I have ATT. Other than turning data on in settings/mobile network settings/mobile data traffic and adding an ATT APN in settings/mobile network settins/APN, I did nothing else.

Sarius 24,
Wanted to ask a few question on the Bell version. I have confirmed it will work on the ATT LTE and HSPA+ networks.
Can you toggle this model between LTE and HSPA+ (Not a big deal just wondering) Also does this have the S planner which is the calendar feature which you can use the s pen for? Finally can you delete the bloatware that comes on the phone without rooting?
Thanks,
Since I am buying off contract I just want to see all of my options before buying the LTE model

One more question regarding the Canadian models. I saw on the Bell website that it lists the RAM as 512 MB. And then of course other places copy and paste this info. Can someone who owns these models confirm 1 gig of RAM?
Also heard that NFC works on the Canadian models? Anyone try to install Google wallet to see if it works?

I dont think H means LTE.
H+ is for HPSA+ which is 4g (really it is 3.5g)
It should say LTE.

4g is lte

Yeah I'm using stock ROM rooted with stock modem. I'm pretty sure T-Mobile is using 1900mhz for LTE and ATT uses 1700. Really digging the late though. Download and upload isn't a big concern but the ping has dropped to about half of what it was. Very happy with T-Mobile. I think the lte will spread quickly like their 4G did.

T-Mobile doesn't use 1900Mhz for LTE, only AWS 1700Mhz.
Regardless the i717 doesn't support LTE over 1900Mhz.

I like the techie stuff. For instance, in that screenshot I can see that they're using Band 4 (AWS 1700/2100Mhz), LTE bandwidth is 5Mhz which tells me that the maximum possible download/upload speeds are 37mbps down / 12mbps up in that particular market, EARFCN 2175 means that they're using C block of the AWS spectrum which is 10Mhz slice (5Mhz used for downlink, and 5mhz for uplink).
Most consumers don't care about this kinda stuff, but I do
Thanks again!

Has anyone successfully switched t-mobile?

As the topic says I am curious if anyone has made the switch to t-mobile and got everything working. There's a thread on the tmo forum about getting the AT&T variant working using QPST but they where asking for the QCN file from our version and I don't know if it's needed or if there's another work around. The guy that got that working on the att version still needs the qcn. The one he had didn't have all the nv's and was taken with older version qpst. It needs to be 2.7.374 or newer. He's still willing to work on it if you can get that to him.

You will only get edge data unless you are in a reframed area. Right now tmo 4g is on the 1900aws band which the Verizon note doesn't support

They do kind of just not that aws band. If you're in an area with the reframed towers you will 4g I'm not sure about there lte though.
I was only kind if joking though earlier. List your note on craiglist. I got 450 but sold within hours. Go to Walmart and pay 278 on contact with t mobile. Then call t mobile and mitigate your classic plan to a value plan for the 200 fee. You now have 60 a month and 478 for the phone.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using Tapatalk 2
I would do that but I am still under contract and the bezel on my note has some nicks from falling out of my pocket before I got a case for it. That's why I am trying to use phone instead of selling.
