Are there any cool mods in general in terms of performance, battery, looks/customization, and things of that sort that work with 10.2 including 10.1 mods that continue to work on 10.2? I can't seem to find any other than Viper4Android :/

Hello guys, this is actually my first post. One quick question is there any CM9 rom with 3d camera /gallery working.
Thanks
No.
Sent from my Evo 3D GSM using xda app-developers app
ok thanks. Why does miui ics Rom have camera /3d gallery working since they are both AOSP builds. Can I just copy the camera apk from the miui Rom and flash it through cm9? Just a thought..
Sent from my PG86100 using xda app-developers app
If it was that easy we would have done it by now.
The reason 3d works on miui is because they are sense based ROMs
Ooh got it. Thanks for the clarification..

I was wondering if anybody's running jellybean with straight talk? I heard there was signal issues?? Anyway thanks in advance for all the tips.

I am using straight talk and I am rooted with liquid smooth JB RC8 rom and I have no signal issues at all. My phone mostly says H+ most of the time for the internet. I don't know how true that is but my internet speed is awesome for me most of the time.

Was just the ROM you put on it or did you have to flash other stuff to make it run smooth? Does it come with Google apps?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
I flashed the RC8 with a h0tcakes kernel and used Google jb 4.2 apps. It runs awesome. The kernel let's me over clock to 1836 but I keep it around 1700. Google now works and I have no problems. I also learned that touchwiz uses a lot of ram because as soon as I got rid of it I have around 250mb of ram free. When I I had the stock rom I usually had around 100.

I'm still a noob, all I know how to do so far is root the phone and flash liquidsmooth but how do you do all that other stuff and is it necessary to do to make the rom run properly?? Sorry if that sounds redundant lol

I'm on Straight talk with JB, and have had zero problems now that Jamie's 4.2.1 rom has been released http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2141236
Just change your APN to straight talk and you're good.

Honestly...read read read. This way if something eff's up you'll know how to fix it. But root the phone install the necessary gapps and then download rom manager and goo. im from the play store. Those will help you find kernels and gapps. But basically you install the gapps through recovery same as the rom. I'm not good at explaining it Lol. But go to the original dev forum and the liquidsmooth rc8 thread tells you the steps.

Anyone who enjoys CM should really give this a try. It is very simple, has plenty of options, is very stable.

Thick lizard komodo kernel works real well for me with this rom. I use trickster mod for kernel settings. Free on play store.

I think the question marks were more about the post....and same goes for me, so the whole point of the thread was to tell us to try that rom?

If someone likes cm. It is a nice rom. So yes try it. But there are many who like sense very much. But this is so fast compared to sense. I use TL kernel with it under clocked to 918. Still very fast.I also use trickster mod for kernel settings. It was simply a suggestion.

Yes thank you for this post. I don't see why recommending a rom in something like "general" chat would be questioned. But anyways, because of this post I'm now on this ROM and it's incredibly fast and stable.
I tried it but didn't like the gapps that came with it.

When i had it installed I had no issues. Now i'm on cm10.1 4.2.2, the one that comes with the xperia z launcher and acid audio engine. Can't remember the dev but it's in the android development forum.

Hi guys, i have by far only used TouchWiz rom. For days, i tried the aokp mr1 build 6.It was super awesome and smooth but just that sometimes, there would be a message stating that the camera was not connected. and when i flashed custom kernels(Siyah) it crashed and i had to reinstall the rom. I was wondering if there are any other roms out there that are like aokp that do not have this problem. Thanks for taking your time to see this thread, and i wish you guys have a pleasant day! I hope to get some answers soon!^^
As you might have read, all aosp aokp roms have this camera issue.

The rom sure, but the camera might have some glitches, e.g. slimbean has the same camera not connecting when you use the Canberra wrong, if I remember well: from camera scroll to album, close to homescreen and next time camera will not connect. I read that this is a aosp aokp problem, whereas please correct me if it was fixed
