yep this ROM is amazing, the stock ROM feels dated compared to it.
TrickDroid also has wifi calling and is 1.29. Has some nice themes and tweaks too.

Wait!! WiFi calling is in this ROM!? Where? I mean, I don't really need it, but it would be nice to have in those moments. I was using TrickDroid and WiFi calling was there, but I don't remember where I found it, and it was on by default.
I'm back with Revolution because TrickDroid always had a 4G symbol even though I wasn't on 4G.
But where's the WiFi calling? I can't seem to find it. Or is it an app I have to download as well?
EDIT: Sorry, I have Renovate, not Revolution. LoL!! =.P
But my Call Forwarding option is not grayed out in this ROM. So I forward my missed calls to my Google Voice thus Google Voice mail works. LoL!! Is the Call Forwarding option grayed out in this ROM?

Yea. I used TrickDroid before. I had WiFi calling on that. I went back to Renovate. I was wondering why I didn't have WiFi calling, but I was comparing Renovate to Revolution. (The people here were linking to Revolution).
But I know. I didn't use TrickDroid because it always said I was on 4G regardless if I was or not.
Does anyone know if it's possible to rip this out of the stock firmware, so that it can be used with custom ROMs?
I want to use a custom ROM, but I can't because I need WiFi calling at home (crappy reception).

Trickdroid has wifi calling. I'm using 5.6.0 and it works great. It's 4.1.2. We have to wait for t mobile to release code for a 4.2.2 rom to get it working on the latest version.
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Its baked deep in the ROM so only T-Mobile custom ROMs would be able to run it.
Flash THIS on any 4.1.2 based Sense ROM. DO NOT FLASH ON 4.2.2!!!!!
I have the Maximus 7 rom and it runs wifi calling pretty well. I think any 4.1.2 Rom will run wifi calling just fine

There is no way to add it to 4.2.2 roms until a tmobile 4.2.2 rom is released. The only reason the international 4.1.2 roms had it was because they were able to extract the necessary parts of the rom and apply it to theirs, but those don't work on 4.2.2.

You cannot just "install an .apk or .zip" it just doesn't work on AOSP.
So many features of this phone rely on Sense I can't understand why anyone buys the Play edition. I love AOSP as much as anyone, but it seriously hampers the experience of the One.
Yes, ROMZ and such, but pure stock is good by me.

Ok. That's something I know and didn't ask about. I thought you were referring to the developer edition. Great thing about this phone is that it can be converted to any of the models. The s4 is unable to do this.

I haven't seen a flashable zip so Idk about it, but I like to use trickdroid 5.4, it is an international rom that has the option to flash tmobile WiFi calling. Sucks though because I don't think it's available through their website anymore. I have the zip if you're interested. I'm not sure that was the latest version before they switched to 4.2.2 though.

There is no T-Mobile wifi calling options for any Rom 4.2 and above, due to T-Mobile not releasing an official 4.2 update. I hope 4.3 come sooner rather than later, then it can be ported to all custom roms.

I just purchased my S5 yesterday (April 17th), but I regret selling my M8. I thought the S5 would have more dev support and more ROM's than M8, but I guess I was wrong. On the T-Mobile M8 Android Dev section there is a GPE ROM and a RUU to covert the M8 to stock android.
I was expecting like 5-10 ROMs on the S5 already (as was with the Note 3), but I guess I'm wrong? Or can I flash ROM's meant for the non T-Mobile S5?
That's my main question.
Where are the ROM's?
wow really?
Impatient much?
You do realize that this phone came out less then two weeks ago.
And I am sure that not that many people have jumped to this since there were so many people that develop that are already on the s4 and the s5 is not that much of a upgrade for them to switch.
Not to mention that the AT&T and Verizon cariants are not rootable yet and more developers are typically on those networks to begin with.
Give it a little more time for the others to get root and developers to move over and get used to the different setup and roms will come.

Well just saying the M8 has more ROM's and even stock android flashability (made that up )
Seriously though, there is a GPE ROM for M8 that allows you to flash back to stock still, and the RUU Google Play Edition, which essentially converts the M8 on T-Mobile (and other carriers) to a GPE version of the M8 permanately.

I haven't tried it, but I would assume it works fine as long as you keep the T-Mobile firmware. There is some discussion in the general thread about people running the international ROMs as well as in the international forums, look around. I think we'll start seeing custom ROMs built from the T-Mobile base sometime next week at the latest, I'm content with root for now.

I'm thinking of upgrading as well, but coming from carrier specific devices (the Samsung Infuse, ATT only, and the Nexus 4 on Simple Mobile), there hasn't been different variants. So the T-Mobile devices is compatible with ROMs built for the international variant? Would the kernels for it be compatible as well? The only thing that would be lost would be the carrier specific additions such as built-in VOIP? No differences in partition layout?

It did flash? Wonderful! Please let me know if the issue with 4G is kernel/radio based, or just due to a missing/selected APN.

APN shows T-Mobile, so I believe its just a kernel/radio issue. It's up to you if flashing a custom ROM is worth no LTE.

You need to verify the T-Mobile APN. Maybe the settings are not for T-Mobile LTE. I had the same issues after my flash but I am on AT&T. Just make sure the APN settings match that of T-Mobile LTE. Carriers have more then one APN.

More than I ,I hope .
Why do we have a Radio collection for different Models/CID if flashing them makes no difference ?
Could it be simply placebo ?
As it seems with the M8, the radios were pretty much the same with 4.4.4(same version numbers), the differences were with the software. The euro and developer builds had same version build numbers but the configs and software were the contributing dif's and what were causing the issues with ATT users and the new LTE configs being used by ATT.

I having same problem as OP I flashed different radios and made no difference. So I was like, I'll jus reconvert it back to AT&T but I wiped and restored a back up that I had b4 the conversion 4.4.3 and now LTE is working like it should. Internet loads instantly in the browsers.. So if it keeps working good after a couple of days then I'll just keep this backup..
