Hi guys..
Two days ago, I made a wipe of the internal storage of my Galaxy 2. I don't know why after it, I lost a pone capabilities like, listen my phone calls. Actually, the phone is working as well as I like but, when I try to make any phone call, no sound on it.
Before the wipe, no problema was reported. It's not the first time I made a wipe. Ocasionally, I practice it to help the phone to work soft.
I don;t know if have to visit a technical support to check the internal parts like soung buttons controls or internal speaker.
Sorry for my English and thanks in advance for any help.
Is it able to play any kind of sound from its speaker ?
If it can then the speaker is all right
You can try reflashing the ROM.

Oh then I guess you'll have to get your internal speaker replaced and then check If its still working.
Good luck

Because you were hellraising, remember that the 9100 Samsung roms will flash one of their modems in place of whatever you had installed, so you'll need to flash one of our modems after you've flashed the ported Sammy rom. So it makes sense that ShoStock would have fixed that.
The AOSP roms won't replace the modem.
Don't know if that was your problem, but there it is.

I rooted my att galaxy s2 last night and flashed the unNamed rom. Everything seems to be working great except phone calls. The other person can't hear me and i cant hear them out of the earpiece nor on speaker phone. Anyone heard of this? I didn't make any phone calls afyer i only did the root, before flashing the rom so im not sure if something went wrong with the root or if it went wrong in flashing the rom. Thanks on advance.

That's weird... That's usually a symptom of flashing an I9100 ROM.
Did you do a wipe data/factory reset when flashing?
No i made sure it was the I777 version on the rom. The speaker works fine on music and the mic works on voice recorder, it's just on phone calls.

Weird. Check to make sure Baseband in Settings->About Phone is UCKH7.
If it is you're good there - might just need to reflash.
Strange the baseband in settings says i9100xxk13
Strange thing is my menu buttons work just fine unlike previous roms that i accidentally flashed in tge past that were for 9100.

at some point, you flashed an i9100 modem.....unnamed doesnt flash a modem
Ok yeah the rom i flashed before unnamed. I believe it was revolution it had my phone all messed up. So what's the easiest way of going back to the correct modem? Sorry I'm new to all this galaxy stuff. My inspire was so much easier lol.

you need the modem package from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1286432
this is why you dont flash things you dont understand....and please dont drag unnamed rom and gtg's name through the dirt with the title of this thread....it wasnt his rom that screwed it up.

Honestly helps, if you said you flashed another ROM first, the first reply would have solved the problem and nobody would fault you. But from your explanation, you only rooted the phone and flashed unnamed which makes it look like a problem with the ROM to anyone coming here looking to evaluate which ROM to use. As the person above me said, you make the Dev and Unnamed look bad by your mistake.

Might be a good idea to include modems with the roms now. Just for these reason...
Hi all,
I managed to port CWM to Galaxy player 4.0 (EU version - not for usa or KR). But I want your feedback to check if all works as it should.
Whats included:
-Voodoo Sound v10 (you need to install Voodoo Control or Voodoo Control Plus)
-CWM recovery 3.0.0.5 (with working su adb shell, usb mount storage, flash updates zip,...)
-Works on XXKPN or XXKPQ roms (or alternatively my custom rom)
-ROM Manager app is not supported: only reboot to recovery function works: don't try to update recovery from rom manager or to flash a rom from rom manager app
Here's the download link:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9TXANJ6S
Please post your experiences (positive and negative) to help development. Thanks!
omg thank you....i have been waiting for CWM for a really long time.....i will give it a try...report to you later
Steve how is clockwork working on the 4 but not the 5. i dont see how its possible that they are even 1 tiny bit different aside from screen size.
have you tested CWM on the 5.0 and know that it does not work?
i would love to know your method for making it work on the 4.

i have read that here, but not sure exactly how.
odd how Sammy made them so software different.
but i guess 2 galaxy 1 devices are not the same, but then again those are carrier specific also.
grrr damn it i want CWM on the 5.0

I have tried the kernel (not the new version) CWM work nicely (I was able to do a backup of my rom )
Clockwork worked fine but I did not know which device to select so I chose the I9000 and now the widgets and apps are messed up. Widgets do not show up, the apps "cannot be found" and the apps were shown with a box with the android in it. Luckily I was able to flash back to my stock ROM with no problems, but end up in losing my data -_-.

I haven't tested on the 5 because I down't have it and sorry but I don't develop kernels for devices I don't own... it will result in bricking your device instead of mine...
I don't think it will difficult anyways... For the 4.0 I used a version of CWM for stiock SGS i9000 as the devices partition and structure is exactly the same.

Obviously ROM manager is not supported apart from the reboot to recovery function. You flashed a i9000 rom on a different device, you are lucky you not bricked your device
Voodoo Control
Ok guys, i succeed to flashing my yp-g1 to this Kernel after flashing the ROM from STeVe from another thread in this forum. I think this rom and kernel work nice enough and my quadrant score is 1420 - 1524, even 1600++, if i run quadrant twice sequentially. Not bad improvement because my quadrant score before about 1408 (2.3.5 Gingerbread).
everything works : Wifi, Camera, FM Radio, Bluetooth, GPS, Voodoo Control (i install this my self), Animation, etc
Notification Area is not clean enough since STeVe write "STeVe's Galaxy Player" on this area.. after i see that, i feel that my yp-g1 is not mine, because there is your name (seriously, literally).
Overall : Nice Job STeVe .... Since it's the first and the only one Custom Rom for Galaxy S WIFI 4.0 until now.
Thank you.

Hello steve, I just wanted to let you know that I tried to flash the kernel on the us version and the only thing not working is the home button obviously. I'm LOVING voodoo sound, the sound is crystal clear now and the hiss basically disappeared!! so first of all thank you, second I was wondering if you could help me understand what to do to use your code while using the driver for the us version buttons...if that's what it is... I'm sorry I have zero knowledge about kernels but I know my way around basic linux(i manage web servers) ..it just seems pretty easy to me unexpert eyes to make it work if its just the buttons. Or if you want to do it I'll be glad to test it for you since I can reflash the stock rom so no bricking risks!

As to my experience, most of the problem arises due to uninstallation not done proplery. Because of this old files do not get erased from the memory and causes conflict.
I would advise you to use rom clean script and do a fresh install oof rom

Dzee could be correct about the modem… even if you have that modem. Go ahead and flash the modem zip in recovery. Wipe cache and dalvik. I even wipe cache and dalvik before rebooting.
The reason i say to flash it over itself if you already have it is because im wondering if you have been on stock jb before. You see.., ics and jb have a different partition layout and as ive said to others. You really should odin the stock jb to get those partitions correct before flashing any jb or kitkat roms.
But because of the specific way a zip flashes its contents. You maybe able to get away with just flashing the modem zip itself..and not have to mess with a one click exe or odin. Im not even sure if we have any one clicks here… but using odin and the stock firmware would be enough to correct the issue..if the modem doesnt work.
Atleast this is my take on your situation.
Folks,
I need help in a big way. I rooted my s9+ International several months ago and had the Renovate Ice Rom on it. It was working fine but I wanted to try out a different rom. The title of my post says it all. Since loading the other rom I have not been able to get it to recognize my T-Mo sim card (tried a new one also) to make/receive calls or texts. I can access the internet just fine. I've done everything that I could think of from doing a factory reset several times to flashing the original stock rom several times, trying 2 internet services in an attempt to "unlock" it. T-Mo is obviously no help and even after flashing the stock rom twice, I sent it to Samsung Singapore thinking that they could help but they want to charge $400 to put in a new motherboard which I declined. It's on it's way back to me.
Any and all suggestions will be greatly welcomed as I've reverted to using my LG V20 for the time being. I paid $1,000 for the s9+! This is the 1st time in years of flashing rom's that I've had this issue and may never flash another rom again due to this.
Help......please.

I looked through his entire thread, even saw some of your postings and couldn't find any mention of my issue. Mind pointing me to the exact place in his tread? Btw, I had his software on my phone prior to this coming up and it worked perfectly.
I'd appreciate it.
Flash the devbase rom. You most likely flashed the detonator mod and that can mess with returning to stock. Also follow the advice others gave and look in tek's thread. Easy solution for me when this happened was to clean flash devbase and go from there.

I'm currently on the stock rom after 2 factory resets then flashing the stock rom twice. I did have tek's mod on it "prior" to the above. Wouldn't all of the above have wiped his mod off the phone completely leaving nothing to uninstall?
I've done nothing to it since all of the above so supposedly it's a clean phone at this point. So based on that info., what would you suggest?
AND, thank you for the response as perhaps you and ddloco are on the right track....

Wiping doesn't eliminate it. You have to properly restore or flash with a rom that overwrites the mod.

As you're vouching for his rom, I'll root and install twrp again and flash his rom. Did you flash tek's mod afterwards as well if you're still on T-Mobile?
I'll get my phone back from Samsung Singapore this week and give it a shot. If it works, how do I get a "donation" to you?
Either way, thanks again for the help.
I can vouch for his rom cause I've run every one of them. If your getting it back from Samsung see if it works fine first. I don't need any donations. Give it to a charity of your choosing if you want. Yes I'm running teks mod on TMobile now. Having volte is a godsend on TMobile as I get to many dropped calls on 2g and hspa.

Samsung told me that they would have to charge me $400 to replace the motherboard (yes you read that right) as a fix which I obviously declined.
