the problem is easy fixed by pushing 7 times on your build number..
it counts down to :silly:
also there are 2 screens on your phonecall.
*#0808#
and *#9090#
for adb and uart configurations

Hi guys. I recently managed to replace the touch screen on my X5A-G, so I've been testing some roms out, including a CM7 GB rom. Anyway, at some point my serial number and macc address has been over written. I've tried spoofing the macc address, and I've reflashed with FWDN tool, but that doesn't write the serial or macc to my tab. The Macc address is being written to a softmac file, though.
The FWDN tool lets me enter my WiFi MAC Address (OUI: 0x[first 6 chars MAC), NIC: 0x(last 6 chars MAC), and over write my serial number, and confirms Device's SerialNumber : [email protected]õÅ[FWDN during flash, and in the log file, (see: X5A-G_fwdn_log1_20120128). But after boot up, it is missing, getprop shows the following: [ro.serialno]: [].
Is my assumption correct that this is happening because the lk.rom/bootloader is locked? Would appreciate any advice on unlocking lk.rom and/or bootloader please.
Also, after playing about with toggling Airplane mode/shutdown/restart, the WiFi service started on boot a couple of times, and the second time I was able to log into my router, (see: 20120128 dumpsys wifi (wifi started)).
Connection lasted about half an hour (until reboot), but I couldn't browse in Stock Browser or Dolphin. Getting the connection back isn't straight forward. It can come back after toggling of airplane and rebooting, once, or trying it many times.
I'm not sure if this is related to airplane mode/wifi sleep policy, missing serial number, or both.
This particular model of HSG-X5a (G11) does root with tools such as z4root. SU has to be pushed and permissions set from ADB.

Have now resolved this with a factory flash of the firmware.
I want to have serial port access to the Modem on the SCH-i535. But when I dial the majic number *#7284# it just tries to call the number, I don't get the menu to select UART or PDA mode over USB. On the AT&T SGH-i747 the majic number works. I am running Android 4.3. Is there a way to switch the mode from PDA to UART on the SCH-i535? Do I need to downgrade the Android version to get the majic number to work?
Thanks alot,
Y-

Thx
I knows more than these codes
Im looking for a way to enable them through dialing
Ah okay, sorry chap that's my bad.
I can't call or SMS even though it reads a SIM Card.
Can't use EFS Pro because the phone is Exynos based.
Can't use Xposed because it doesn't work with Samsung stock ROMs and TouchWiz based custom ROMS.
I never did an EFS backup before the problem.
I can't edit cert with Z3X Box because it needs USB Serial COM port which is part of DM port that Exynos devices lack but Qualcomm devices have.
Flashing and re-partitioning didn't help either. Flashing Modem also didn't help.
Only option left is to find a custom ROM that isn't TouchWiz based so I can install Xposed and used an IMEI changer module.
If there is any other option left that I haven't explored yet it'll be helpful to every other person experiencing the same issue.
Hi try one of those service code to enable service usb mode:
USB Service - #0808#
To Control USB Logging - *#872564#
Service Mode USB - *#9090#
But I know you need to root your device in order to write imei : )

I rooted it three times expecting Xposed to work. After installing Kitkat, Lollipop 5.0 and Mashmallow 6.0 which are all TouchWiz based. Xposed isn't compatible with TouchWiz based ROMs.
CP logging isn't available in Exynos devices so I can't access the DM port. And the services requiring DM port are for Qualcomm devices anyway.
Hi
Its been 5 years that i have not used my Samsung galaxy s3, because i did some rooting thing and i was broke . Now after 5 years i have found my Galaxy s3 under a drawer and i seriously want to use it again.
Info i have -- 1) Model number - GT-I9300
2) Andriod Verson - 4.1.1
3) Baseband Version - Unknown
4) build Number - JRO03C.I9300XXDLH6
5) Kernel Version - 3.0.31-61691

SMP PREEMPT Tue Aug 21 00:06:17 KST 2012
6) IMEI- Null/ Null
7) ServiceMode - Empty (blank Screen with servicemode written on the top)
I have read few posts from here and there and tried doing the servicemode thing but i was unable to do any thing as my servicemode screen was blank.
when i type *7465625*638*# It prompts me to "personalization" screen where it says " Network Lock MCC/MNC [Space to write] and Control Key [space to write]"
If some one can help that would be so great. I think i did a poor job in explaining. Please ask me what ever is required and ill get onto it.. But trust me i read most of the threads and was unable to understand what to do.
I did a factory reset to get that "servicemode" screen to work but it did not work
