Absolutely. Just as long as you change it to that location In TiBu you're good.

I went to setting but there are too many choices and I don't know what's the one that I have to take to backup everything right to the sdcard.

Yea I looked around online and I moved the backup file to the external SD. My only question now is if I get a new phone and of course the titanium app isn't on there, if I just reinstall it than it'll detect my back ups on my sdcard right?

Before I sent my phone off for repair I did a full backup of Apps and Data. Now my phone is back and I'm trying to restore but am unclear how to do this. In TB I don't see anywhere that allows me to choose to restore from where I backed up to. What am I missing?

I hope you still have the backups created by titanium backup with you... Because there is a very good probability that when u sent your phone for repair they formatted everything... If not
Open TB app, press the menu key and open batch option.
In the restore column there wud be an option to restore you apps.... If not then the backups have been deleted!!! You will have to manually install them again... Srry

TiB backs up to /mnt/sdcard/TitaniumBackup so you must have the SDCard you originally backed up to inserted or it won't know where to look.

From "Preferences", set your "Backup folder location" to the folder having your old backups. After that, go to "Backup/Restore" tab. Now, you can find all of those old backup entries. Either restore them individually or use "Batch" from menu.
That's it!
Perfect! That's exactly what I was looking for - thanx!

I'm not too sophisticated in all this stuff, not sure if/how to do this. I have a rooted Droid Razr Maxx, stock ROM (wanted to be able to tether without monthly fee). When I upgraded from my original Droid, I copied the sd and put the new one in the Razr. This sort of worked, but left the new 32gb card partitioned, with 8gb read as "sd card", the rear as "ext-sd card". The 8gb filled quickly, and I can't download much, even though I have a lot of space on the card. I have been backing up with Titanium Backup, hoping I can use it to fix this. I also purchased a Sandisk 64gb card, which I read (and it claims on the package) is comparable/formatted foe Android. Can I use the 64gb card, then put everything back with TB (and how)? Do I have to reformat the 32gb card instead, then get everything back on it with TB (and how)? Or do I just have to redownload apps, copy media to PC, then replace, without an easy route through TB? I'd appreciate any help, thanks.

Open TB and press the upper right symbol in the bar, now you see Batch back-up/restore- All in the top bar. Scroll down to the bottom and press Delete all backups. That`s it mate
or go into 'My Files' and delete the titanium backup folder

Cwm backup doesn't backup game data. If it did the backup would be massive. The data is on the memory card and stays there even if you factory reset or flash a new rom. You will only lose the data if you format sd card.
Best way to back up game data is to copy to your PC.

Just sync the game saves folder with Dropbox.
That gives you a 30 (or was it 90) day history of your old saves to download in case you f*#% up ingame aswell as the latest one

in my experience, in TiBackup, i just backup the apps normally, then the apps' data (game saves,score,..) will be backed up too, just that when you restore it, you need to choose to restore both app+data

Under titanium on the main menu it should say how much free space you have on each storage device can you see that it recognizes everything correctly

Reinstall titanium and try again. Otherwise check the download location
Settings>Prefrences> Backupfolder location, i would just point it to somewhere on your extSdCard. If it was a space issue, other from than that i dont think i can help much further.

Which didn't work at all for me.
It had been working perfectly without setting the backup location until (probably) when I upgraded to CM10.2
Did you try the other steps
I mist with?

Anyone else experience Titanium Backup saving backups on their device rather than the external SD? Is there any way to change this?

On the Backup Folder Location screen there is only a Detect Button.
I am in the process of moving the folder to my exd SD then I will hit detect again.
Fixed:
I moved the TitaniumBackup folder from my device to the SD card then opened Titanium Backup and clicked Detect.
Worked like a charm.
sd swap
Is it due to an sd swap option perhaps? I had a simular issue, solved it right away, but found it odd.
SD card and SD swap do not work how I had hoped.
