I connected my flyer to a computer, but the front usb cables inside were connectet wrong on the motherboard.
since that big mistake my usb and charging functions on the flyer are almost dead.
I can charge my flyer only in a special way now.
1. unplug charger from AC
2. connect the charger to the flyer and wait till orange led is off
2. now plug in the charger to AC
otherwise the led is orange - but not charging
USB connection to PC is completely dead, adb, ruu...
I tried to change the usb pcb with a spare part, but no sucess.

Hemmm i've forget a thing..
The PDA Charges only 1 time at boot.. why?
I've cortocircuited pins 1 and 2, with the male usb jack in front of you and the white plastic in the low side.
very nice ... what's the usb port for?
The phone will only charge once because you will need to short pins 4 and 5 on the mini USB side of your connector.
To simplify, the TyTN looks for this short to decide what to do with the USB connection. You need to trick it into thinking that the USB cable is a charger.
There's another thread on this somewhere else. It might be a bit difficult to solder, but it'll work.
Oh. One more thing: Your phone will charge more than just the once (after a reboot)... It should also charge if it's turned off (standby). Might take a minute or so, but it should work.
Guys, I dropped the phone for the first time earlier. Now there's this prompt on the notification (see attached screenshot)

There's a irritating triangular sign on the notification bar which I can't clear.
The biggest problem is I can't charge the phone. I'm only able to charge only if I plug in the charger when the phone is off.
Any clues??

Something is damaged Maybe your microUSB? And perhaps thats what is causing your charging problems
Same issue
Hey did you happend to solve that issue. Having the same issue... Can not charge my phone. Phone charge shows 100 and when I unplug it drops down to lower number. It all happens after I got the same message trying to connect my flash usb drive. Please help anyone.
take your phone to a repair center. It might need a usb port replacement.
My usb port wont charge or connect to my PC. But when I plug it in while the phone is off you see the blue light blink and the phone boots. well I made jib and I was wondering is it a port issue or my jib? I connected the same points as this guy.

Anyone have any experience with this?
The safest way is to by one from ebay.Ive made a USB jig for a i9000 and i9100 to see if they work and they worked fine.The key to getting them to work isnt just in the soldering but in the resistance.You need to have 301K ohm of resistance when tested with a volt meter after you have made it or it wont work.

Got 301 but i had to use extra 1k resistors to get it. still not working
Does the wattage matter because these are all 1/2 a watt.
I'm thinking because the USB port failed I'm screwed.
Took it to sprint and they replaced it.
Hey! ?
Yesterday something weird happened.
I was charging my z2 with the magnet cable but it was kinda slow so i changed it to the normal usb cable. Suddenly the Phone stopped charging fluently! It charges for a second and then it doesnt for a few seconds! The magnet cable still charges. I tried 3 different usb cables and two differend wall chargers but it didnt solve my problem. I plugged in my USB Stick via OTG and this worked just fine!!!! Why the f cant i charge with the normal cable?!?! I have already calibrated the battery and wiped cache and dalvik but nothing solved my issue!

Hi,
I replaced the usb-c charging ribbon (illustration below):

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
and now phone won't charge. Tested on 2 ribbons and 2 LeMax2 phones.
Behavior after installing new ribbon: I can see that phone draws 0,04A (measured) from the charger. Strangely UI shows charging current to be above 1A.
Interesting observation made - after disconnecting battery, re-connecting battery, then plugging usb-c cable, the charging starts. Current (measured) is above 1A. But the moment I turn on the phone, the charging drops to 0,04A.
Just like there's some software thing going on, phone communicating with charging chip (?) on the ribbon and telling it that it's unauthorized (?) for this phone. Old charging ribbon works fine (but socket is worn out). I'd appreciate any hints about how to "teach" the phone that new charging ribbon is fine.
Regards,
T.
