I don't know who said it was delicate but I dropped mine screen down without so much as a scratch. Doesn't seem very delicate to me...

you have to be careful because the screen is like glass

Performance is good,no glich, for me it is great phone...

Firstly tell us the model available to you.
They have different screen sizes, different cameras, some have NFC, some have Gorilla Glass.
The SoC and screen resolution are the same, though.

The screen IS glass.

The screen is made of Gorilla Glass, so it's tougher than our iPhoney counterparts. I wouldn't get this, buy the new F3, that's what I'm considering. That or the G2 if I can convince my mom aha! xD

Model available in my country is 765

oh it's glass i thought it was felt. thanks for setting me straight. everyone is so helpful here.

This one has NFC, 4.7 inch screen, 5MP camera and doesn't have Gorilla Glass (please correct me if I'm wrong, guys).
But Gorilla Glass only diminishes the scratches. The glass resistance, if the phone falls to the ground, is basically the same.

In different markets, LG offers four different variants of this phone, with model number P760, P765, P768, and P769. The differences are: P760 and P765 are identical except one has NFC while the other does not; P768 has 8MP camera (others have 5MP); P769 has 4.5 inch screen and a different processor. (others have 4.7).
P760 have NFC,765 doesnt.

If you like custom roms i wouldn't recommend getting this phone. Get an s2 which have lots of support.

Now playing NDS games full speed on this gorgeous 4.5 inch screen, not a bad phone at all ^_^

Thinking about getting one...

What's your honest opinion of this phone? Should I wait for something coming up? Also looking at LG Nitro HD... Thoughts?

Its a good all rounded fone. Its up to you does it fit your needs?
Which ever fone you do get will be surpassed by something better why keep up with the Jones..
I say go into a store and try out the handsets you have in mind and go from there...
As of now, buy one. By April or so, I'd say wait for the SGS3

The only con I've seen so far with this phone is that it doesn't have gorilla glass. Anything else? I see some good devs.

I'm pretty sure it does have gorilla glass.

I think it is advertised as having gorilla glass. It is sturdy that's for sure. You can check some youtube videos on sgs2 drop tests.
After more than half a year in the market, I don't think there is any phone that can match the SGS2 and with a healthy modding community, it really is the phone to get if you are looking for one now.

Judging from the signature, I believe you got the S2 Sky Rocket, not the international Galaxy S2

Why would you even post this and wait for a reply?! U can get the answer in less than a minute if you use a bit of common sense....
http://bit.ly/OWT0LQ
Just because it's made out of gorillas, and doesn't mean it's not scratch proof. It's actually pretty bad if you ask me, and I've already got a ton kf scratches (not that I care though really)
Get a 1$ screen protector and 10$ case for your 600$ smartphone and you should be fine :fingers-crossed:

GS3 Bezel

Well, i finally dropped it. I wa sitting down and the phone was sitting in my pocket. (Small pockets+big phone, not a good idea). When i got up it slipped out of my pocket and rolled a bunch of times. Luckily, nothing happened to the screen bt the bezel is chipped pretty bad on 3/4 corners. Just wanna know, will samsung replace it? How much will it be? And is there any other alternate solution thats cheaper?
Thanks

Hey, really sorry to hear that!
Ok now i don't think samsung will do anything unless it's a mistake from their side. Still you can go and ask them and if they agree with to change the bezel then very good! I am pretty inexperienced about this thing but telling you from what I've heard and seen. If they don't agree then you might have to pay them to change the bezel.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
Yeah im pretty sure they wont replace without a fee. Thanks for the reply!

Also, replacing the bezel might be expensive. I read that it's attached to the screen.

Yeah, that sucks
But honestly, i dont know why samsung used so much plastic on a premium device. The bezel couldve been made out of something much stronger. Look at the iphone 5, i know it lacks in software but i gotta give it to apple, they made it out of very strong and materials.

Have look in accessories section if someone has replaced one .

Have you not read all the bad reviews about the iPhone 5 chipping on the corners of the bezel? Just search Google

[Q] Will these screens fit?

Even though these screens don't say E970 will they still work?

If anyone can give any input it would help thank you.
Nope. Both are for the LS version which is a different size than out E version.

When I was looking at getting a broken screen LGOG I saw these and was really tempted to try it. I'd like to know also plz
Sent from my LG-E970 using Tapatalk 2
They won't fit for the same reason cases for the LS970 won't fit our phones. The LS version is slightly longer and skinnier than ours. The LS is 5.19 inches tall. The E970 is 5.15 inches tall.

Thanks I really appreciate the input, guess I will just have to give it another shot on trying to find a screen. I am looking around and it really sucks that the sprint model is $50 cheaper then the At&t model.
Edit, nevermind, read forum rules.

Metal case.

Has anyone found any brushed metal or aluminum cases for this phone? I can't find any.
Not a one. Since dimensions of e970 are dissimilar to every other lgog we got shafted on cases and replacement parts.

:/ Saw that. So lame.
There are like red and blue ones if u still look for cases for that phone.

Aluminum cases tend to degrade signal.. I used to have one on another phone.. Looked cool but reduced antenna range and caused the phone to suck down the battery.
