Note 2 Titanium Backup Pro Help - Fixed - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

Anyone else experience Titanium Backup saving backups on their device rather than the external SD? Is there any way to change this?
See last response for the Fix.

Go to settings and change the path to extSd.

On the Backup Folder Location screen there is only a Detect Button.
I am in the process of moving the folder to my exd SD then I will hit detect again.

Fixed:
I moved the TitaniumBackup folder from my device to the SD card then opened Titanium Backup and clicked Detect.
Worked like a charm.

sd swap
Is it due to an sd swap option perhaps? I had a simular issue, solved it right away, but found it odd.
SD card and SD swap do not work how I had hoped.

Titanium Backup - Restoring apps with another phone

I went from HTC Desire to this Motorola Attic bad boy.
There are a few apps with data I want copied over, which I backed up on my Desire. I rooted my Atrix. But it doesn't see my backups.
Is it even possible to do this, or are my backups only compatible with the Desire, or what?

i brought my backups from my captivate over to my atrix. some of the apps didnt carry over the settings, but that wasnt a big deal. did you copy your titaniumbackup folder from the old phone to the new phone?
When you copy the backup files to the new phone, there is an option in titanium to reset the application...this will find the files and allow backup
Sent from my MB860 using XDA Premium App
Yep. You could also get the pro version that allows you dropbox backup.

Very confused. I am having the same problem. I got a new phone today (upgraded from G2 to G2x)
I inserted my old SD card, rooted my phone, installed TBUpro (latest from market,) went to backup/restore and there are no backups there. I tried restoring all apps and data anyway. It said it was successful. But nothing changed on my new phone. (Of course I rebooted and verified the SD card is being read.)
All of my backups are in the default folder of the SD card where TBUpro placed them (with the old phone.) I'm supposed to copy them somewhere else?
For now I've given up and am having App Brain reinstall all of my apps, and Google restore my personal info. I'd still love to have my system settings and whatnot restored by TBU though. WTF?

I just saw that too..
I brought most of my apps over from my MT3GS with TiBu. The only one I really had an issue with was Angry Birds, no matter how I restored it, it would force close. I'm thinking some kind of architecture difference.
Also watch what cross platform system settings you restore. I finally figured out restoring my old wireless ap info is what b0rked my wifi.
Hi... the phone needs to be rooted, but also needs sideloading enabled.

Yes, or change the backup location by pressing menu, preferences. Use detect to locate sdcard-ext this is the removable micro sd card.

Change the backup folder from Preferences screen
Yea I looked around online and I moved the backup file to the external SD. My only question now is if I get a new phone and of course the titanium app isn't on there, if I just reinstall it than it'll detect my back ups on my sdcard right?

Can't access Ext. SD.?

Only file app that sees the external is the built in File Explorer that came with the phone. Using Root Explorer...and there is no external SD folder.
Titanium Backup shows the capacity of the external...but when trying to select it's default backup folder...the only option I have is the internal.
Any help on this?

Your problem is a little different than mine.
I couldn't find mine. It's moved.
It's now at /mnt/externalSD or something very similar to that.
Hopefully that's all it is for you?

Having trouble with titanium backup on my s4

Titanium backup says that backup directory is not available and when I try to go to batches it comes up with this error
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2
mine reads /storage/emulated/0/titaniumbackup and not extsdcard, might want to look into that.

What brand of card? Many are having issues with sandisk. Does the card work otherwise?

That's the internal card of the main user (user 0). He is using the external card as I would expect most would given the limited space on the external card. You can change the back up location in the settings.

I have mine set to /mnt/extSdCard/ and have no issues. the TitaniumBackup folder is on the SD card already.
I occasionally have the same issue both on my S3 & S4. Using 32GB Sandisk cards in both. The Sandisk cards are the problem and it's a known issue. I usually do a battery pull, remove the card then reinsert it, reboot phone, and it will work again. Once, the phone just wouldn't detect any of my files on the card so I pulled it, put it in the adapter, inserted into my laptop and Windows automatically fixed the problem. Put it back in the phone and it worked fine, all files were still there. Try using one of these methods. Hope this helps.

Absolutely. Just as long as you change it to that location In TiBu you're good.

I went to setting but there are too many choices and I don't know what's the one that I have to take to backup everything right to the sdcard.
