So as everyone know, the 920 has the habit of "Spinning Cog" while Factory Resetting and i do hope that some of you guys haven't had to faced it yet. If you don't know what i am talking about, please google "Nokia Lumia 920 Spinning Cog" and you will have everything.

Now, what caught my attention is, a few days ago, i was on the chat with one of the Nokia Supporter Agent, because i am about to send the device in for RMA process, and i was doing the factory reset,and indeed, the phone was stuck at the spinning cog for 3 hours straight. So, i asked her about that problem and she said that "look like the device doesn't have enough power to boot itself up" (or she may mean that the device doesn't have enough power to reboot itself out of the resetting mode). It was kinda dull at first since i had charged it up to 100% , then disengaged the charge , before the factory resetting, so i thought the device has enough power.
So i had to get myself out of that state by doing our favorite : ROM Flash with Nokia Care. So i did and the 920 lives again, but i wasn't able to send it in right away so i set up the phone again for my daily uses. But now, i am ready to send it in, so i did the factory reset tonight but with something different. I charged up the device to 100%, removed the sim trey (might not be anything but just for the reference) , and then plugged it in the PC, before i hit the factory reset button. And the phone performed the reset successfully.
I was surprised, because i flashed the same ROM when my phone hit the spinning cog for the first time back in June, and this time, it performed the factory reset successfully without any problem. There are only 2 differences that i can think ,
1. I didn't load my 920 up with any media this time, so it wasn't filled with musics, videos and stuffs. (could explain why it was able to perform the reset under 10 mins)
2. it was plugged in with the PC when i did the reset
So, what is the TL;DR version of this?
Before doing the Factory Reset on Setting->About, charge the phone to 100%, then plug it into the PC before resting and hope for the best, let's me know if this is a *worked* Work Around.

P.S. I just updated to ICS (oficial) and still the same.
if thats happening while ur on charger, than yes change the charger.
if you are on custom ROM wipe and flash stock using odin not custom.
better to complete wipe including system partition.
Hi, thanks for the reply. This happens when charching and on the go too (not charching). I have stock ICS official.
Its very strange :/
Just wipe your cache/factory reset/erase all data/and then fully charge phone while off before first boot, last but not least wipe your battery stats in your cwm recovery,then boot, voila problem gone, and stop using diffrent charger's, use only samsung official charger

I rooted phone successfully but didn't want to unlock bootloader because I wanted to keep my 4G... I was ignorant to the fact that you can't flash Cyanogenmod with locked bootloader and tried flashing with bookstrap apk. Phone stuck in
"Failed To Boot 2"
if someone can help me get this fixed I'd be willing to donate to your developing.
any questions just pm me.
Im assuming you've tried a different SBF and still wont flash? If not i'd start there.. Also do a factory data reset before flashing with sbf, if not you may get bootloops. Can you type out exactly what it says under "staus"? Your ss cuts off
If your battery is too low, the flash will fail in rsd lite. Also your battery can't charge in rsd mode. You need to charge the battery with another phone, wall charger or cut a charger and put the black and red wire on the correct + and - points where your battery is.
Anybody notice the phone is showing it's in fastboot mode?
Thanks everyone for trying to help, Sprint replaced my phone though
Stuck at Fastboot Support Protocol

this happened after my photon froze during a OTA it stayed in the same screen for a few hours so I did a battery pull and I keep getting "Failed to boot 1"
I have my phone it this exact same situation. My battery is dead at the moment but I made a factory cable not sure if that's a suitable replacement for fully charged battery. Anyways whenever I plug in the factory cable it says "Fast Support Protocol" but if I press the volume+ rocker it does not do anything, it just stays there. If I hold the volume it simply blinks and turns off.
Is there any known solution for this? I already ordered a wall charger but would love to get it working before that gets here.
thnx all
been having keyboard crashes and then after that any email outlook folder wont open.
would soft restart phone 4-5 times and it would work again for a while but then no audio on the phone. Youtube wont play, Phone calls would connect but no audio at all.
would restart again and audio would come and then keyboard would crash again. and battery would drain within half an hour.
finally last night i restarted and phone is stuck on the boot manager screen and refuses to even factory reset. and i m stuck with a bricked phone or the worlds best paperweight
this screen shows up and is looping on that:

unless any of u knows how to factory reset and escape this boot loop?
luckily i backed up everything but i guess all my Asphalt 7 Heat and other game progress is lost, and whatsapp messages are gone so i dont know what people messaged me.
Hello my friend,
Don't panic !
I had these a few days !
You need to download Nokia Care suite and you will be able to reflash your phone in bootloader mode.
It's the same method for unbranded Nokia 920, you will be bale to find a tutorial on Google

i gave it to nokia care as its located 10 minutes from my place.
they gave me lumia 800 on loan as a spare phone..
they said it could be a motherboard issue also so better to send it to repair
Device is a pretty much new LG V30 from verizon, running android 8.
I have done pretty much nothing with the device yet. No root, no tinkering, nothing. I accidentally accepted the software update request it showed me today, which I didn't want. I shut the device down but everytime I would turn it on it would start the update progress.
The only other option I had was booting into recovery, so I did that. I was presented with the following options:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

}
So I went with factory reset. After that the phone won't boot anymore, and all I see is this screen:
What can I do now?
Again: No root. No unlocked bootloader. Nothing. I used LG's "require password on boot" feature though, which I assume is equal to android's full disk encryption. (?)
I talked to LG already since it's under warrenty (got it literally last week) - LG however told me the warrenty is void because there is a small crack on the back of the phone. WTF? Is that even true? I didn't drop the phone. I don't even know where the crack comes from. It's small. Shouldn't the warrenty cover that TOO instead of voiding the warrenty for everything else? Like jesus christ all I want is LG to fix my software why does a crack on the back matter?
From what I see my only option is to access fastboot and re-flash the ROM? The thing is: How do I access fastboot on this phone? Power and Vol- brings me into recovery (stock) everytime. Are there flashable images for the V30?
No one knows what I should try or what I could look into? This doesn't sound like it could be something overly complex to me.
Issue still persists. I had a talk with verzion at their store and they said I'd have to pay a $149 deductible. So what can I do now?
I'm assuming flashing a ROM via fastboot. Two questions:
1) Where can I get the ROM from?
2) How can I access fastboot on this phone? The method suggested everywhere puts me in LG's stock recovery, not in fastboot.
Ok, so i got this random Huawei P20Lite right?
Back isnt pealed off, works fine, no damages.
BUT WAIT... About Works Fine... It Wont really boot up into The OS!!!
Somethimes shows this really weired Image when pluged in and charging the phone, or randomly:

It will then boot up and greed you with A:
Again, not my Picture.
Acording to Huawei, You have to Use HiSuite to recover it.
1. Put the Phone into Fast Boot. AND conect to PC
2. Open HiSuite on Your PC and click on Recovery mode or whatever its called.
3. i donk know i forgot.
anyways, i get this nice little message
(In translated, this means That: Your Device doesnt support System Recovery.
Bro wth
Anyways, our phone story doesnt end there...
I tried doing it without the Computer.
using eRecovery!!! not surprising i know...
Still, it was stuck on booting animation trying to enter eRecovery.
According to Huawei, "this message is displayed when a system file is replaced or modified, or the system is manually updated to an unofficial version". They were responding to another user with the same issue as mine.
I think that this is the Issue. Still, the instructions to fix it, dont work. (as tested above.)
Tutorials show the eRecovery method without the PC.
Here are some info i found:
Another Guy having the same issue:
i forgot the link but someone else on XDA Had the same issue.
