Screwed up rooting galaxy s3. Simple fix? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was using odin to flash cwm in order to root my s3 and instead of clicking pda I clicked bootloader and flashed it. Phone still works but in recovery it cannot mount the sdcard int or ext to root. How can I flash back to stock bootloader? I rooted before but by accident and in a rush I clicked bootloader and not pda. Please help

[Q] Now that I have verizon 2.2 tell me how to fix CWM recovery

yesterday iwasaperson was extremely helpful to me. Thanks. I took my fascinate back to stock 2.1 and allowed it to update to 2.2. I then rooted my phone by flashing CWM recovery using ODIN. (red version) I had installed two files to root of drive one update.zip and the other for rooting the phone Su-----.zip. I ran them using the red version and restarted the phone. The phone is now rooted but I can't get back to CWM recovery.
I tried the following: I have ROM manager and flashed CWM but it wom't take. If I try to go into recovery I get the stock Samsung blue menu. I am thinking I need a different (CWM recovery comptabile) kernel or mod to get this to work.
Can someone help?
You need to flash a kernel other than stock, rebooting with the stock kernel will revert back to blue recovery

This (though in reverse order).
You need to reflash CWM by odin, go into Odin immediately upon the first boot (not using Rom Manager!), and flash a new kernel from the SDcard. The stock kernel will trash CWM if it gets a chance to boot.
saf66. any ones in mind and where I can obtain them. And as if I weren't asking enough questions. (Sorry I know I am) Methods to flash them?
Or any others of you please
Go into development at the top of page open stickies and nitsu has a list of kernels,a well as roms

Thedoman
Download the kernel you want , then odin cwr, boot into recovery, flash kernel and then reboot phone

(Q)Flashing CWM via mobile odin

I rooted my GN2 using the exynos abuse apk. Can I flash cwm using mobile odin and is it safe? Also since I didnt use odin to root, is there a way to unlock my bootloader without odin?

You have to unlock the bootloader before flashing a custom recovery. I did exactly what you are asking and got the yellow triangle warning. I had to install a stock image to clear it out.
Using the unlock method by Adam Outler TWRP recovery is installed.

Once you use Adams method in unlocking the bootloader you should still have your stock rooted rom. If you don't like twrp as you're recovery just download rom manager and you can flash cwmr from there.

What phone are you using? And if you want to go back to stock then you can just download the stock firmware for your phone and then just flash it with sp flash tool if you can't factory reset by recovery.
Galaxy Note 2 - rooted and customized leaked 4.3 stock
At&t Galaxy note 2 - rooted stock 4.1.2
Xperia Neo L - Bootloader unlocked, rooted and customized 4.0.4 stock.
