[MOD]myONEdx RC 4.0 FX+ [Sense 4 Icons] - HTC Desire X

I have made the Sense icon version of the myONEdx RC 4.0 FX+ meaning I have individually opened each apk of the original myONEdx RC 4.0 FX+ rom and replaced the Sense 5 icons with the Sense 4 icons. Also I have replaced the Sense 5 icons with the Sense 4 icons in the framework-res.apk and com.htc.resources.apk and many other places I cant remember
If anybody would like to have this ROM then please reply saying Yes you want the ROM and I will upload it
The ROM works perfectly fine. No problems in the ROM. All apks are zipaligned

Thats cool, but it might be a bit better to just upload the modified framework-res.apk and com.htc.resources.apk. Hopefully you'll make a few more modifications and make some systemui mods. Also do you need @ckpv5 permission ? I'd Pm him just incase

Yes I'll be needing ckpv5's permission to upload this ROM so please PM him
And yes uploading the modified framework-res.apk and com.htc.resources.apk alone won't work since I have individually opened each apk of the original myONEdx RC 4.0 FX+ rom in the /system/app directory and replaced the Sense 5 icons with the Sense 4 icons.
So I'll have to upload the full ROM once again

No you don't. You'd be better off posting it as a mod, just use the apk's you edited and the framework files. Just changing the icons is not enough to be called a ROM.

Currently using the STOCK ROM but tried all the ROMs available for our DX but I felt none was upto the mark. I wonder if anyone can help me get the animated weather wallpaper from sense 4.1?

Which files are that? From what theme did you took them?

all system/framework folder files and settings.apk from system/app folder copied them by root explorer and works
can someone give a 9 lockscreen files + extendet power menu without any modifications of themes and window animations? Just clear, stock design with 9 lockscreens and extendet power menu.

Download my theme. Check my signature. Dash Black or AOSP Gingerbread. Download the update.zip. The extrct its contents. Copy all files from folder framework to /system/framework. You re done.
Only thing is that you will have smaller icons. So I suggest you apply icon pack.
i think you may push only android.policy.jar and services.jar in framework and settings.apk in app system folder, but theme that you use must support 9lockscreen mod(must have pngs for all 9)...works on my g3

You will also need framework-res.apk with the PNGs for 9 lockscreen mod. And those jar files. Then done.
is it possible to pick a different picture for the lockscreen? Or do I need an app like wigetlocker for that?

It will be easier if some one just give a link to "clean" version of this mod.
It is ok if you have chosen one of the above given suggestions but if no, try using the Kyrillos' ROM 8.2, it will be having 9Lockscreen mod.

Transfer of Custom rom themes

I would like to transfer the theme from one rom to another. I will be transferring Scott's Developer edition theme from his Cleanrom Developer edition to a stock deodex'd rom. Is there any way to do this? I have little experience with themeing roms but I can follow directions pretty good.
isn't cleanrom pretty much a stock rom?

it can be as simple as pushing the specific apps into your phone but it isnt most of the time...
devs make loads of modifications and such so usually isnt as simple
but id suggest you check out tutorials about themeing and the intro to themeing thread

call me crazy but I *think* the blue theme from the dev edition is actually a skin defaulted by the ROM, called blu bugaloo or something? see if there's an apk in /system/app for that ROM, put it into the same place for the ROM you want, it should just show up in your skin options, apply it? you could also ask scott, he's a good dev and quite helpful

Yes that theme file is part of it but I dont think it changes everything. I have asked Scott and he has been helping me quite a bit, but I don't want to bug him either . He told me to ask on his forum too but I already had this topic open...

the skin is basically fusion.apk, to get any other themed items from a ROM, you could pull out these and use them in your new ROM:
/system/app/SystemUI.apk
/system/app/Rosie.apk
/system/framework/framework-res.apk
/system/framework/htc.resources.apk
/system/app/dialer.apk (only if the dialer is themed)
/system/app/phone.apk (same ^^^)

This has worked for everything but the GPS icon. The icon is still stock and visible even when disabled. Scott's rom has replaced the GPS icon and made it invisible when GPS was turned off. Any ideas?
you can replace the gps on icon with one that has been made transparent, but without being able to use pc at the moment cant tell you where its at. i think in either systemui or framework-res

I tried copying the systemui from Scott's rom to the stock rom and flashing it, but it doesn't make a difference. I verified that the same images from Scott's rom are in the rom I just flashed, as I can view them with root explorer. It still shows stock though.
The three custom image files for the gps icon in scotts rom are:
stat_sys_gps_acquiring
stat_sys_gps_acquiring1
stat_sys_gps_acquiring2
However, the rom is ignoring these files and instead using:
sym_gpsone_0_sprint
sym_gpsone_3_sprint
sym_gpsone_0_vzw
These three files are the stock white sense crosshair icons.
This is a view of the files from SystemUI.apk res\drawable-hdpi
The three blue icons are the ones I want to use.
That was small, here is a bigger version:

if you have 7zip you can open the apk with the images you want, copy them to your desktop, rename them to the name the new rom uses, then paste or drag them into the new apk (opened with 7zip), by the way, I think/hope you're off one png name, no way is a sprint rom using a vzw png lol
I was wrong, it is only using two files:
sym_gpsone_0_sprint
sym_gpsone_3_sprint
One is GPS active and one is GPS off.
I dont think renaming it is the issue. I have tried copying the entire systemUI.apk folder from Scott's rom over to the stock rom, and it still does the same thing. The default icons are also present in Scott's rom, just not used.
My next question is, what file (XML file?) references these files?

-trust me, pull the 3 images you want out of his sysUI using 7zip
-rename from stat_blah_acquire_0
to sym_sprint_gps_blah_0
-repeat steps for other pngs
-open up new rom sysui with 7zip
-paste in renamed pngs
-push modded apk to phone or flash it

Help with a Rosie mod?

someone would like to help me on a mod im working on? I found instructions here http://themikmik.com/showthread.php?13250-Rosie-mods on how to make landscape Rosie. Which I got modified and apk is below but I don't know if it works because Im on odex not deodex. When I converted it to odex Rosie would not boot just a black screen.
Anyone know what could be the problem? I'm not sure if it's because the instructions are for sense 4 not 4+ but it should be the same right?
Who ever is running the stock deodex rom would like to test out the deodexed apk of Rosie and tell if it works. ALSO BACK UP BEFORE TRYING.
Anyone.
i would bet sense 4+ is different

[REQ][UI][GB/ICS/JB] Xperia Pro Stock UI

Hi guys!
I need stock ui's (frameworks) mod of Xperia Pro. These ui's can be GB, ICS or JB. I want these ui's for the Keyboard letter case visibles. All custom roms ui's don't have case view, only stock roms ui's have this.
I can't make own ui. If you can not give me these ui's flashable zip file, show me how to export ui from stock firmwares....
Sorry for my English.

I tried this, and not worked in Gin2JellyBean Rom. Maybe other files needed?
Edit: I took stock GB's SystemUI.apk file.
SystemUI.apk is just the status bar not the whole OS UI
framework-res.apk holds the thing you want
Oops... Looks like I read the thread wrongly.
Framework-res.apk can be found in /system/framework

Thanks guys! I will try it.
I tried with as:
First, copied framework-res.apk from official Xperia Pro's ICS firmware to my desktop.
Than I downloaded this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2147958, and opened zip with 7-zip and replaced rom's framework-res.apk file with stock file.
After than, flashed modified rom's zip, everything completed successfully.
After flashing, I rebooted my phone. After reboot, the animated boot logo not gone for 10 minitues. So my phone not booted successfully.
The result is fail
It will not work because you are trying to use ICS framework on JB :silly:
The two are not compatible with one another.

[MOD][Xposed] CoolBeans AOSP Style Statusbar for TouchWiz

This Mod requires Xposed Framework
This has only been tested on S4 Stock TW Rom 4.3 but if you would like to use this on a different version please post your SystemUI.apk and I will look into supporting more versions.
This is a very lightweight mod that just replaces most of the Statusbar and Expanded Statusbar icons with AOSP style or AOSP-Blue Style icons.
If you would like to see more support for this mod please post your feedback and suggestions.
Installation Instructions:
Download .zip attachment
Extract .apk from zip
Push apk to phone and install
Enable CoolBeans Mod in Xposed->Modules app
Reboot (or Soft Reboot) phone
Download - http://theappproducer.com/coolbeans.php
Special thanks to rovo89 for the Xposed framework.
UPDATE
New version "Cool Beans White" just added. This is exact same mod but with icons in WHITE instead of BLUE. You can find this download on the same url above for original cool beans version
Nice work.
I ought to have this back when I had an i9100.... (don't have any use for it now, with my i9505 running a GP edition ROM)
Thanks.
Yes, i wouldn't have any use for it either except I need TW to work with my gear and got tired of looking at the TW icons... so this is why I made the mod.
It won't work on 4.1 jellybean right? I have a Galaxy Fame phone. I could upload systemui.apk twframework and framework if you want
sure, post them and i'll take a look
Could you please make one in reverse? Port Sammy to AOSP?
