS HOW AND WHATS THE BEST METHOD
TY
Did you try turning it off and then booting into recovery?
It doesnt turn off the screen is on but black( you can see light ) i held the power button down nothing happens,i also did combo of holding buttons downs nothing as well
You need to hold the power button in until the devices shuts off. It will shut off.

[Problem has been solved with your help its fines and I have G apps on it now thanks B][/B]
I got an Atrix from a friend who was having problems with it.
I tried turning it on and it stays tuck in a boot loop with the "Dual Core Technology" screen.
I tried a couple of key combinations to see if I could get to fastboot but nothing works. So far I've tried the following combinations:
1. holding the volume up button while powering on
2. holding the volume down button while powering on
3. holding volume up + volume down while putting the battery in and then pressing the power button
4. holding volume up + volume down while putting the battery in and then letting go of volume down and pressing the power button
5. holding power and volume up button while putting the battery in
I also tried this. After holding down the volume up button and pressing the power button, i tried hitting the volume down button once and then hitting volume up, hitting it twice and then volume up, 3 times and volume up, etc. etc. and then plugging in the phone to the computer, just in case the fastboot menu was there but I couldn't see it, but that doesn't seem to work either.
As it stands right now, all I'm getting is the boot loop. The phone had been sitting around for a while so I'm not really sure what the history is so all I have to go off of is what I have in front of me.
I'd appreciate any help in the matter.
Can you tell more history of the phone?
Is it rooted?
Is the bootloader unlocked?
Which ROM is it running if it's running one?

I'm pretty sure its not rooted and almost certain its the stock rom but I have no idea about the bootloader. My friend is not very tech-savy so I'm guessing that the bootloader is locked.
I have no way to verify any of this. All I have at this point is the phone that sits looping at the "dual core technology" screen.
If you have any ideas about which way to proceed from here, I'd greatly appreciate it!
What exactly is happening (down to the last detail) when you boot while holding Vol(-)?

When I have the volume down button pressed while booting, the green led stays on for 4-5 seconds, then the phone boots to the dual core screen, it'll stay there for about 5-7 seconds, then go to the M logo with the ripples and then the screen goes black for a second and then it loops back to the dual core screen. Only, this time, there is no delay between the 'dual core technology' screen and the M logo with the ripples.
Try this:
1) Remove battery
2) Replace battery while holding volume down button
3) Navigate to recovery
Should get you out of the loop.

Maybe the easiest way to get make it work again would be to flash the original stock rom with RSDLite.
It's very easy, you just need to connect your phone via fastboot ( when powering on hold vol(-) key until it says fastboot), then press vol(+) and the computer will detect it.
Just remember to flash the correcto sbf for your phone, otherwise you will have another bootloop.

Where do I get the stock rom?
How about you do some searching on your own for a change?
This time search for fruitcakes. That's the stock ROM.
i got s3, suddenly it started to reboot itself all the time, what i see is only the samsung logo and then black, and samsung again.
the funny thing is that when i put the battery in, it automaticly start with this loop.
during the loop, when i press home+volume up, i can see the cwm screen for two seconds, and then it reboot again.
if i press home+voulume down, i see the warning in the stock recovery, but when i press volume up, nothing changed, and eventually after two seconds it reboots again.
i tried to connect it to my pc, but it dosen't show it in device manager, and have no indication that i connected it.
also, when i connect it the charger, i see circle, and then a battery for a brief second, and then the circle again.
is it simple hardware problem (stuck power button? even though it seem okay, but it may explain the automatic turn on), or half SDS?
anyway, are there any recommondations? i have'nt flashed it recently or anything like it.

the regular, about flashing custom roms, if i want to continue press volume up, restart, volume down.
either way, it restarts.
any way it is the power button stuck in 1 mode?
If phone starts on battery insertion, before you push the button then yes, power button is shorted out.

Try leaving the battery out overnight/long time, it helped when I got my phone stuck in a bootloop. But that was due to oc/uv...did you try something risky, causing it to bootloop?
no, it was in regular use, nothing risky.
yesterday i dissassembled it and checked with multimeter, it seem that the power button shorting the circuit, so i ordered a new one, going to be a surgical operation...
