[Q] Problems with bluetooth and navigation - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

My S4 will not auto-connect to my Subaru Impreza 2013. It requires that I press the connection 4+ times for it to connect, even then it will randomly drop out. I've read where it is mentioned to ensure that the connect with all visible devices is checked (it is), but the way I read the option is that it should be visible to devices it has paired with regardless of whether that box is checked.
Another problem I have had is with navigation. Sometimes it will not reroute or if I leave the navigation app to look at a message, or answer a call it will start to crash the navigation. I have tried killing the app and restarting (super cool if there is traffic...) but it will continue to act oddly for several minutes.
I'm pretty sure the issue is with the S4, I exchanged my old S4 with another and continued to have the same problems, even though my Nexus4 had no issues.

[Q] Disconnected message when searching

Many times when searching via voice I'm getting a "disconnected" error with a list of other things to tap (like when you tap the clock to see a list of actions).
The phone is within a few feet, on a solid wifi connection. Droid Maxx from Verizon, stock ROM. Watch is the LG G Watch, including the update that came out today.
Any thoughts?

My LG G watch seems to be encountering the disconnected error a fair amount as well. It is paired with a Nexus 5.
It appears the bluetooth link is going down between the two, while the phone shows the watch as being connected if I use the Android Wear app on the phone to disconnect and then reconnect it gets stuck re-connecting. Rebooting the watch lets it connect again.
On other occasions it has reconnected itself after a while.
EDIT:
PS. It is worth noting that the watch does NOT display the disconnect icon when this happens (usually if you walk out of range you get a little cloud with a line through it)

I'm not getting extended disconnects; just failing to answer questions about half the time. If it fails, I can try again and it often works.

I just got my LG G Watch and paired it with my stock Moto X running 4.4. It paired no problem but I would say 95% of the time I get a disconnected message when doing a voice search. It is pretty infuriating.
Notifications still seem to come through and I still get served cards but voice search fails almost all the time. When I initially went from Wifi to 4g it worked for one search and then back to disconnected. It doesn't seem to be a phone problem since people on here are using a number of different phones. This is a bug that needs to get fixed ASAP by Google.
I am disappointed but hopeful they can get this quickly fixed.
I'm experiencing the exact same thing on my Gear Live. Its paired with stock S5. I just tried for like 5 minutes to get it to save a note and it would think for a while and then just disconnect.

Happens to me, too. Completely random though. Repairing the watch fixes it, but it is indeed annoying. We will have to wait for Google to fix this together with all the other bugs.
I found a small fix for this issue if anyone still needs help. I just set a tasker task to disconnect and reconnect bluetooth every hour. I haven't encounter this issue after doing so. It takes about 10 seconds and works great for me.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot.
What about trying to reply using voice within a received Hangout or email? I'm always getting an error "Can't reach Google at the moment". Am I the only one? But if I select a default reply from the available list, I can reply with no problems...

Nice idea, however it doesn't fix the issue for me (I bought Tasker specifically for this). Is this still working for you, or is it just improving things slightly?
Trouble is I don't use the voice search in public often (people stare!), but when I do want to show-off my watch's features, it fails - I look like a nob! Anyone found any sign that Google are looking at this? Does the Gear Live have this problem?

I found it only improves it a little, but it's not a full fix. Sometimes my watch works the whole day without connection problems and then suddenly multiple times in a short period of time.
I've read that the gear live has the same problem, so I guess it's android wear wide. Hopefully google is going to bring out an update soon which fixes all the annoying bugs.

Like stated by the previous post this is a simple fix. The only one that can truly fix the issue is Google. I have used this for a week and not had any issues relating to bluetooth disconnecting. One issue I noticed was Google Search sometimes breaks after using it multiple times in a short amount of time. I usually have to just force stop Google Search every 3 days also.
This has always been an issue I had even before Android Wear. If I used Google Now too much I couldn't get the "Okay Google" command to work. It seems this also happen when using wear too much. A simple force stop fixed it, but it is annoying when you want it to just work. Another thing I noticed was custom roms are having issues with Android Wear in my case.
Every time I use a custom rom on my Nexus 5 and try to use my LG G Watch I have constant disconnects and Google Search issues. Maybe Android Wear isn't playing nice with custom roms, but after using rooted stock for the last week I am experience very few issues compared to when using different custom roms. I noticed whenever I used a custom rom I got the "Connected, running sync loop". I have no idea if this causes the constant disconnects, but on stock with the simple "Connected" I have no issues.
I started out with the same problem using a Gear Live with a Sony Xperia Z1 Compact. The thing that fixed it for me was turning off battery saving mode on the phone - called stamina on the Xperia - that was turning off BT to save power. Now I rarely see the disconnected message.
Anyone found a solution to this problem?
My lg g watch also disconnects 90% of the time from my note 4. Anything from ok google to search or ser a reminder or or or

I have found this issue for Android Wear for my LG G watch R and Galaxy Note 3. If I use watchmaker, I have it set to vibrate twice upon disconnect and vibrate once upon connect. It is constantly disconnecting and immediately reconnecting (2 vibrations, followed immediately by a single vibration). This is extremely annoying and I see the same problem stated in the beginning, the voice search is constantly disconnected or cannot reach the server.
Cheers,
B.D.

Cloud Sync

Has anybody got Cloud Sync to work?
I want notifications to go to my watch without a bluetooth connection.
I can connect the watch to wifi but I can't get any updates from my watch.
I have the same problem. I am using a Note 4.
I already did a reset without a result .
The asus support could not help me.
It seems that not many owners tries to use this feature. Would be interesting if any zwatch 2 works with wifi.
I know mine does not respond to 'OK Google' when I am out of BT range, even if it says it is connected to WiFi. I do seem to be able to get notifications though, and I have always been able to execute Tasker Tasks from Wear Tasker.
But Android Wear docs say "OK Google" should work. I have seen similar reports from others using different watches so I am guessin this is just some typical broken Google goodness we'll have to wait for them to straighten out.
I used to have tons of sync issues with my Zenwatch (both first, second gen), and this trick solved all my issues - have no idea how and why, but it worked:
Just let my Zenwatch battery go empty, did not charge it for 4-5 days, than recharging. It connected my phone (mate 7) again normally, and all syncs (in my case weather, notifications, step counts) worked fine again - permanently. NO idea how it works (emptying cache watch?), but it worked for me.
All other suggestions of forums (re-installing, reconnecting): not..
Jus my 2c
After a bit of research and some common sense troubleshooting, I have my watch working as expected on my local Wi-Fi network.
I read something somewhere that Wear has had some issues on higher Wi-Fi channels. I also downloaded WiFi Analyzer to check used channels in my area. All APs were in the neighborhood of ch 6-11.
I forced my router to ch 1 and bingo. Phone is now upstairs at the other end of the house and everything is working great, including 'OK Google' (knock on wood).
My ZW 2 has a working wifi connection (2.4Ghz Port1). I know that because google maps on the watch is working even when the phone is switched off.
My problem ist, that no notification appears on the phone and no "ok google" command works, when phone and watch are only connected via wifi and bluetooth is switched off.
The asus support told me, that i am the only person with this problem who contacted them.
Seems to be a problem with my galaxy note 4.
I will give it a try with a xperia z3 compact the next days.
I can´t believe this is a hardware problem.

Moto Z Android 7.0 Nougat issues

I have a Moto Z Force (Droid), and got the OTA update for Nougat about a week ago (build NCL25.86-11). Since the update, I've had a lot of problems:
* Wifi issues: Right now my phone can't see any of the 10 or so access points near my house.
* Bluetooth Audio issues: Frequent skips listening to audio over bluetooth (every several minutes)
* Background Sync issues: Hangouts no longer syncs in the background, and Facebook seems to have occasional syncing issues. I get no Hangouts notifications at all (until I open the app), and my Facebook notifications are sometimes missing or delayed.
I think I may be having battery life issues with my Incipio battery Moto Mod, but I'm not sure about that.
Also, I can't remember if I tried this before the Nougat update, but when I'm using bluetooth and use voice commands to play music, all further bluetooth media plays back at extremely low (nearly inaudible) volume, even with bluetooth volume turned all the way to max, and I have to disconnect and reconnect to bluetooth to get normal volume on anything again.
I've tried multiple reboots, and a cache wipe. I'm pretty close to doing a factory reset, but was wondering if anyone else is experiencing these issues.
I am definitely seeing the Bluetooth audio skip - I downloaded my album off google play and had the same effect (verifies it isnt data connection). Skips and stutters on all audio - Pandora, Google Play, etc...
I have noticed WiFi issues - drops connection and comes back up
also getting zero notifications on apps.
Another issue I am seeing is the screen locking and becoming unresponsive - couple threads I have seen suggest this is caused by certain apps - so I am having to boot in safe mode and turn them on one at a time - friggin painstaking.
Definitely starting to miss my Note 5
By now I've no 7, but did you try to do a factory reset? I had similar problems with LG devices when upgrading vom 5 to 6. A factory reset resolved them completely. No fun to so so but ...
I've only experienced the Bluetooth issues. They went away after a reboot though.

I have absolutely no Bluetooth, cannot see or be seen by any other device. I'm exchanging it tomorrow.
Looks like my Wifi issue is not a Moto Z specific issue - it's happening exactly as described in this Nexus/Nougat forum post:
Code:
https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/nexus/Qbeb7ZP0wOw
Perform a factory reset, then see where you are. Factory resets aren't as bad as the "old" days. You can pick your backup image date from the Google Welcome menu screens as you set the phone back up. If you use Nova launcher, import your saved desktop back up.
I've had the Bluetooth Audio skips as well. I also cannot use my camera about 75% of the time. It gives me the Camera error, Please restart the Camera app. I did a FDR and issues are still present.

wifi is slow used to get 218 megs down now only 136 down
I can add an other Bluetoorh issue. When I'm listening to podcasts while the phone is connected to the audio system of my car and I get interrupted by a phone call (which is also routed to the audio system of my car) after the call ends audio play back resumes for about half a second and the stops. I've to start it manually on the phone to resume. The podcast app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bambuna.podcastaddict) is in paused state.
I'm definitely seeing WiFi drops and battery drain and heat issues with my Tumi battery mod. Also seeing screen freezes requiring a power button reset. Am getting very close to factory resetting.
I'm having problems going from WiFi to data. If I boot up the phone, it establishes a data connection. After Wifi is turned on, data permanently turns off and can't be reconnected without restarting the phone.
Note that I am using the phone overseas with a domestic (Japanese) sim card. Just last week however, I was using a Moto Z Droid Play and had no problems whatsoever. The standard Moto Z Droid has more Lte bands as well, so this shouldn't be happening.
I'm assuming it's a problem with WiFi to Lte handover related to Nougat?

Rather than restarting, toggle airplane mode.

Actually that doesn't work. I tried it numerous times, along with disabling mobile data and then enabling it. I'm going to wipe the phone tonight and do a fresh start to see if that solves the problem.

Fix for wrong default APN Settings for O2 on Android 7.0 Nougat
After Upgrade to Android 7.0 mobile data did not work on german O2 Network.
After some research i found the right APN Option:
MVNO-Type have to be changed from IMSI auf „Keine“
Source: Giga.de - Android 5.0 Lollipop-Bugs & Probleme: Lautlosmodus, WLAN, Videowiedergabe & mehr [Ãœbersicht]
After that change another apn appeared called "O2 Internet", selecting it and LTE started to work as expected.
Hope that's help someone.
And here I was thinking this was the smoothest update on any Android phone I've received. I have no issues at all, didn't factory reset either. I also listen to podcast all the time over bluetooth, and never once did it skip. Maybe it's google music issues?
Also battery life has gotten much better.
Bluetooth disconnected issues for me via car Bluetooth since update.
any one having problems with sound cutting out on the phone only way to get sound back is by rebooting ?????????
I think the issues I'm seeing are due to overheating. Seems to happen after the battery pack charging kicks in at 80%. Anyone else notice this?
For the BT skipping/noise, turn off BT and turn it back on. That fixes it for me.
Don't know what's triggering it, though.

Internet (WiFi&GSM) randomly stops working until reboot

My Samsung S7 Edge (running Android 7.0) has, for a while, been having the following problem: every so many days, without any obvious triggering cause, the internet ceases to work - in any app, and both on WiFi and on mobile connectivity. Things are only back to normal (i.e. the phone receives data through its WiFi/3G connection) if I restart the phone.
This occurs maybe once every 2 days or so, and is of course very disruptive. I always let the phone install OS updates but it doesn't look like any of them fixes this bug.
Any ideas? Thanks!
same here with a galaxy s8+. I observed that happens when hanging up the phone, especially in car, via bluetooth (though, the bluetooth detail can just be random).
Hm, in my case it doesn't seem to be at all related to phone calls, or at least it's not obvious how (perhaps after a given number of calls, the internet freezes, though it seems very random)
any more thoughts at all?

Faulty gps problem

So everytime I open Maps or Waze to help me navigate. It always keeps searching for gps, and it will not navigate without gps. Also , my location in both apps are completely wrong. I'm very sure that I've turned on gps in settings. Is it a software problem?
I have had the GPS problem from day one and have never found a solution; I have tried every suggestion located. It is extremely frustrating when I am trying to get somewhere and it has me driving circles: telling me to turn around, stating to turn early (or late), constantly recalculating, etc.
The map shows I am close to where I actually am, but it is off just enough to cause an issue. When I am in my home it shows I am actually up in some farmer's corn field rather than my subdivision. When I drive it shows I am driving through fields rather than on the road.
Im really upset because Ive had returned the mobile 2 times to the store because the GPS problem. Every damn Xperia XA ultra starts working great with the GPS and after 6 months or so it becomes to stop working. Ive used the app GPS test and it shows that the phone wouldn't connect to any Satellite signals. Then I try GPS test in my GF smartphone (Samsung J5 prime) and it connects to 20 or more satellites.
Did you find a solution?
