App that not allow root device - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi to everyone, i've got a problem. When i've tried to play pvp tournament on eternity warriors 2 a message tell me that i can't play cause my device is "jailbroken"(i think means rooted). I've tried temp unroot with ota rootkeeper and tried to uninstall super user and reboot phone(it's galaxy note 2 lte, on stock roms, just root with framaroot, when temp unroot, in phone stats my device is "normal" and i can receive ota), but nothing the game tell me the same message. i've got same prob with other games of game evil, but when temp unroot they work.
There is a way to play games and app that not allow root device on root device? with a temp unroot or something like this?

rooted devices/games
The game saves your data to its servers, so no matter if you have a rooted device or not it will show as rooted unless you clear your history of the game from your account
Sucks but that's how it goes for this game.

no one has found or is able to find the solution to the problem?

i also have this problem im testing on a both rooted galaxy s2 and a not rooted galaxy s2 also testing if the pvp works after u completely unroot the rooted galaxy s2 without temp root. if so it has to do with a file thats being checking when your phone is rooted this can be CWM check
its hard they did a great job on this one +1 to glu
wil post in here with solution.:good:

After a attemp to log into a different device the same problem occurred that I was not able to play pvp while I had a rooted device.
Meaning It's server sided. Needing to find out How to clear that.
Will post in here with further info/fixes If you found a solution yourself please post in here.

[Q] What's Going On with Multi-Window?

In the commercials and promos it shows apps like Chrome, Gmail, and Youtube working in multiwindow but there's no way to add new apps to the multi window on the Verizon Note II. Is there a way to fix this? Or is a fix coming officially soon?
There are ways if you are rooted. Otherwise, there will probably be an official fix soon.
Probably before the end of the month. AT&T and US Cellular already have the update, maybe even T Mobile as well.
Verizon always sucks at updating their devices.

I've tried everything to get KIES to work with my Windows 7 x64, including re-install of Kies multiple times and loading as admin...no joy. Without KIES working, is there no way to access the phone ROM for rooting?

You don't need Kies, only the Samsung drivers. I used the Toolkit to reinstall them because it wasn't working at first.

[Q] Unrooted, Superuser Won't Go Away, Can't Reroot

Hi,
I rooted my tab last year and it was great. My problems stemmed when I tried to unroot, as I have a factory defect and need to send the tablet off. I unrooted, and it worked, except that the ever persistent SuperUser application stayed. I don't know how to get rid of it or where it's located. Please help?
Thanks
Oh, and I tried to reroot but it didn't work.
You've still got superuser then how you sure that you have unrooted:what:
I m not too sure if you've successfully unrooted...
Try it again

Okay I tried it two more times using viperMOD PrimeTime. Superuser is still there. I installed Root Checker and it said I was not rooted.
Root checker is just an app that searches for superuser on your device...
.
.
I m sure your device is rooted still and you surely need a geek to sort this out

Are there any other root methods? Maybe I can redo the rooting process with a separate program.

Need help so lost try to make it as short as possible.
Phone Info:
- Samsung Galaxy S4 Verizon
- Model SCH-I545
- Build JSS15J.I545VRUEMK2
- Android 4.3
Ok, I tried Rooting my Phone and I use the Soft Root that was linked by someone on the forums. Gave me SuperUser Icon and used a app that checks to see if its Rooted and said it was. Now tried using some Root app's like GameCih and it tells me I need Root Admin or Root Privileges, something to that nature, and cant use the app. Iv been trying to remove that Soft Root but cant Figure it out. Used Odin3 and redid that .tar file for my Build. All when good and got everything the same as a fresh phone, but booting up still has the Pad Lock Icon and Custom logo on it and SuperU Icon. So I cant seem to unroot it, Tried to use the I545ALL-IN-ONE-TOOL posted on these forums but cant get it to working.
So what I need so to get this unrooted and back to factory default, and Rooted the right way, with I545ALL-IN-ONE-TOOL??. Please Help

Did you flash the no wipe tar?...if so use the full wipe tar file...you will lose your app data but it will restore to 100% full unrooted mdk...the all in one will work after that

That is what I used is the Saferoot, wasnt sure of the name, but just looked it up and thats what i have on my pc. Also I dont know how to flash it.. do I use the same Odin3 program for that? or is there another method.(Also is the Full wipe a different tar file?)
Edit: Ok I got it Flashed and back to stock now is there anything other then SafeRoot? that did not work the first time I tried it.

There are a few other methods...but I don't know them...I do know the other methods safety and security was questionable... Hence saferoot was made by trusted devs here...it should work...all the posts I have seen said they got successful root...did you open the supersu app that was installed and allow it to update binaries?... That is a very important step...if you did then make sure if you try this method again you follow each step it tells you...I don't know exactly how the process goes as I'm on4.2.2 and have to use the all in one tool for root...good luck...if it doesn't work hopefully someone who can help will chime in

Nope, I have no idea what these applications do, but a quick search on the forums basically leads to the conclusion that they're not ready for 4.3.
Given the build you're running, you're stuck with SELinux Enforcing since you can't replace the kernel. You'll need to find something else to do whatever you're trying to do.

You must finish your rooting by an app and guided by some instruction from some websites. Then maybe the master there will have a post which guiding you back to the starting point.

Okay. Just like what you said, there is a superuser app. How can you get that? I don't know but maybe you took acknowledge at some instructions and rooted your phone and then you get it. So go back to that instruction. Maybe there is another thread which is introducing the way of unroot.

hi
you are not obliged to use superuser app you can use supersu (from play store) , keep in mind that you have to update the binaries from superuser or supersu in order for root to work , you should also chack that usb debuging is checked on your phones developer options otherwise root wont work .

have you done it on this phone ? Could having more than one
Home launchers installed do anything bad during or affer root ?
Would having certain apps brick my device after root finishes if I do
something wrong ? I don't know how soft brick or hard brick works
or what causes them. I bricked one tablet when I tried changing
device id and reinstalled the fiemware to unbrick it.
I don't want to do something to mess up my phone.

No I have an S3 but after reading I see people have success with towelroot across the board. Root has nothing to do with launchers. Basically hard and soft bricks are caused by people not following directions or rooting a phone or tablet that no one has before. I do understand your concern

After getting root while trying to update binaries of superSU or superuser
it says failed. What do I do to fix it ? I haven't turned off or restarted phone since I used the root app.
I messed something up with my data yesterday when trying to change some things. I wasn't able to use internet through most apps except YouTube app for videos. I removed root files and apps and restarted then factory reset. Then rooted again the same app and the SuperSU binaries were installed.
