Detailed instructions need for Optimus G Sprint - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have the Sprint LG Optimus G and I want to flash it to Boost Mobile because I don't like Sprint itself.
I would like someone to kindly provide me with detailed instructions or source that could aid me in flashing over the carrier. I don't have big bucks to offer someone to help me out, that's why am looking to learn.
Also I am looking to buy the Samsung Galaxy Prevail off Craigslist to do the swap of ESN, but can I still have 4G with LTE? Boost confirmed there's LTE here in NYC, so someone help me please!

Have you tried the Sprint LG Optimus G forum?

[Q] Can you use an Unlocked Optimus T with Verizon???

Hey guys - I'm pretty new on this xda forum and was just wondering if the above "subject" line is possible??? I have searched online and have found no source. I know Verizon uses CDMA network whereas Tmobile uses GSM but maybe if a device can be unlocked that it'll make this possible? I greatly appreciate a feedback. Thanks!
There's no way. You answered your own question in the original post. If you unlock it you can only use it with GSM based carriers.

this can techncialy not work as the Optimus T only comes with the GSM or CDMA chip unlike the new iPhone which has both included.
The Optimus T is not a bad entry phone but considering that Android 4 is out and I am not sure if the Optimus will ever have it maybe look for a different more modern cheap phone to run Android on T Mobiles cheap prepaid plans

vibrant on virgin mobile?

so i hard bricked my vibrant and im sending it to mobile tech videos next friday and i wanted to know if its unlocked if it would work on virgin mobiles network because i currently have them. either way im un bricking it but they offer unlock services so i was gonna pay the 10$ extra to do it cause i love the phone. if not ill use it as a play phone for games
Edited: I gave the wrong advice. I was thinking Straight Talk. You were asking about VM. I believe below poster is correct, and since VM in the USA uses a CDMA network, then it would effectively be impossible to use your Vibrant with their service.
Virgin mobile in the US is a cdma network so you cant use a vibrant with it unfortunately.
OK thanks guys saved me 10 bucks

There are a couple free apps in the Google Play Store to unlock your vibrant if you decide you would like to use it on a different network in the future

Your options for service other than T-Mobile are at&t, straight talk(uses tmo and at&t but its cheaper) simple wireless and depending on where you live there might be other providers . Make sure its GSM and it will work but that doesn't guarantee 3g service. That depends on which frequency bands the service provided uses for 3g services. I have a captivate (at&t sgs1) unlocked and use my second tmo line, I don't get 3g on it because they don't share the same 3g frequency bands.

Samsung Admire CDMA Sprint?

Have recently inherited a Samsung Admire SCH-R720, running android 2.3.4.on the Cricket network. I have done much research and have gotten it rooted with CWM. I have found little to no information on XDA, but I want to know that since the phone is CDMA, and I believe connects to the sprint network, is there a way to change it so I can use it on the sprint network?
Attached a dump generated by Mobile Odin.
Haven't found such info myself but there's tons more help for the admire at androidforums or abcindicate

Sprint is LS970.
E971 is Rogers.
Confirm they proper model #.
LG Optimus G E971/3/5
AT&T using the GSM/UMTS Network, Sprint & Verizon are CDMA, Rogers, Telus & Bell are also GSM/UMTS so you need to stick with the carrier technology for the phone to work.
The issue with using a sprint ls970 is it lacks a sim card slot. There is a sim card mod for it but unless you are comfortable with a soldering iron then I wouldn't do it. Also you'll have to build a custom ROM to support it. So its possible but will take a fair bit of work.

[Q] T-Mobile LTE Just not working.

Hey guys, I am having a bit of a problem.
I had a Motorola Atrix HD, before I got the LG Optimus G(E970). I always had LTE here at work, matter of fact, most everyone else still has LTE here.
Since I got the Optimus G, I can't seem to get anything but HSPA+, on any rom/stock I have tried. I've tried a lot, and none seem to work.
I have a question. While writing this out, I thought of something. When I first got the device it was on 4.04. I don't have ATT, so I couldn't get the OTA, so I flashed a 4.1.2 stock rom through CWM. I swear I had LTE When I first used this phone, as it's pretty obvious on stock (4GLTE) next to signal.
Would me flashing that rom, instead of upgrading it via OTA, or that LGNSP program cause issues?
I also would like to point out, no matter what radio I flash, it never actually changes.
I've tried all the "tricks" to get LTE to work for T-Mobile, the service menu change, the *#*#4636#*#* menu. Nothing seems to change it.
If anyone has any insight on this, I would definitely appreciate it.
A lot of people have talked about having problems getting LTE to work on the T-Mobile network...have you tried hybrid modems ? The thread is somewhere around general subforums I believe...

Yea, I think that may be the problem, they don't seem to be flashing, as my baseband isn't changing at all. Is it safe to use a factory image after unlocking the bootloader?
I'm not 100% sure about that. I've never done that so I don't wanna tell you yes. Than you screw your phone up. I (think) you'd be safe doing so but I doubt that will change the fact of you not getting LTE...
