But I don't want keep the WiFi locked on, I want my WiFi locked off while the tablet is sleeping. I said in settings that I don't want WiFi running, but in the image you can see he always turn off/on/off/on/... when the screen is off.
I see now soory misinterpretation of your first thats probably apps using background data try disabling apps that need sync also switch sync off after that its a bit of a puzzler

Same with Sync off. The strange thing is that WiFi turns on and off also when the tablet is not active!

Looking for an app that uses the camera LED as a flashlight. There are tons of those for the desire and N1 but I can't seem to find one for the Legend.
legend has to be rooted before you can do that, theres a guide here on the forum to root your legend.
btw search before making and entire new post there was just one similar few days ago
nexus one torch works if your legend is rooted :b

Lamppu (LED Torch) works on rooted phones.
Is it even a good idea to use a LED as a flashlight? I had a Samsung U700 before which somehow got broken. Whenever I turned it on the LED would turn on without any possibility to turn it off - unless I would use a hammer. Anyway after a while the LED went more blue-ish and besides that it got terribly hot whenever it was turned on for more than 10 seconds. I really doubt that it has any positive effect on the surrounding hardware - aka your entire HTC Legend!
@Tomm't: I don't think so - I've been using Lamppu (Thanks heaps, Dzondu!) for a few days now - fuse blows a lot at my house - and I've experienced no overheating problems or not turning off problems. Only problem I've had is reduced battery life due to the necessity to call the Camera API before you call the flash-light API (AFAIK, I'm no expert but I think that's correct).
Then again maybe I'm just using it more. Both are possible.

You don't need to run camera, just Lamppu itself and should work
I know you don't need to start the camera app, I mean that the Lamppu app makes an API call for the camera, effectively starting it up so it's sensing, and then turn on the flashlight with a second API call. AFAIK that's how it works and is the only way to make it work, so I meant that if you use the flashlight it basically starts the camera and just doesn't display the image, which takes battery power.

This is the Legend forum??
There is this app too, call Incredilight, works also on rooted Legends
froyo 2.2 has an official HTC flash light application ..
I have been using Lamppu and found some minor bugs..
After i have used it a couple of times the camera wont start, not with the LED turned on or off.. doesn't matter if i turn it off and try the camera, not even killing camera app solves the problem. The only solution i found was to reboot the phone.

Hi
my problem is that in the new build of ICS 587 is a running application that I consume too much battery, is the android OS, and occurs when the cell is at rest (night), can consume up to 50% of the battery, even more than the screen.
Now also occurs with the application System Android.
If anyone knows why or if there is a solution I will thanks thank you very much!
p/d: sorry for my English

Has anyone encountered an issue with NFC where tapping the checkbox to enable it flashes a checkmark for less than a second and then it disappears, meaning that NFC was not enabled?
I'm rooted and unlocked so I suppose there's a possible relationship there (I hope not, it doesn't seem to make sense for me).
I'm running stock firmware, 32GB Wifi (US).
Edit: needed a reboot. I'm in the process of trying to get Google Wallet running.
Mine doesn't work either, though I'm not entirely bothered but if a patch or simple solution occurs I'll persue it.
I've have no real need for it, but it works on my phone ok. - which is the Sony Xperia Z.
I neither have any idea as to what is causing the fault.

Ok, first you need to install root browser, and then open it, select data, you will see the folder USF, hold the icon, and then rename it to usf1,then ok. AFTER THAT, POWER OFF AND TURN ON AGAIN, FIX THE PROBLEM!
And for non-rooted devices.......

Non-rooted should have no problem turning on nfc, if you do experience that problem, take it to sony, maybe the tablet is defect
My Sony Xperia P vibrator works mostly normal, but sometimes it just stops working.
It happens when I press Menu, Home or Back buttons, after it stops working it doesn't work anywhere, tried in the service tests too.
My XP is on stock Jelly Bean 6.2.A.1.100 firmware with few mods, but this problem was in ICS also.
Can you help me with this?

If this problem was in ics too then most probably it's hardware problem.. Go to Sony centre.. They will check the hardware.
