Hello
I try to root my NT 8GB with a defective SDCARD, the result:
*My NT Won't boot from SDCARD, is Not rooted, No ADB and No CWM Yet.
*My NT boot fine with Stock 1.4.2 firmware, I not able to install apk's from external sources. (Is posible to activate ADB???)
*I try unsuccessfully diferents methods to boot from diferents SD CARD's, like usb cable
The result is the same "Factory Reset" window.
There is a maximun numbers of unsuccessfully boot's from SDCARD's?
Is posible to install CWM in this conditions?
Some one can help me?
I'm in the same situation ( but with some differences )
I can't boot from any SDCard that I made except with this :
http://androidforums.com/nookcolor-...-twrp-2-1-1-bootable-sd-card-4-22-2012-a.html
To boot push power button and vol +.
In my case I can't reflash any due to an error with eMMC, but if your flash memory is OK, you will be able to install a ROM.
PS: It's only an idea based in my experience, I can't guarantee you anything.
That's for a nook color...

Yes, and still works. Forget the advice.
Generally speaking, its a bad idea to use things that were designed/built for other devices.
There is a Hope
Indirect is working on Local Root method

Hello all,
I need help!!
I wanted to reset my device (it has became too much irresponsive lately) and probably I did something wrong.
as far as I can remember from the SDE menu I did a Format Storage - Reset Android & Storage, then never booted since then... it keeps on being stuck on boot animation.
I downloaded a couple of Rom but when I try, with Update Firmware, to copy the archos.ext4.update into the disk my pc sees from archos it gives me "not enough space" (indeed, that archos disk is 300mb and all the roms are bigger than that)
What can I do? :crying:
Thank you!
Ok, solved by myself.
Just downloaded last official firmware from Archos (4.0.7) and did a firmware update.
Then just placed the rom .update in the /mnt/storage and rebooted
Hi all,
I've bought recently a smartphone Acer Liquid E1. This device had a 4GB memory. This is to small for me so I bought a 32 GB microsd card.
After I bought that I saw that i can not save apps on my sd card.
So the next stap will be root my device.
But I used all the programs but nothing works.
I found also the treat made by Brick3d but i can't find the right drivers. I found them on the acer site but my pc says that my device can not be installed...
So anyone please help me...
Hello!
First of all I'm Polish so don't be rude if i say something bad in English. I will use some help of dictionary.
I will tell you little story about my tablet. Almost year ago my brother tried to play Dead Space on it, but the game didnt work. He read that he must install an app to play it, so he installed an app called ChainFire3D. After install tablet just wanted to reboot. When turned off it tried to turn on, but came to state that is today. The tablet freeze at boot logo of the firm that it is.
I can access to recovery. I tried:
-wipe all
-apply update from sideload ( it checking file, sending it to tablet and then stop at 73% with error "* failed to write data 'protocol fault (no status)' *")
-apply update from external storage( it says install complete in 1 sec and do nothing)
So if u can help me i will be really thankful and compensate all hours that i spent on trying to repair this tablet.

Hello, I rooted my ICOO iCou D70G2 and managed to softbrick it into a loop at the Android messages. I bought another, identical tablet, and would now like to clone the new one into the old. I would very much appreciate complete, newbie level instructions on how this can be done.
Here is what I have tried so far.
I looked for a stock ROM for this device, but can't find one. The closest out there I could locate is for a D70Pro II. I don't know if it will work, and in any case, I still can't figure out how to flash the old tablet.
The old tablet does go into recovery mode using vol up and power. I tried putting the Pro II flash on the micro sd card (tried both img and zip, separate times), but the tablet isn't seeing the micro sd card in recovery mode with the update from sd card option. It shows a folder /sdcard with some seemingly empty subfolders, but even if I take out the micro sd card it shows the same set of folders and says choose a package.
I tried using the Intel USB drivers with adb, but the device isn't recognized in recovery mode by adb. Rockchip Batch Tools 1.8 also doesn't see the device, although it seems to load the ProII img file correctly.
It would be really great to get this old tablet to work. I don't have any CWM, TWRP or any other backup software on either device at this point. The new device is new from the box and not rooted.
