I installed the Team Venom Rom on my Rooted HTC One and although they definitely have the best ROM out there, for some reason when I try and download some of my apps from the Play store it says parsing error. One app even says insufficient storage space, and I have several GB's of space available which it is not using. I would post this in their forum, but as I am a new member here I cannot do that as of yet. Any advice?

NVM, just seen that google has an issue and they are fixing it. Just so coincided with my installing the new ROM. I still can't download one game, says insufficient storage when there is a ton of it, but other than that the rest of the apps finally loaded as there were supposed to.

hi,
i'm using FROYO_2.2.1_Final_Android_Stock from elelinux with FlyKernel 12a (erasmux), i can say it is one of the best rom out there, but...a few days ago when I try to install a new application it says "Application not installed." i tried another and another, i flash the rom again, but still nothing
- i tried to install application on SDcard, Internal Memory and the Automatic mode from CM and no results
- apllications form market are installing ok from what i've seen
Please Help!
PS: sorry for my possibly bad english
So you're trying to install apps NOT from market? If yes, have you checked the 'unknown sources' from settings?
Sent from my HTC Hero using XDA App
yes. i've done that
update: i just found out that smaller applications about 1-5MB(tested 400kB, 3MB) are installing without a problem. the bigger ones are creating my problem...
I'm sure this has been answered before, but I can't seem to find the info about the Desire 601.
I've got the US Virgin Mobile version. I haven't taken the time or effort to update to 4.4, so I'm sitll on 4.2 or whatever it came with. The phone is rooted.
I looked at the Storage section of the device and it lists "Other" taking up 3.77. Is the OS really that large!? Is there any way to shrink that size some?
When I go into the app DiskUsage it shows the internal memory as being only 4.787GB, with "System data" taking up 405MB, which is more what I'd expect Android itself to take up.
So again, is there any way to free up some of the 8GB of data? Would upgrading to 4.4 help? Should I flash a custom ROM?
The main reason I want to free space is to install certain games like GTA that don't let you install data to the external card. And yes, I've tried FolderMount. It didn't work great for me.
Thanks!
Get s-off in order to use the link2sd app. It works great
I tried Rumrunner and the other one with a similar name a while back and both failed. Left me with a "Bootloader tampered" or whatever the wording is.
Maybe I'll give it another shot, thanks!
When u unlock ur bootloader, it says that. Its ok. Follow the instructions carefully
I was trying to install some custom apk's for some games and stuff ( skins, fonts, wallpapers) and after tapping install and waiting about a minute, I always get "app not installed". It worked before with no problems and all of a sudden it won't install anything unless from Google Play. I do not have any overlays enabled and previous version/stock apk is uninstalled. I tried installing with Lucky Patcher and it said there was a conflict with permissions and to uninstall app first. The original apk is gone, so not sure what's up there.
Below is what I have. Thanks!
Samsung Galaxy Note 4
Lollipop 5.0.1
Kernel 3.10.40-4243283
Rooted
SuperSu
Titanium Backup Pro
Busy Box
Unreal that no one here knows anything about this...

Is there any kind of error message or reason for the failure given? Anything you've changed for this to happen? Have you checked the logcat to see if there's any more information there?

Is this the post from 2015 that you are talking about, since this is your last post until lately)? When you didn't get help for some gaming and other stuff that you were trying to use Lucky Patcher for, so you decided we were all jerks? Like any problem ever should be able to be solved just by posting to XDA,?
okay
Maybe you should read this thread/post
Operators are not here 24/7 to tend to your needs. Please realize that. This is a developers site first and foremost.
I’m not talking about not getting help for lucky patcher years ago. I’m talking about the one I posted yesterday or day before yesterday about custom roms for my sm-t810. I googled it and checked here, obviously in the wrong places, to find roms compatible with my device/firmware. The other post I made about broken links and malware, etc, was because that thread had to do with theming, a guide, how to do it, etc. I was disappointed that several links were either broke or lead to some ad page.
Hi!
I just flashed MIUI v6 for the Oneplus One yesterday and I also flashed GAPPS, no problem, it all booted up fine and seamed to work just fine until I tried to install an app from the play store, I've tried many "fixes" and many different GAPPS-packages but all of them give me the error "Failed to download APP_NAME. There is insufficient space on the device." It seams to be an error in the DownloadQueue from what I can see from the logcat, I'm not that familiar with logcat and reading those messages but I though I'd give it a try, anyway the logcat is attached.
I really want to ues the MIUI rom as it's great looking and seams to be working really smooth otherwise. Oh, I have about 16 Gb free on my device so I'm far from using all the 64 Gb and having to little space.
Hi, i'm running a Moto E with android version 5.1, and since updating to this version of android I have had constantly so little space on the internal memory that I can't even update the pre-installed apps even though I have as good as as no other apps installed on the phone as well as zero images, videos, music or any other media files.
Therefore I've spent a few days trying to figure out how I could move the pre-installed apps to my SD-card.
So, I've rooted the phone, installed the program called Link2SD and I tried using that program to move the apps. Yet it gave me a warning:
"Failure
pkg: /data/app/com.google.android.apps.maps-1/base.apk Failure
[INSTALL_FAILED_INVALID_INSTALL_LOCATION]"
Then I found that it seems I also need to create a so-called "second partition" on my SD-card, but I've not yet managed to find a tutorial on the internet that worked for me.
Since then I've tried 6 or 7 other similar programs with no luck, in the process reading somewhere that it actually couldn't even be done on android versions 4.0 or later. Is this true? Could someone be a kind gentleman (or -woman) and guide me through this? That would make me very happy indeed.
Thanks in advance
Simon

It's better to install custom rom of android 6.0 + and flash gapps pico or nano and in android 6.0 + you can format your external SD card as internal so, it'll help to use all on external storage and gapps pico also takes minimum space so you definitely saved you internal storage to be full
if you don't know how to do that stuff then you can ask...!
