what you are using is a leaked firmware . dont expect much out of it..
Actually , it is easy to solve. Just go to settings , lock screen options, uncheck show clock on lock screen and turn off information ticker.
That's it, you can turn on the screen in less then 1 sec now.
cheers

Hey guys,

When i push the button again i come back to my homescreen and not to the lock screen
Any suggestions?

You don't, must be a bug. Reflash or repair.

Find No Lock application on market. It handles that. Keep in mind that it must be running to work.

But it's not a feature of the 2.1 FW, and as the OP hasn't mentioned any apps it's more than likely a bug.
I´m not sure if it was after froyo update, but my screen is turning on when I receive an SMS. Why is that? I want to stop it.
The phone should awake for a moment to the lock screen when you receive anything, messages or emails. You could turn off notifications and that might werk.

could turn notifications off (dont know how to though) like the guy above said but have BLN on, then only your touch buttons might light up and not the screen
dont know if that will work or not
why the disable lock screen on the samsung original froyo rom doesn´t work? Even if I set disable lock it doesn´t disable, is it a bug?

Hi guys,
i been having this very annoying problem with my GS3 LTE (9305) but when i compare to other GSIII's it seems only mine behave like this but i cant find any reason or any option for the cause.
Basically the problem is that when i call someone and the phone screen goes to off sometime i want to wake up the screen and press the button below the screen and what my phone does is to minimize the call application but on my friends phone the call application stays and only the screen is turned on.
Can you guys please help me finding the root cause to why my call application minimizes itself when the screen is off?
I been searching for every option there is and cant find anything useful, also i have never installed any other dialer application or anything like that.
Please help me this is getting me nuts.

I meant Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean roms... Jkays framework fixes this issue.
If i recall correctly it has something to do with a setting in s-voice I think. Also it happens with any application when the screen turns off.

Yes, this issue isn't unique to the dialler. If you let the screen timeout with any application then press the home key, it returns to the home screen.
The workaround is to make sure than in the S-Voice settings, you have "Open via the home key" option set. After this, a single home key press will wake the device without returning to the home screen.

Sadly that didnt work either. I had actually S Voice disabled but enabled and did what you said but it still minimizes the call application
EDIT: very strange , tested calling 4-5 times and suddenly after my friend called me it started working. I called my other cell before and it works fine now. THANK ALLOT MAN.
EDIT2: funny i tried to disable S-Vice again and to my surprise it stil works.
Hello. I can't find anything about this problem. I want you to help me.
Everytime I press the power button to go to sleep my s3 takes one second break and then the screen goes off. What is the problem?
Some information:
CyanogenMod 11 (SNAPSHOT M12);
GT-I9300;
Stock kernel;
No changes to CPU.

I mean, that if I want my phone to go to sleep it takes a second (screen stays on for a second) and then he sleeps. No matter if I press the power button or double tap the status bar.

Please check the Settings.
Example: If S-Voice by Double HOme Button is activated, going to the Home Screen has also a short delay.

It is a small issue caused by the HWComposer and is fixed in PAC rom. The issue is based on a commit that the Cyanogen guys maybe forgot to include in the buildbot's config. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/development/rom-pac-nightlies-t2668572 .
New ROM, something for Samsung to fix (if they read this)
Lock screen does this. Music widget is too wide.

Are you using lock star
Yes. Switched it off. Will see!
Lock star i think is not ready for 23u... When i was using it i was sometimes not able to unlock my 23u... Even power button did not work... I stop using lockstar and now is ok...
